Hi Sammy
MICE CREAM, I NEED SOME MICE CREAM!! Oh, oops, Sorry for shouting buddy it's just it's been so hot and muggy here I need something to cool me down. On the other hand, it's not suppose to be 90 degrees in S.E. Michigan in May. At least we haven't had any bad storms (yet) like those unfortunate people in Oklahoma. Such horrible destruction!

Us kitties have been stuck in the house cause of the heat. Well, actually, Timothy and Kieara have gotten out in the early morning before it gets hot but not me. How unfair is that!

Momma and Timothy's poppa are planning on seeing some more houses later this week. They want to find one soon. To be honest, momma is getting tired of looking and just wants the whole thing to be settled.

There are a lot of, what momma calls, "little" lakes up where she and Timothy's poppa are house-hunting. By "little" she means they're smaller than any of the Great Lakes. MOL. Maybe I'll get her to buy me a small boat and we can practice our sailing skills. What do you think?

Starting on Wednesday, momma will be taking care of our neighbor kitty, Precious. She'll be taking care of her for about a week while Precious' pawrents are out-of-town. HEY, did I say that was OK for her to do? Geeze!

How is your furless kitten doing? Say, I love her Maize N' Blue outfit she has on in one of the pictures. MOL.(Sorry buddy, I couldn't help myself). It looks like she might be thinking of helping your momma with the gardening. I hope your sisters are doing a good job of helping to baby sit.

Well, I'm going to see if Kieara wants to go out for some mice cream. Timothy already left to get his. Do you want me to send you any? Momma has already had one of her Edey fruit bars. Has your momma ever tried those. Have a pawtastic Tuesday my friend.

How are you today.Was a nice day earlier for us but did get some rain and a loud thunder storm later.Glad we got to go out when mr.sun was out.Missy went out for a few minutes and lay in the sun,she got tired so mom brought her back in to nap,she is getting weaker but still eats ok,just sleeps lots.I got to explore in all my usual places,cheked out all the tall grass,nothing there,saw more of those ole worms all over,and the groundhogs hid in thier hole.There is a tree that I scratch my claws on every day as we go by,well I stopped real still and sat down looking up in the tree,I would not move,mom said Spongie what are you doing come on,then she looked and the tree was full of baby birds just learning to fly,they were way up in top flying all over the tree.mom bird was chatering really loud at us,she was mad mom said,me,mom watched the little things ,they were so cute,mom could not tell what kind they were,I said hi little birdies come closer so I can see you,but they did not,hehe!I was sitting on one side, Oreo watching them on the other,Oreo was looking up, did not see me and came around the tree right into me,well we sure had a wacking contest,guess I wacked to hard and he ran,mom said stop it right now both of you,you scared the baby birds,and mom bird might fly down and peck you all over,well mom Oreo was looing in my tree!Mom said come on Spongie,I need to go sit down,nope not comming,she pulled,tugged on my lead and I lay flat down,I was not leaving MY birdie tree,well mom had to pick me up and carry me away from that tree,can't have any fun here,she called me a little stubborn stinker!she put me down and I ate some grass,then we sat down for a little while,I pouted at mom for a few minutes and would not look at her,she took me from my birdie tree,then I chased a butTerfly it got away,then I sneaked up and lay beside mom,she gave me a hug,and I gave her a big ole headbutt and we just sat there for awhile looking all around,mom said lets go Spongie the worms are invading our sitting place so we went in,ole worms,mom sure checked her socks,hair,clothes and me to make sure there were no worms on us.I checkd out all through the house all ok,then I lay down and pushed he condo across the floor,got mr.innertube and went to rest with mom,gave her a kitty kiss right on her nose,she said you better not bite me little man,hehe.Then it got real dark and started pourng rain and then it stormed,the thunder was really loud,I got close to mom as I could,Wicket on the other side,Baby came racing in the room and got on moms tummy,Cindell,Missy just kept napping,ole scary thunder!Now I'm on napping on the cat tree,well with one eye open staring at mom,Baby,Missy,Wicket napping,Cindell looking out the window,uh oh,its geting really stormy looking again,guess we better wake up and go hide,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

Many cat lovers are now savvy that indoor cats are safer cats, while others still think that cats deserve freedom to run in the great outdoors. When humans domesticated cats, we took on the responsibility for their health & welfare. Part of that responsibility is to keep cats safe & in good health. For those holdouts for letting cats roam free, consider these top reasons to keep cats indoors.

