Hi Ashley
Hello, kittehs. Today I address you for the final time as your Queen of December. Your Queen thanks you for your support these past two months, during my catpaign and during my reign. Furrendships have been made along the way, and for these I am most grateful.
2009 has brought terrible sadness with illnesses and losses; yet, also it has brought joy, with new kittehs being adopted into furever homes, birthdays and adoptiversaries being celebrated, and bonding of the CC family as never before.
It has been a privilege and an honor to serve you. And while it was difficult at times to bring some news to all of you, I delighted in the notes I received of your day-to-day lives; from diets to redecorating the Christmas tree for your pawrents; from sudden escapes and equally sudden recaptures and withdrawal of treats as punishment; from illnesses to restored health; from daily activities to purr therapy for a sick pawrent.
My final hope is that now you will continue to delight me, from being loyal subjects to being life-long furrends.
Take care, my dear furrends. Luv one another, share one another’s burdens, take pleasure in one another’s victories.

Oh boy!! I escaped from the sunroom a little while ago,and did I ever have FUN!! Dixon and I played and he showed me all his favorite spots. I was having a grand ole time,when eagle-eyed mom went to check on me(the cat door was locked!)and noticed me gone. Dixon or I figured out how to push or jump on the big door and make it open! Neat,huh? Well,mom found me under the old storage trailer and tricked me out with a long blade of grass (sigh) I should know better than to fall for that! Anyways,I am now a prisoner back in the house,where mom said I would be 'safe' She says I don't have any 'outside sense' and something could get me. Oh well,it was fun while it lasted,hehe! HI Ashley
I have not been able to get on CC much lately except to vote, as Mom has been goofing off on fb playing her games and cuddling with me to keep warm. It is snowing now and it is supposed to snow tomorrow. Thankfully Mom will be safe at home with me. While Mom was waiting for a ride downstairs yesterday, I cried and played with the chain from the door to get her attention to come back, or to at least to turn on CC, but she just hopped in G-ma's car and left. She came back 12 hours later smelling like dog. However, she did have a yummy Peppermint shake which I did get to taste. Pretty good, but I prefer Vanilla. I rubbed her really good so she smelled only like me, and we went to bed. Those dogs must have tired her out. I heard you have to take them out and walk them! She is very glad I am a kitty!!!

We just heard about Basil, and know how you must feel. Our mom lost her Angel Gidget last year. But Gidget tells us that the Rainbow Bridge is such a wonderful place to live, so we hope you and your family can find some comfort knowing this.

It has been a week of highs and lows, happiness and deep sadness. If I have omitted someone in error, please let me know.....
The Rainbow Bridge welcomed a new Angel, Roxie #151433 on Nov. 29.
ET #147060 has been taken off her treatments as they were not helping. Her family cherishes each day they have with her.
Pepper #125654 has her good days and her bad days, and her family is grateful for each day she is with them.
Tigger #82433 is eating a little more and doing better. Her family is hoping her appetite will return to normal soon after all her shots are over.
Several of our CC pawrents have undergone or are about to undergo serious treatments or surgery, and we pray for healing for them all: Snowflake’s Mom #10546; Beacon’s Mom #96770; (Angel) Elvis’ Mom #107253; Simba’s Mom 16612.
Spookie’s Dad #87879 is doing better and beginning to walk a little again; Little Bit’s Mom #82473 fell down the stairs but is all right. Her MS is a little worse, and next year they may need to move to a house without stairs.
Heaven welcomed home Jim Chandler, the Dadcat of the Sunshine Gang. While we all are still mourning his sudden and unexpected loss, there is happy mews about his Gang Missy, Taz, Ole Gray and Zippi: Jim’s daughter Nicole will be moving into his home with her own kitteh and doggie, and maintaining The Gang’s furever home. We know Jim is smiling down on all of us today, and we are grateful to have had him in our lives.

Dear Ashley,
I want you to know that your brother Angel Basil was well received at the Rainbow Bridge. You already know that he has received his wings and halo and is also safe, healthy and whole, again. A bunch of us have also helped him hang his star in the heavens and you can see it on a clear night if you look for it. It will be very bright. Me and my Mom and my family all want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's never easy to lose a furiend. Many here on CC have been through it and it always hurts. Many angels are missing their families, but someday we will all be reunited. Take care.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE..
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the RAINBOW BRIDGE. There are meadows & hills for all our special friends so they can run & play together. There is plenty of food, water & plenty of sunshine,and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill & old are restored to health & vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole & strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days & times gone by. The animals are happy & content, except for one thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops & looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent,his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group,flying over the grass faster & faster. You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart... Mom gave me weasel chasing a ball toy..I love stalking & chasing it..SCHRODINGER'S ACCIDENTALLY DISCOVERED LAW OF OBJECT OCCUPANCY..All bags & boxes in a given rm must contain a cat within earliest poss. nano second..OHM'S LAW OF OBEDIENCE RESISTANCE.. A cat's resistance varies in inverse proportion to a humans desire for her to do something..FELINE LAWS OF PHYSICS..Cats have their own rules of physics..NEWTON'S 1ST LAW OF CAT MOTION..A cat will move in a straight line, unless there is a really good reason to change direction..NOV 27TH PIPERS 117080 1ST BIRTHDAY.ROSWELL 112708. been on CC 1 YR.. In bed resting at home & weak..*SNOWFLAKE'S 10546 MOM has surgery today..TIMMY'S 8851 A gray film has formed over his eye & he has a vet appt on Tues 12/01.His Mom has appt on 11/30 for epidural in her neck hoping to help the pain..CHERISH 17622 is 7 LBS under weight; gaining back a bit of weight she lost over past yr. It all had to do with having 2 teeth pulled. Eating not very comfortable. Doing well now..MR. KITTY; ANGEL & BOBBI 31285 bad respir infections; coughing & sneezing -on antibiotics. Angel had steroid shot due to allergy & all her hair was falling out. She feels better now..BEACON'S MOM KAREN #96770 begins chemo treatments Dec. 2..ROXIE #151433, unexpectedly crossed RB -sibling of Angel Penny Pearl ..Ashley & family #156097 for loss of their 14-yr. old tabby BASIL- had severe bladder stones - Mom knew he could not endure surgery He crossed RB last wk..TIGGER #82433, still having accidents, not eating very well - losing wt..May need to go back to vet..will try baby food..CONGRATS TO OUR SURPRISE COTD TODAY..SABRINA..From NappyCome visit me, NAPPY~Looking for the chippers ! & GB BEACH.

