I hope your Christmas was merry and the blessings and the joy of the day continues to stay. Did you get treats and a toys? Isn't Christmas a wonderful giving time? I think we should strive to keep that spirit everyday. I will try if you will.
I got a mouse and a feather wand, and I could go on and on. Mom got a neat nail clipper with a magnifying glass and a lamp for beside her chair, Christmas cookies, footies, and the most special unexpected rescue.
She fell but did not get injured except her pride. She could not get up and had to call friends out in lousy weather on a Christmas Eve. They got out of bed, came out on a wet, cold night and picked her up off of the floor. That is friendship. Without friends like that Mom would end up in a Nursing Home and well....they do not allow cats in the nursing home . We can not even think about that because my Mom is not going anywhere. Today like yesterday it continues to SNOW, SNOW, SNOW! Speaking as a strictly indoor kitty I think it is pretty. But the cars are sliding, and people are slipping so I guess it is not nice for everybody.

I want to wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a Joyous New Year. The gift of my new CC friends has made this a very special Christmas for me. I hope the same has been true for you. As I bask in the warmth of the glow of this kind, loving group I think of all the cats that do not have a furever home.
Remember the strays, the feral colonies, the shelters etc. . Whether you feed and water yourself, donate cash, or food, or time to shelter or pray for them and encourage others to help..please find it in your heart to do something for the less fortunate animals. That is a gift you do no need to wrap. If everybody does what they can things are bound to improve.

Hey, Alley Cat was telling me about the big guy in the red suit spying on us. Well He has his stories a little mixed up. It seems the guy is spying on human children not cats. So, I think we should fix Alley Cat by giving him a Christmas that he has never had. Since he has never had a gorever home how about we all give him a Christmas like he has never had. WHY? I would not do that to Mom. Why would she do this to me? What else are they hiding from me? I feel so betrayed.

Happy Thanksgiving Boo Boo! Wishing all the best to you and all your family and your sweet Mom. :)
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on my short stay on the Cat Channel. My mom found the Cat Channel while surfing for information on kitten care. You see, she and Dad adopted me and I am their first kitten. They had just lost their sweet cat Lucy to cancer in August and were so heartbroken that they decided to find another kitty. That’s where I came into the picture.
Mom was so excited about adopting me that she wanted to do everything right, and she started looking for information on kitten care. She found the Cat Channel in some of her web surfing, came and looked around and immediately enrolled me…even though I wasn’t here yet. Mom was so excited and I guess her enthusiasm came through loud and clear, because she was welcomed and made to feel a part of the Cat Channel family. When I arrived, she happily posted all about it and then the nicest surprise ever…I was voted COTD on the Monday, after I arrived on Friday. Mom being a newbie on the site, thought there was a mistake, but so many of you wrote and reassured her that it was no mistake and to just enjoy the celebration. We thank you for taking us both under your wings and teaching us about the CC.
During our stay on the CC, we have made some really good kitty and human friends. You have given Mom advice on things she needed help with and she is so grateful that you have generously shared your experience and expertise in kitty care. Some of you kitties have given me invaluable information and tips and I am so grateful, because after all, I’m new at this, too.
We want to say that we are so happy here at the CC and thank you for making us so welcome and sharing your kitty stories, life stories and hearts with us. We love you all.