• To Monitor Your Cat’s Urinary Tract/Bowel Health. With an outdoor cat, pet owners are unable to monitor painful attempts to urinate or poop. The first, a red flag warning for UTI or urinary tract blockage; the second, a red flag for constipation, bowel blockage or mega-colon.

• Indoor Cats Are Safe From Predators & Dog Packs. Outdoor cats are below predators in the food chain, & they are sitting ducks for owls, raptors, coyotes, & native big cats. Dogs running in packs will consider a cat fair game; even one large dog can easily overpower & kill a cat. Remember that some dogs are also bred to attack; they are not really to blame when their instinct takes over. Even with a full set of fangs & claws, the cat rarely has a chance when caught outside.

• Indoor Cats Don't Create Neighbor Problems. Even "well-bred" cats will venture into neighbors' yards when allowed to roam free. People who don't like cats will not tolerate cats using their gardens as litter boxes, & will sometimes resort to extreme measures to keep the cats out.

• Indoor Cats Rarely Get Abscesses From Fighting. Cats are very territorial & will defend their territory to the death, if challenged by another cat. At the very least, these territorial battles often result in abscessed wounds, which can be deadly if not treated in time. There's also the chance, of course, of cats contracting FIV from deep bite wounds.

• Indoor Cats Are Safe From Human Abuse. Freely-roaming cats are easy targets for gangs of youths with time on their hands, for cat-haters, who seek cats out for target practice, & for neighbors who would think nothing of killing a cat for trespassing on their property. Although animal protection laws are beefing up, prosecution will never bring a loved cat back to life.

• Indoor Cats Can Get Plenty of Exercise. Cats do get exercise, but they can get it safely with interactive toys, climbing towers, scratching posts, & other indoor toys; all much safer than running from dogs or fighting with other cats. Remember also that there are safe compromises for the outdoor experience.

well mom had to work on her mother's day, so she only celebrated in her dreams. glad your mom had a great one. sure is weird the weather huh. we see you and the furless kitty are competing in the cutest photos, you need some cute outfits like her though. we have been in the 80' but rain every other day. mom not been on CC for she been sleeping from the OT then had this weekend off and chillin.. hope to get back to blogging soon, going to try and catch up while watching movies. so moms been working out on a regular and doing her zumba so we just been keeping mom company while she sleeps. so you have a blessed day prayers to all who need, headbonks hugs/kisses salami catnip angle marley/mom/wonderful tigger

♥ Honoring our fur mama, BABY KNIGHT'S 13286 Three Year Forever Sleep on Monday, May 20th!!!!
Baby was mama to most of us Knight Kitties. You can see the list of ALL Baby's Children on her page 13286 in her BIO section.

♥ Well, the Yard Sale is over til after the first of June, but not the work for mom and dad as they will still be going thru the storage shed next with throwing things away and saving things for the next sale!!!! The last two days of the sale never even made $40 for both days!!!!

♥ Mom and dad has been doing a bunch of weeding in the front yard in between customers during the sale and rain. Today, mom went in the back yard and scooped out the big 3X5 (used to be 5X5) sand`litter box then she got her new weedeater assembled, as she had to take the other one back to Wal*Mart then went to Lowes and got one there instead. She got the front yard weedeated then she mowed the front yard.

♥ Mom did open dad's bedroom window this morning so we could be out in the cattery. It was nice getting the fresh air.