Hello, kittehs! Did you know? Edward Lowe invented “kitty litter” in 1947 at the request of a neighbor whose cat was leaving paw prints all over the house from the ashes she had used in its box. In 1964 he created the TidyCat brand of kitty litter.

We know your grief! It is so hard when a beloved friend makes the trip to Rainbow Bridge. It is even harder when that happens during the Holiday Season. Our love and sympathy are with you as we share your pain. The love between you and Angel Basil is so clear from your blog. One of the blessings we have found here on Cat Channel is the certainty that Rainbow Bridge is real and that our Angels live on and play on as they wait for us and continue to care for us. Sorry we haven't been on line for a while. My Mom has been SO busy with the new company and to add to things, my older brother Basil (14 year old tabby polydactal) got sick last Sunday and after lots of poking and xrays they determined that he was full of stones in is bladder and Mom knew he could not live with the surguries and recovery and food restrictions - he was a BIG BOY -- and so she let him go over the rainbow bridge. She was very sad but also knew that she had been with Basil and at the Vet and he gave the look that he hated to leave, but could not stand the pain any longer! It sure is quiet around the house and I have had to stay close to Mom and make sure she is OK. She is doing well and had a good holiday. She went to see my human brother and his family - kid, cats, dogs, horses and whatever! She seemed better when she got home. Love AshleyCome visit me, Ashley.

GUESS WHAT!??! I escaped the sunroom,not once,but TWICE! Can you believe it? The first time,mom came home from work and saw this 'strange' black and white kitty streak across the yard! Then it hit her that it looked an awful lot like ME! So she ran in the house and looked everywhere~Hehe,no Charlie! It took mom over thirty minutes to get me out from under the house. Dad had left me in the sunroom all day while they were at work,and GLORY BE~I finally learned how to open the cat door! OK,OK,so I'm a little slow learning(almost two years!!) but I did 'get it'
The second time I escaped(Wednesday before Thanksgiving)Dad was here,and just forgot I could get out now! Mom got home from work and saw Dad standing on the porch with a bag of Temptations treats,shaking it and calling me. Mom laughed at Dad and told him I would not come to that,'cuz we are smart kitties and KNOW we only get treats at bedtime! It wasn't dark,so no way was I coming to be 'put to bed'! Mom caught me in less than ten minutes this time~BUMMER!! But it felt SOOOO good to run and race around the yard with the other kitties,and smell new things and chase leaves! It was GLORIOUS!!.......But my grand escapes has a down side....now they won't even let me go out in the sunroom at all!!! Now all I have are memories! Any ideas on how I can get back out will be appreaciated! Hope you are having a fun day! MEDICAL UPDATE FROM TIGGER #82433—PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS: Thank you for checking on me. I am very sick. We went to the vet on Friday and then had to go back on Saturday for more fluids and antibiotics. I have to get a shot every day for two weeks. Mom and dad carry me to my litter box every hour or two. I went a few times today by myself. I am finally eating again but not much. I have a very bad UTI and we are waiting on my blood work still. Hopefully tomorrow I will start to feel better. I wish you a great Turkey day.

I was thinking about you today, and hoping you were doing well. I hope you are settling in and liking your new surroundings whatever they are. It is always a little stressful in the beginning, but don't worry soon you will be calling it "Home Sweet Home" and loving every inch of it!!! I hope you have someplace to go for a Happy Thanksgicing without a box in sight!!! You are loved and we are thankful to call you our friends!!
Mom got home pretty late last night from watching G-ma and Grandpa Joe getting Batized. She said it was a really moving, but she is really a bit tired today from the whole experience. I was just happy to see her and that vanilla shake she had with her!! Now that straw was some nice licking!!
Mom is going through the dental process of getting "china choppers". I might as well just put it out there. The worst it yet to come starting just after Thanksgiving. The future benefits however, will far outweigh the negatives, the main being NO MORE DENTISTS, the main selling point! She is having some unexpected dental surgery tomorrow in the AM, so all prayers are welcome!
I, as you know spend a lot of time snoozing under the my blankies. For some reason it feels even though the temps haven't been much under the mid 30's, that the dark and damp November days have a bitter cold Winter feeling to the them. I don't know if that is a good think or not. Hoping for good!!
Mom is going to my Uncle's house and visiting with little Hannah for Thanksgiving. I will miss her but I know my Mom will make me up a nice little Glad Bag of turkey to show me how thankful she is for me!! Yum.
I wish you a blissful Sunday, with lot's of fun, along with yummy food!!! I love you, and wish you sweet afternoon naps along with my usual hugs!!!
