How We Met
My husband and I were out of town for the weekend. We kept seeing this kitty that tried to enter a hotel through the lobby with guests. Apparently someone dropped her off, 'cause she was still in the parking lot the day of our departure. I bought a cat carrier and she travelled with us to the cat house. She's been part of the household now for 10 years or more and she enjoys her daily time in the garden window shared with her 11 kitty buddies. Orzo is a real sweet kitty and she loves sleeping with her mice.

Dear Orzo,
I have so much fun meowing with you. Yes, it's a shame you couldn't go out into the cattery. But it's going to get chilly again? Yikes! Our low last night was 72*! We hit 99* today with 8% humidity. That's typical for this time of year down here. Manchester has started a soccer club/team and I wrote to join up. I haven't heard back from him yet with all the specifics, but it should be fun. you wouldn't want

Yes, my Mama is one who cannot stand the humidity with the hot weather. One of her g'mas lived in West Palm Beach, FL and she really used to suffer on visits. The humidity was almost that bad in Dallas, she says. She is glad to be here in Phoenix. And yes, she thinks if it goes below 60* it is starting to get "cold". MOL! Sounds like your weather is pretty mild. I've had a great Thursday and hope you have, too. I really enjoy meowing with you, Orzo. You're a great furiend. Wow! Your Mom *does* love the heat! Where my Mama came from in Dallas, Texas it would get up to 105* and have some 80% humidity. Very sticky and uncomfortable. She just loves the dry heat out here. Thank you for pawing by with such sweet ♪ Happy Birthday ♫ wishes & goodies for us. What two extra-fun days we have enjoyed! We celebrated with Minnie Mouse cuppycakes (Mommy’s furiend who owns www.rosebakes.com made them for us). MerryBelle got a mew stainless steel Drinkwell Zen water fountain and Sissy got a red Petzip Luxury Stroller/carrier/car seat all in one. We also got a pink wand toy with a blinky ball on the end of it. You can see pics on the bottom of our pages. Of course, Casper Todd has already drooled & slobbered on our mew wand toy.
Thanks again for sharing our special days with us. Proverbs 27:9 says “A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” So true!

I'm sorry you got humidity and no rain for your gardens and trees. We had 98* here today with 14% humidity. Tomorrow is forecast to be 103*! I don't know if your Mom would like it as hot as it gets here. Last summer our highest temp was 119*! I'll bet it gets hotter this summer, since we started half way through spring. Sorry you didn't get the rain you expected. Maybe today. The 80s is pretty hot -- you are lucky you have A/C. We had a high today of 93* but with 8% humidity. Not a chance of rain for us. I'm doing just fine this Sunday. How are you doing? I'll bet you're glad your Mom is home. My Mama said there's always a lot of catch up work to do when you get home from vacation. Thank you for the sweet compliment! (Blush) Some people might not think our weather is "purrfect" because it gets so darn hot. Last summer's highest temp was 119*. I predict that we'll hit 120* this summer. It's already getting up in the high 90s. But my pawrents do love the weather and we get just enough rain to freshen everything up and feed the plants. So, you're getting your April showers in May? That's good if you're in a drought. Of course we are always in a drought -- we live in the middle of the Sonoran Desert! But my Mama's home State of Texas has been in drought conditions for many years now. We're praying some rain for them. We could use a little bit, too. My lovely Orzo,
You're order of three dozen mice has been received! I've been a busy boy lately. Aluminum has been my assistant (okay, she's been doing most of the work!). The stray cat "Tom" (whom mom is still trying to capture, it's been two years now) had the nerve to march right up to Aluminum and I and still our fresh kill! I ran away in horror while Alley stood her ground and growled. To bad he's got the speed advantage. I was just coming by to let you know my new CC plan. Because mom has been super busy with homework lately (and her birthday was recently) She has decided to schedule some days of the week "CC time". Those will be Saturday and Sunday.

also happening at janet's store earlier on this year and then the union found out what the stores/and chain was doing and got dragged into court for breaking their con-tract the older one just before it expired! now if they give anybody less than 20 scheduled hours a week they'll get into serious trouble and likely court action against them! janet did report it to the union steward at the store as others had too and he had a meeting with the store manager and thus hours were restored. they were only hand picking ones they thought would benefit from less hours and not scheduled ones! stupid or what? see ya for sports day friday! sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

What’s mew with you? It’s all good here! So far this week during our shelter BARL’s Recycled Loved Pet Adoption event, 6 kitties and 9 doggies have found their furever homes. Isn’t that pawsome?!

we did have
a new game called flashlight tag which we did play for an hour before we called it quits, but man was it quite the day. just minus ana and her boyfriend malachi who flew us home in time to get things going as friends were already here! janet walked 3 times squeezing in blogging till 11:30 a quick lunch, then cooking all afternoon staying inside when it was so nice and warm outside! today the wind is supposed to come up and likely will make it feel cooler, although the direction is supposed to change to the south and be into lower 70s by tomorrow with showers coming in the late afternoon and night into sat morning. sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

we can't tell
you more than what janet can as she was here and gone and will be doing the same today, although won't be home right after lunch to walk with pepper, the bank, and some gro-cery shopping as well as picking up one prescription which she might delay seeing she'll have to get the more ex-pensive one saturday after work as those are down to a few days and the other will last her through next week, so she'll get it then and that's and extra $4 in her pocket and the other will be $15 add to tat having to get gas too this week. sandy, ana,haley, angels

No, we've been blogging pretty regularly I think. Yes, my Daddy finished the picture of the eagle in flight and gave it to our friend Desiree. She just raved about it. My Daddy is a very good artist. But then so is my Mama. And my Mama writes poetry and has been published about four times in different anthologies. Family life here is pretty artistic and studious, with time out for watching a few movies free online. I'll miss you online if you are off for very long, but thanks for letting me know so I wouldn't worry. This coming Caturday is my 11th birthday and Manchester is throwing me a party at his house. good saturday morning vote seeing janet's still thinking it's friday as lately she's been working them and not getting them off, but will find out after work today what she's got off next week besides tuesday. just touching 70 monday or tuesday and colder today 50 as a front went through, then cooler by wed/thurs with another front and maybe some rainy weather which we can use. janet did get her shopping done with nat in the morning, then in the afternoon was helping straighten out master's mess before going into the garden to get peas/beets/tomato seeds/carrots all planted. she's hop-ing on getting out there again after work tomorrow since it's gonna be warmer than 50 today. sandy,ana,haley, angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

What’s mew with you? Not too much going on here. Mommy has a sinus headache. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America recently named Mississippi as the #1 Spring Allergy Capital. Pollen is everywhere causing itchy eyes, runny noses & hay fever. Good thing I stay indoors.