How are you today.Was a nice day for us,but raining now.Good thing mom got me out earlier.Did my usual exploring,nothing under the mousey bushes except those ugly worms crawling all over.I like to get next to the tall grass,then jump way over in it and start digging,grass,dirt goes all over,mom never sees anything there,guess I just like doing that,hehe!Groundhogs saw us comming and off they went in all directions,mom laughs at how fast they run,I just waved my paw at them as they streaked by us.We go by thier hole to my tall grass and Oreo still will not get close there,the mom groundhog must have chased him or something.I ate grass,gotta have my grass to make strong kitty muscles,hehe.Made all my rounds in the yard,then mom had to sit for awhile,I lay beside her,there is little white blooms on one of the bushes over where we sit and the blooms were falling all over us,they were all in my fur.Then mom said time to go in,when she gets up and gathers up her cushions and ole cane I know I have to go in,so in we came,I shook my fur and all those blossoms flew all over the floor,so here comes ole mr.broom out of the close and I got out of his way,I do not like that ole broom at all!Then I heard mom muttering,she had pulled off her shoe and there was one of those worms crawling on her sock,well she sure was moving to get it off and threw it back out in the yard,hehe,she sure had a funny look on her face,I heard her say ole worms.Made my rounds through the house all ok,ate my food,then went to my toy rug in front of the door and bathed myself to get all those ole blooms off me,mom came to make sure none of those worms had stuck to my fur,ole worms.Then I took mr.innertube and went to rest with mom for a litle while,I snuggle right by her shoulder and lay my head on her arm,she gave me a kiss,me Wicket ate our treats and then I napped.Now I'm laying on the cat tree watching the rain,Baby looking out the widnow,Wicket is hid in the kitty cube,its dark out and he thinks its going to thunder,Missy,Cindell napping.Did you all get to go out today,hope you did not have any of the storms there.Thas so sweet that furless kitten is giving you all treats and trying to pet you on the head,thats great that you all are getting used to her,she is such a cutie!Sammy hop on your magic carpet and zip on over and we can go bug hunting and exploring outside,that will be fun,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

The outside kitties are doing fine. Mom spends more time with them than she does with us! Just kidding. But it does seem like that sometimes. After they are finished eating, Callie and I are always waiting to run into the garage to see what went on in there. Mom thinks we will be fine when we finally do meet face to face!

How are you today.A gloomy dreary day here,rained this morning,then stopped but still gloomy out there,more rain on the way.Got to go out to explore,grass was wet but I went right on.Checked out mousey bushes,went in the tall grass,nothing there,not even a bug,ate grass,same some of those worms climbing up the fench post,ole worms.Did not see the groundhogs,they must have been behind the building playing,you can hear them in the grass out there. Walked more,then mom sat down to rest and let me explore a little more,she lets my lead out long enough for me to look around.Then I watchd Spotty,Oreo,and outside kittys wander around,they sure do not come close to me,wonder why,hehe!Then the wind started blowing the rain drops out of the trees and was hitting me on the head,mom said time to go,I puled her in this time,did not want my fur all wet,those rain drops hurt my little head,hehe!Came in washed off my paws,made rounds through the house,toys,all ok,ate my food,then went sat on my toy rug to look out the door,carried mr.innertube for a few minutes.Mom said Spongie wnat to go down in yor apartment,nope to dark down there and the ole basement,furnace monster is there,so I went to rest with mom,ate my treats on the bed and snuggled up to mom to nap a little while,Wicket was on the other end eating his treats.Its gotten really dark out,looks like we might get a storm,sure hope not,ole thunder scares us all,so now I'm napping on the cat tree.Wicket is napping beside mom,Baby on the other side napping,Missy on her pad,Cindell on the counter so everyone is napping now.Love the new picture of precious furless kitten,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

I plead the 5th!!!
Just because the catnip plant is TOTALLY gone,and uprooted,does NOT mean it was ME!!! I was sitting quietly,by the side of the garden,trying to figure out the scene of the crime myself! OK,so I had a touch of dirt by my mouth. I was.....sniffing...yeah,that's it.
Well,I had 4 blissful hours to myself today Sammy.The dog was gone. Getting a pooch haircut. Thank goodness. Now I ca see her beady little dog eyes,and I KNOW when she is looking longingly at my food bowl. Dumb mutt. All good things come to an end,and Gma went and brought the thing home. I voted for leaving her there. I';m sure even the groomer wouldn't want the little slobbery thing.
IDK Sammy,I think Mallow's shirts and idea was hysterical! I know,you have sisters and the such to make you never live it down,but it was cracking me up watching everyone try to do the headless chicken dance! Lets go teach it to the furless kitten. She should be real good at that flapping stuff :)

This morning my Mom was with the outside kitties for over an hour. I was getting pretty tired of waiting! Mom sat on the floor again, to get to eye level with the outside cats, and Whitey really likes this. Whitey kept rubbing her face all over Mom & purring. Mom’s clothes were covered in fur! Callie and I were quick to check it out and sniff to see whom she had been with. MOL!
Orangie was reluctant at first, but then would sneak behind Mom, sniff her and then go running away. Mom didn’t move and Orangie kept coming back like it was a game. Sniff and Run! Afterwards the kitties ate, not really noticing any scents from Callie and me. (I really think I need to spray that cat carrier. MOL!) Mom says this was a good morning. :)

