The Friskies, the cat Oscar award
All CatChannel felines are winners!
An hour and 25 minutes of funny, cute and interesting short feline videos consisting of four categories:
1. CATness: the essence of cat behavior, capture a cat (or multiple cats) just being a cat, moments of pure cat wonder, quirkiness, and delight;
2. CATcom: capture a cat (or multiple cats) in a humorous situation;
3. CATventure: capture an indoor cat (or multiple cats) on an adventure;
4. CATchall: miscellaneous category for Entries that don't fit in to one of the other categories.
Judging criteria:
Originality & overall artistic impression (25%)
Cinematography & overall technical production (15%)
Audience appeal & entertainment quality (15%)
Portraying cat playfulness or quirks (if appropriate) (15%)
Sense that there's a story being told (15%)
Portraying cat's perspective (15%)
This year's awards took place in October but never to early to videotape kitties for the next event.

Hello
How do you get the socks out of the drawers? Smokey likes socks but only after they are wore. Since one of the kids moved out who would always wear socks and leave them everywhere Smokey does not get many socks. I like the normal cat toys and since I am blind in one eye I like toys that make a little noise. I like to beat up the plants in the bathroom too.
Mom woke up this morning to find a whole branch of a plant biten off. She is not too thrilled. But I get away with pretty much everything since I only have half a brain and she does not know how long I will live.

We noticed on the Catpaign & Mews room page that you have asked about a COTD badge. There are two ways to try to get a COTD badge. The first way is to follow all the instructions on page #46883 and then sign up for a campaign to be done for you by the Catpaign & Mews Room Crew. That means you have to be participating by voting for other kitties who are trying to get their COTD and COTM badges. We see you have not been getting thank yous for voting for those who were running for badges, so we assume you aren't voting for them. It's not fair for us to spend hours going around asking kitties that you haven't voted for, to vote for you, if you are not voting for them. You can find out who is running for COTD & COTM as a Catpaign & Mews Room candidate every day, Monday through Friday, on page 46883. THE OTHER WAY to get a badge is to announce that you will run your own independent camapign on a Saturday or Sunday. You need to look at page #46883 and make sure someone else hasn't announced they will be running an independent weekend campaign. It causes hard feeling when two members run a race on the same day, and it is much friendlier to run your race on a day when no one else is running.
Pippi, the best way to get a COTD badge is to start blogging and voting for the kitties who have waited their turn to be COTD. Then when you sign up for your catpaign, and get your day scheduled, they will come and vote for you. Please remember it will take about 10-12 weeks for your name to come to the top after you sign up.

I gave you a vote. I also don't like dogs. When mommy's friends bring dogs into my house, I chase them and corner them. I am 16 years old and previously had 2 dog family members that have passed on. I co-existed with the dogs but they knew who was boss. I now have a 2-year old sister and she knows who is boss. I sleep a good part of the time but I do have fun chasing my little sister, Ginger.Come visit me, Coco & Ginger.
