Sorry to hear of your passing. My dear morris will Past away on the 18 of March 2009. It was very hard for me for a long time still hard but it will get easier as the days go bye just take one day at a time. Morris was my wild child but GOD I missed him when he left me. I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've been turning the house upside down and breaking in new litters of kittens!
It depends on the cat as to how they will react to a new addition to the family. I know you have probably worked it out by now, but I always had luck just paying extra, extra attention to the established cat. The new ones have so much to explore, they could ignore you completely until they get used to their surroundings. The established cat may feel neglected and act out, so extra attention helps.

PLEASE don`t feel that bringing the kittens in contributed to Cleos passing. I think God brought you the babies because he needed Cleo, and he did`nt want you to be without a cat!! My two Angel Kitties, Cupcake and Cricket have already visited with Cleo at the Rainbow Bridge, and they asked me to tell you that, altho she misses you greatly, she`s doing o.k. and making lots of Angel Friends!!

We are so, sooooo sorry to hear about Cleo! My mommy has brought kitties in and out of here a lot, and it affects each kitty in the house differently, but please don't believe it caused her to go! Kitties just get called away to the Heavyside Layer when it's their turn to start a new life!

Our Mom is glad to know that your Mom does not hold a grudge against those two new kittens. Our Mom agrees with your Mom that kittens really do help ease a bit of the grief. They can never replace the beloved pet that is gone, as each kitty is its own purrson...just as humans are individuals. But kittens...they make a person laugh when all they want to do is cry. And laughter is a very healing thing.