Furless kitten is surely growing! Beautiful pics! Yeah, mom and dad have been out of town since Tuesday but they're supposed to return home tonight. The secretary has been using the phone in place of her computer as she didn't wanna pay $25/day for internet. Due to mom's frugal ways, we have not been on the CC much this week. Hope that the weather has warmed up--looks like you might have some bad storms this weekend? Currently, it's dry at the cathouse but it's been pouring where mom and dad are. Mom had planned on loading up the truck while dad was in class but the truck is parked way down one hill and way up another steep hill and it's raining cats and dogs...MOL..so mom hasn't gotten very far with the packing. Anyway, hope all is well with your family...should come over and get you out of the house for a bit....I'm ready to blast off, are you?

So, you all behaved on Mother's Day? You're pulling my leg! MOL!

We've had some gorgeous weather this week, in the low 70's with a slight breeze, and even some rain. Mom is loving it! She's been doing a little puttering in the yard, and is planning some major trimming this weekend if it doesn't rain. But if it DOES rain then she's going to fertilize the grass. So it looks like a win-win weekend! Who can ask for more!

It’s Mike the Headless Chicken Day!

Yes, you heard me right! Let’s all head off to Fruita, Colorado for the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival

This is absolutely for real! The story starts on September 10, 1945 when Fruita, Colorado, farmer Lloyd Olsen chose a chicken for his evening meal. Mr. Olsen cut off the bird’s head, but Mike just shook it off and continued trying to peck for food. He lived for 18 months and went on a national tour as “The Headless Wonder Chicken”. I know we can all relate to Mike’s example that you can live a normal life, even after you have lost your mind.

Can this event possibly be missed? There’s a 5k Run, Bike Poker Ride, Disc Golf Tournament, and eating contests, along with live music and food. I’m gonna buy a Mike the Headless Chicken T-Shirt and wear it, just to bug my brother! -- Mallow

I’ll never be sure if it was wisdom or folly that struck that day, but I would think a little of both. We had been happily living with one cat for a couple of years, a fairly large black-&-white English Shorthair named Smedley. It was time for his annual exam & shots, so off we went to our local veterinarian’s office, puss in hand, or actually wrapped like up like an Egyptian mummy to save us from his dreaded claws.

“Ah!” Doc Pete said, with a twinkle in his eyes. “I’m glad you dropped in. I have a kitten out back that needs a home & I thought of you!”

Before I could stop him, his assistant brought out the tiniest marmalade tabby, weighing just over a pound, with a cast on his left front leg. He put him in my arms, looked up at me & said, “So what do you think?”

They say a sucker is born every minute & that was my minute. We took one look at the poor little thing & then at each other & we were done for. We found out that someone had broken his leg & tried to drown him in the nearest canal. A Good Samaritan had rescued him & brought him to the vet’s office.

“How will they get along?” I asked. “How do we go about introducing them to each other?”
“Oh, that’s no problem,” he said. “You just put him in a carrier, take him home, leave the carrier open & let Smedley think he is rescuing the kitten.”

Well, it sounded good. As per instruction, once we got home, we left the kitten in the carrier in the middle of the room. Then we sat back to watch. Smedley circled the box & growled deeper than I had ever heard him before. The kitten mewed plaintively while sticking a paw out of the holes in the side of the carrier. After about an hour, we decided to open the top of the carrier a little wider. Smedley walked up to the top, looked inside & was rewarded by a lightning strike from a small orange paw.

That was the last we saw of him that evening. I was convinced that the next morning would find us back at the vet’s office returning the little tyke. However, the next morning, we were in for a surprise. As I got up to put on the coffee, I saw the two of them curled up together on the sofa as if they were one cat with two smiling faces. From then on, Smedley watched over the little one as if he had given birth to him, and they went everywhere together.

The temperature was high 63 & low was 53 this morning, now it's 60 with humidity 69% & wind is 9 MPH WSW. Friday's suppose to be Showers & High 66.

♥ WOW!!!! What a MONTH of Adoptiversaries for our family, but luckily, That's All Folks!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ I have been making sure I get lots of mom time everyday. I just love my mom so much!!!! I have been also sleeping by her feet the last week or so at bedtime which makes her real happy!!!!

♥ Mom went to PetSmart this morning to buy [2] 16 lb bags of Friskies Indoor; [3] 16 lb bags of Friskies Surfin Turfin; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Hairball; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Vibrant & Maturity & [1] 40 lb box of ExQuisiCat Litter. She got [2] FREE toys, too!!!!

