The Friskies, the cat Oscar award
All CatChannel felines are winners!
An hour and 25 minutes of funny, cute and interesting short feline videos consisting of four categories:
1. CATness: the essence of cat behavior, capture a cat (or multiple cats) just being a cat, moments of pure cat wonder, quirkiness, and delight;
2. CATcom: capture a cat (or multiple cats) in a humorous situation;
3. CATventure: capture an indoor cat (or multiple cats) on an adventure;
4. CATchall: miscellaneous category for Entries that don't fit in to one of the other categories.
Judging criteria:
Originality & overall artistic impression (25%)
Cinematography & overall technical production (15%)
Audience appeal & entertainment quality (15%)
Portraying cat playfulness or quirks (if appropriate) (15%)
Sense that there's a story being told (15%)
Portraying cat's perspective (15%)
This year's awards took place in October but never to early to videotape kitties for the next event.

Mercury's family
OH MEOW I am sad to hear about them being left out in the heat. the heat is just as bad as the cold for killing kitties. Mommy had a little orange boy 5 weeks old that was left in a box in the heat but mommy got him in time to save him. He was adopted out to mommy's friend who was 96 at the time. The vet said that the kitty had a bad heart and would only last about 5 years. but the lady loved him anyway. he is now 3 and has gone to live with her cousin because she had to go to a home where they cannot have a cat. Well I am glad that you were there for Mercury as my mommy was there for me. Take care and I left you some cuddles and headbonks.
