Today, we remember Jim Croce
Jim Croce (1/10/43 – 9/20/73)wrote the "Time in a Bottle" after his wife Ingrid told him she was pregnant with his son. He had finished recording the album just over a week before his death. The plane crashed about an hour after the end of the concert.
The posthumous release included hit: "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song". He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990.
The song's lyrics, dealing with immortality and the wish to have more time, came across as if he had had a premonition of his untimely death. Imagine having the power to pause or manage time.

leaving you and afternoon vote
as janet was struggling this morning before, after and before her early morning walk, after the walk and before she left for work. she made it through ana's page and got 4 entries done here and then it was time to stop and since getting home has been pounding between interruptions from the mail, natty, and lunch to get my page done. turned hot, humid, sticky, with boomers/tropical downpours and showers through tomorrow afternoon, and more on thursday and friday. our next ice cube hockey game is tomorrow with the other on saturday. sandy, ana, haley, angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

Vote Tiger #221788 for COTD on 6/30!
Tiger #221788 is quite a unique cat; she is usually grumpy on the outside, (which seems to be the only trait she picked up from her mother!) but on the inside she can be sweet and loving. Tiger’s mother was a pregnant stray, looking for a safe place to have her kittens. She soon came upon my Aunts barn, where she gave birth to four kittens, on April 25th. Tiger was kind of the outsider in her family, her siblings were grey, black and calico, her mother was also calico, and Tiger on the other hand was a stunning bright peach. When Tiger’s mother brought in dead birds and mice, Tiger’s siblings would play with it, but Tiger wouldn’t touch it, she would rather play with us. We soon fell in love with Tiger and brought her home on Father’s Day June 17th. Tiger’s bright peach coat turned to a stunning rusty brown, and is continuing to change.
Tiger is now six years old, and never ceases to amaze us with her many sudden burst of energy. Tiger enjoys basking in the sunlight, playing in the corn field, chasing butterflies, and stalking birds. Tiger comes from a long line of tough strays and farm cats, but Tiger doesn’t seem to carry any of those any of those traits! Tiger wakes me up every morning around 7:00AM so I can give her treats; Tiger only has two treats a day because of her corn allergies. And if she isn’t doing any of the above, then she is sleeping.

Weekend's here
It's 32 degrees tonight. It was windy earlier so it felt colder. 56 degrees would be considered a heat wave around now by us up north. Furfriend Cashmere from the Virgin Islands enjoys 68 degrees all year round. I am dreading below zero weather and the high heating bills this causes. We feel like polar bears all bundled up in the middle of February with five plus feet of snow outside. That will be our plight in three-months from now.

On this day in 1926, the children's book Winnie-the-Pooh, by A. A. Milne, was first published.
Tigger reminds me of a big orange tabby with lots of personality. Pooh stated, "He always seems bigger because of his bounces". He is cheerful, outgoing, competitive in a friendly way, and has complete confidence in himself. When he tries to climb a tree, he only succeeds half-way, being able to climb up but not to climb down again. Tiggers "never get lost"; he is able to find his way through the Forest even in a thick mist, despite Rabbit's attempts to lose him. His happy-go-lucky and bubbly beyond efferverscent attitude makes him interact enthusiastically with all the other characters.

Lost in a maze craze

You can grow it, shuck it, pop it, cook it and even play in it. It seems to be less about eating it and more about getting lost in it as the newest form of "agritainment". Some stumble onto the correct pathways and exit the maze in minutes; the more directionally-challenged wander the puzzles for up to several hours. Still a fun, clean, educational and unique recreation for all ages.
A couple got lost at Connors Farm's corn maze in Danvers, MA. It has a scale difficulty of 9 out of 10. They were rescued by a K-9 police 25 feet from the exit as darkness fell. All's well that ends well.

Castle is back on ABC
Sorry, I was away and am trying to catch up with the furrfriend mail. Here's my vote for you.
Meowmy saw Nathan Fillion, her favorite character on ABC's Castle, last night on Jimmy Kimmel. Turns out that he has six cats now. He got his cat trimmed like a lion poodle. She's happy that the new season is starting next week.

No we didn't do very much. Actually all the older humans went out and a few kids came over to hang out with the older ones. I think they were babysitting. Needless to say it was cozy by the fire because it was little chilly outside. Have a wonderful day.

Christmas