♥ Well, mom is upset as my Feline Acne is coming back. She washes my face every morning after I eat my Fancy Feast can food and washes my food dishes alsmost every night before bed time.

♥ UPDATE: SASSEE 10605 seems to be doing better finally with not seemingly in so much pain like she had been due to her arthritis. Mom said the Dasuquin must be finally taking affect.

♥ UPDATE: SYLVESTER 11567 is no longer limping the last couple days. He will, however, will need to see Dr. Liz in a couple months for bloodwork to see how he is doing since his diagnosis of Early Kidney Failure in February.

♥ Mom and dad are set up for another yard sale starting Friday morning and ends on Saturday evening at 5:00pm so we may not get to visit everyone, but we will try!!!! Mom also changed my profile photo today.

How are you today.Has been cloudy today and a little cooler here,so I got to explore more since the hot sun was not out.Missy did not want to go out,she stayed in to nap.Checked out my mousey bushes,the tall grass,I love sticking my head in that grass and looking around,saw a bug and tried to dig it out but it got away,then I ate some grass,and mom said watch out,here comes a groundhog,it was running fast around the buiding getting to its hole,we must have scared them,they sure can run fast!I shook my paw at him and keep on eating grass,they better not get in my grass hehe!Saw one of the outside kittys sleeping in the grass,I wanted to go say hi but mom said I don't think she wants a wack on the head Spongie.On we went,you cannot even walk through the grass for all those ugly worms all over,sure be glad when they are gone,ole ugly worms.Then we had to sit down for awhile mom got tired,I lay in the grass and looked around,Oreo lay far away from me today,hehe,Then I lay beside mom and played with a stick,then one of those ole worms was crawling right at me,I sure got up fast.Then mom said time to go in,I did not want to go so I lay down and when mom tried to get me up I slipped out of part of my harness,mom said Spongie now look what you did,you little stinker,she finaly got it back on me,I was hissing,growling really loud at mom,she said you better stop that before I wack your little furry behind for you,ole harness,ole cane looked at me and I got up and came in.Ate my food,then went and got in the open window and pouted awhile.Mom went to rest and I got mr.innertube and went to lay with her,she said well I see you are not pouting at me anymore,I gave her a big ole kitty kiss on her head,she gave me a big ole hug,then I ate my treats,napped beside mom for awhile.Moms ole tummy is still not all better yet,still on jello,soup,I said mom have some of my treats,that will help,hehe!Now I'm sitting in the window in the fresh air eating more treats,gotta have my treats so I can stay big strong to go out exploring!Wicket,Cindell,Missy naping,Baby looking out the window at a pretty red bird sitting in a bush.Mom said thanks for thinking of her,that sure helps.Did you get to go outside today,hope the weather is better for you all there.Did mom get all her garden planted,does she plant a big garden,mom said there was nothing no better that fresh home grown veggies,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

What’s mew with you? I have WONDERFUL mews!!!! Dr. William called - my T4 by equilibrium dialysis thyroid test was NEGATIVE!!!! Thankfully that means I do not have hyperthyroidism.

I have decided that I really do not like to eat the Prescription Diet k/d canned food. I will eat the k/d dry but not the canned food. So Mommy has been busy researching other canned foods with low protein (less than 10%) for me. The crazy woman is also studying our food labels. Do I read the labels on all that junk SHE eats???

Tonight is my last dose of that nasty Clavamox for the UTI. After I have been off it for four days, Mommy will take my urine sample to Dr. William to be rechecked. Hopefully the UTI will be all gone.

Mommy & Nana have a meeting scheduled with Dr. William @ 9 a.m. this Caturday as they have a growing list of questions & concerns. Poor Doc! You would think they love me or something!!!

The saga of our outside kitties continues… My Mom lifted the top half of the cat carrier onto several old newspaper crates and set it beside the bottom half of the carrier. Whitey & Orangie were curious this morning when they saw it, but not afraid. They both sniffed around it and then went back to the business of eating. Mom plans to slowly slide the top half of the carrier onto the bottom half. This was a great idea from our dear furiend Mischief!

P.S. You know, the outside kitties didn't seem to react to our scent on the carrier. I think they were too busy wondering what the top half of the carrier was doing raised up on boxes. My Mom is going to let my sis and I check it out again today. I don't think I'll be able to sneak a quick spray, because Mom will be watching! MOL!

