The Friskies, the cat Oscar award
All CatChannel felines are winners!
An hour and 25 minutes of funny, cute and interesting short feline videos consisting of four categories:
1. CATness: the essence of cat behavior, capture a cat (or multiple cats) just being a cat, moments of pure cat wonder, quirkiness, and delight;
2. CATcom: capture a cat (or multiple cats) in a humorous situation;
3. CATventure: capture an indoor cat (or multiple cats) on an adventure;
4. CATchall: miscellaneous category for Entries that don't fit in to one of the other categories.
Judging criteria:
Originality & overall artistic impression (25%)
Cinematography & overall technical production (15%)
Audience appeal & entertainment quality (15%)
Portraying cat playfulness or quirks (if appropriate) (15%)
Sense that there's a story being told (15%)
Portraying cat's perspective (15%)
This year's awards took place in October but never to early to videotape kitties for the next event.

Vote Jackee Oct. 1!!
Hi! This is Jackee and I’m going to need your vote on Oct. 1. I was just a kitten at a shelter. The people who are now my family came looking for two female cats after there male cat Sox died from a Urinary Blockage. They picked out Pippi right away and later decided to get a Siamese cat. But right before they paid for them, they decided to get me. My ears and eyes were huge. My purr is super loud, and I think I’m a dog. I rollover when I’m REALLY happy. When my owner is sad I help comfort her. Pippi and the dog get in fights, but I like the dog. Sometimes Pippi and I get in fights. I am named for Jackson Pollock because of my little dot on my nose. I like to go in boxes. I LOVE to chase hair bands. I love my rat!!! My owners say he’s stuffed but I think he’s real. His name is Rover.