YIKES is right!
101 degrees! I wouldn't want to go out in that, either. We had some nice warm days, but nothing like THAT! We've had a lot of jumping around, too. Sounds like your Mom has been busy out there, that's great that she got the planting finished. Now the weeding comes, yuck!

Our Mom was by herself pretty much on Mothers Day, too. Well, with US, anyway. She likes it that way, too, it was nice and peaceful. Glad you liked the "Lessons from Mom." -- Mallow

Cats are blessed with a keen sense of smell. So while humans can smell broiled lobster, a cat can smell something like “broiled Maine lobster shipped in brine.” Despite their incredible sensitivity to smell, cats aren’t too concerned about taste. Of all their senses, taste is probably the least important to cats. Humans seek culinary perfection, but cats are mainly interested in whether the stuff they’re about to eat is nutritious or dangerous.

Cats tend to be more picky than dogs. One reason for this is that they’re carnivores, and spoiled meat is best left behind for scavengers. Another reason is that they’re, well, cats, and cats are generally more particular about life than dogs. Because they care more about what they put into their mouths, it’s tougher to slip them day-old food or extras like medicine.

Cats do seem to have one blind spot when it comes to taste: They have a very limited ability to identify sweets. While most animals prefer food with sucrose in it, cats don’t seem to notice it. In fact, researchers found that cats could not tell the difference between sugar water and plain water, even when the sugar level was so high that it was potentially dangerous.

Although flavor isn’t the most important thing to cats, food certainly is. It gives them a sense of comfort and well-being even as it satisfies their appetites. And it can be a powerful tool for communication as well. If you give a pet food he really likes, you’ll get his attention in a hurry.

Cats are creatures of habit, which means they’re most comfortable when they’re in familiar surroundings, with familiar people and familiar tastes. Just because people want to try different foods all the time doesn’t mean cats do too.

It’s fine to change foods periodically. Cats may get bored with the same food after a few months and will crave a new flavor. Let them have it. But make the change slowly by mixing some of the new food in with the old food for a few days. This will prevent diarrhea or other digestive problems that may occur when pets suddenly start eating something new.

THE ABILITY TO TASTE: The reason dogs and cats snack out of the trash can with the same gusto that they have for cleaning out their food bowls is that the food we throw out often has appealing flavor & aromas. There’s a significant difference in the number of tastebuds between pets & people. Here’s the comparison:

No problem long time, no meow. We meow now! It's nice to hear that your Mom got her planting done. I hope everything grows well. We had a nice Mother's Day and it's good to hear you gave your Mom the day off. I can't hardly believe it got up to that high a temperature for you today! In NB? That's incredible! We had a high today of only 98*, so you beat us. But a few days ago we had 103* and we have 102* predicted for tomorrow. We just by-passed spring, too. You sound like you're in good health and good spirits and I'm happy for that. I'm doing just fine. Well, it's late, so I'm leaving you with a vote and wishes for a blessed night and sweet dreams.

mom had a wonderful Mother's Day she and dad went to their grand daughters collage graduation then they went out ot dinner with both their son and daughter's families...
today started out raw and chilly in the upper 50's mom even had her light winter coat on then it rained on and off..now the sun came out and it's up to 66° ...figures now that she's in for the night...
after lunch mom went to BJ's and as usual spent too much money..
when she got home she switched litter boxes with our help of course and put the LitterMaid in the computer room and the regular box in the junk room which dad has his VA monitoring machine in so now he has more room since they added a scale...now mom is beat...

Oh my gosh!
What is WITH these humans!!! Gma finished planting the garden tonight. As she predicted,I managed to eat an entire catnip plant,and was headed for the second one when I was shoo'd away. pawty poopers. I was just in the middle of getting my Stevie groove on! Hmmm...we can run between teh rows in your garden and switch all the plant signs. Its thrills the moms when they have no clue what is growing where...swear! Would I lie to you Sammy??? OK...more than once?
Lucky you showed up tonight-its pizza pawty day!! i was seriously thinking of having the Coast Guard deliver a few pawty sized pizza's to the Pinto. Want to go halvsies with me??? I want Slim Jim's on my half!!!

How are you today.77 here for us right now,sure had to find some shade to sit in out today.Me,Missy,mom went out for a few minutes,Missy lay in the shade for a few minutes then she wantd to come back in,she did not like that hot air.I got to explore in the shady places,mom said to hot to get out in the open sun,so I explored under mousey bushes,Oreo was hid under there and we got into a wacking contest,mom said boys stop that,ahhh mom he is under my mousey bush,then Oreo wacked me twice right on my little head,and ran fast as he could!Mom laughed at the look on my face,I did not think that was so funny mom,he hurt my furry head,hehe!I wil get him when he is not looking!There are ugly looking fuzzy worms crawling all over the yard and the side of the house,they hatched out of huge cocoons in the wild cherry trees,they were getting on mom and crawling on her clothes,she sure was knocking those things off,I will not even look at those ugly worms,mom said they must have a funny smell or something,the outside kittys will not even get around them,mom said she would be glad when they are gone,don't know if they turn into a moth or what.Then it got to hot and we had to come in,mom got to hot,she is still pretty queasy with her tummy and cannot eat much at all yet, mostly just jello for now. We came in no running through the house,to hot for that today,I did not even go rest with mom,I stayed in the open windows,then all of a sudden I went racing through the house jumping way up in the air,a huge fly had gotten in the house,I sure was running after him,mom was getting outta my way,she said hurry Spongie get that ole fly,well I got him and chomped him down,he was tastey,hehe!Now I'm laying on the cool wood floor with the breeze blowing on me outta the windows,Baby,Wicket watching those ole ugly worms crawl on the outside window seal,Missy,Cindell napping,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

A Word With Whiskers – May 15
CAT FUNNIES :) - Volume 1

A Cat Heaven -

One day a cat dies of natural causes and goes to Heaven. There he meets the Lord himself. The Lord says to the cat, "You lived a good life and if there is any way I can make your stay in Heaven more comfortable, please let Me know."

The cat thinks for a moment and says, "Lord, all my life I have lived with a poor family and had to sleep on a hard wooden floor." The Lord stops the cat and says, "Say no more," and a wonderful fluffy pillow appears.

A few days later six mice are killed in a tragic farming accident and go to Heaven. Again the Lord is there to greet them with the same offer. The mice answer, "All of our lives we have been chased. We have had to run from cats, dogs, and even women with brooms. Running, running, running; we're tired of running. Do you think we could have roller skates so we don't have to run anymore?" The Lord says, "Say no more," and fits each mouse with beautiful new roller skates.

About a week later the Lord stops by to see the cat and finds him in a deep sleep on the pillow. The Lord gently wakes the cat and asks him, "How are things since you arrived?"

The cat stretches and yawns and replies, "It is wonderful here. Better than I could have ever expected. And those Meals on Wheels you've been sending by are theeeeeeee best!!!"

The Cat Scan –

A man runs into the vet's office carrying his dog, screaming for help. The vet rushes him back to an examination room and has him put his dog down on the examination table. The vet examines the still, limp body and after a few moments, tells the man that his dog, regrettably, is dead. The man, clearly agitated and not willing to accept this, demands a second opinion.

The vet goes into the back room and comes out with a cat and puts the cat down next to the dog's body. The cat sniffs the body, walks from head to tail, poking and sniffing the dog's body and finally looks at the vet and meows.

The vet looks at the man and says, "I'm sorry, but the cat thinks that your dog is dead, too."

The man, finally resigned to the diagnosis, thanks the vet and asks how much he owes. The vet answers, "$350."

"$350 to tell me my dog is dead?!" exclaims the man.

"Well," the vet replies, "I would only have charged you $50 for my initial diagnosis. The additional $300 was for the cat scan."

How are you today.Cold this morning but has warmed up a lot.Mom is feeling a little better today,but still weak.We have been taking good care of her.She did get to take me outside to sit for a few minutes today,did not get to stay long but I got to be out.Explored a little under he bushes,in the tall grasss ate some grass,I sure have missed getting to eat my grass the last 2 days,then lay in mr.sun for a few minutes.Then mom said we better go in Spongie,so I came right in with mom,then I took a race through the house,running,playing with all the toys,racing from room to room,mom just watched me and smiled,I sure was having fun,I have been really quiet and good for a couple days and been taking care of mom so I sure had to run and play awhile,Gang just kept right on napping while I was making all that noise.Then I got tired and went to lay down with mom,I took mr.innertube in to see mom,mom said I sure was a great nurse,we seem to all know when mom is not feeling good,we are all good and stay with mom.Mom said I had given her so many kitty kisses she looked like a kitty,hehe.Now I'm laying on my toy rug in the sun napping,well I was napping,the ole grass eating monster is out there making lots of racket,a kitty can't get any rest around here,hehe!Wicket bathing himself,Baby,Missy,Cindell all napping,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

I just had to share the story of "Ugly", and the need for love and compassion for everyone. Thank you so much for your furiendship and support!

My Mom still hasn’t worked up the nerve to put the top back on the cat carrier. Orangie is getting so brave with letting Mom pet him and scratch behind his ears. Mom doesn’t want any setbacks just yet. We got a smart tip from our furiend, Sir Malachi, to toss a couple of catnip toys into the carrier. It really got Orangie’s attention. He even batted the catnip stuffed mouse around a couple of times! They both eat their food while standing in the carrier without a problem. This is amazing progress.

How are you today.Sorry we did not get to come by yesterday,mom has a terrible stomach virus or something and is not feeling good at all,she can only keep clear liquids,jello down on her tummy right now,she sure has had a couple bad days,but we are all taking good care of her,and staying right with her,I will not leave her side at all,I have not got to go out in a couple days now,but thats ok,I can tell that mom does not feel good.So nothing going on here.Hope mom had a good Mothers Day,we will try to be back soon to normal blogging as soon as mom is feeling better,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

ITALIAN CAT BRINGS GIFTS TO HIS LATE MASTER'S TOMB –

ROME - The story of a cat who visits his master's tomb and brings him little presents on an almost daily basis a year after the man's death has moved the inhabitants of a village in central Italy.

"He brings little twigs, leaves, toothpicks, plastic cups. A bit of everything really," Renzo Iozzelli's widow Ada told AFP from Montagnana, a mountain village near Florence.

"Sometimes he comes with me and sometimes he goes on his own. The whole town knows about him now!"

Toldo the cat -- a grey-and-white three-year-old tomcat -- followed Iozzelli's funeral procession last year and has continued going to the cemetery ever since, a habit usually ascribed to dogs.

"He loved my husband. It was something else! Now it's just me, my daughter and my son-in-law and he's very affectionate with us too," she said.

Ada said the journey to and from the cemetery each day had tired Toldo out in the cold winter weather.

"He's not going out so much these days. He's caught a bit of bronchitis so he's sleeping next to me."

BRAZIL INMATES TRAIN CAT FOR PRISON BREAK –

BRASILIA - A cat trained by prisoners to deliver cell phones and tools to dig tunnels was caught at a jail in northeastern Brazil after sneaking in with forbidden items strapped to its body.

"An agent saw the cat and went to look at it closely because something about it seemed wrong," Marcelo Avelino, the head of the prison guards' union, told the O Globo newspaper.

The agent found a bag tied to the animal's body filled with saw blades and drill parts for concrete drilling and digging tunnels, along with a cell phone complete with battery and charger, Avelino added.

The cat had often been seen coming in and out of the Alagoas jail.

Prison officer Luiz de Oliveira Souza told the G1 news website that prisoners had raised the cat and that relatives would often take it home after a prison visit.

"We were very surprised by this new tactic of prisoners, who trained the animal so that it returned to the prison and even managed to carry materials,” the agent added.

EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 77 & low was 40 this morning, now it's 77 with humidity 31% & wind is 14 MPH WSW. Monday's suppose to be Showers & High 66.

♥ Well, mom told Callie 239447 that she met her match!!!! Saturday morning mom just happened to look over at the end of the couch to see Sassee 10605 sitting on it, which mom thought was awfully strange cuz she never gets on that end table then she seen Callie hunkered down under the top shelf of the end table. Mom told Sassee to leave her alone then mom had to pry Callie out from under that shelf part!!!! That's the first time Callie's been scared. Mom told Callie not to mess with Sassee especially when Sassee's in pain!!!! Sassee is the ALPHA girl inside!!!! No one was hurt!!!!

♥ Mom opened dad's window after she finished her kitty chores so we could go out in the cattery. Funny thing is though, she had it boarded up with plywood as it's suppose to rain today and she didn't want everything getting wet. At least we got the fresh air as well as relaxing out there!!!!

♥ Mom and dad didn't do much xcept relaxed and watched a couple movies on tv then some recorded shows on the DVR.

♥ Mom took the first cuttings of two roses today from her rose bushes. One is of her Angel Face which has a beautiful fragrance and the other is Jacobs Coat.
