My Cat Profile
About Me
Active within 8 Days
Hi! My name is Tina
I am an American Shorthair from Ellwood City,, PA
Nicknames: Tina Bell, Queen La Tina, Tina Gateway,
Age: 13 years old
Gender: F
Coat: short haired
Education: Tina was named after the 2001 CBS survivor winner when she drug herself to our doorstep a very wounded stray. Thanks to God and Dr. Brown she has more than survived she has thrived to become the boss of our household.
My favorite tricks and treats are: She sits pretty, gives kisses, comes when she is called and goes where ever you click your fingers. and Slightly cooked tender meat
Where I hang out: Where ever the sun is shining or the warmest place she can find.
My favorite grubs: Friskies Salmon dinner.
My pet peeves: She only has two teeth and we feed her soft food which can not be left out. Tina gets very annoyed if we don't jump up and get food in her dish several times a day. She deserves to be spoiled.
What I love about my owners: She try's not to spoil me because of my many handicaps, however she still does. And yet I can count on her unconditional love for me. She knows that I have a domineering personality just like her. So we rule together and take turns being the boss.
My cat hobbies: Following me around and watching every thing that I do. She only has one eye and it is always on me.
Pet motto: I am happy and thankful to be alive.

How We Met
She drug herself to our doorstep in March 2001 a very wounded, stray cat. We don't know what happened to her but we are thankfully blessed that we took her into our lives. She mended with each passing day and had a litter of kittens in May of 2001. We kept Magellan. Those weeks of kitten hook gave us a lot of laughter and hope. Tina was a great mom. She was spayed as soon as possible and Magellan was neutered of course. No more kittens.

350 Love being Friends with Tigger Tigger we love being your friend. Thank you for the prayers. Our cat colony and our pet cats that live among them appreciate all the prayers. We are down to a small number of feral/stray cats but I'm sure there is at least one litter of kittens. This work needs many helpers and as you know we graciously accept donations. Our supporters are collecting aluminum that we take in to recycle and this is very helpful. However, I am short handed with the physical helpers right now. Izy's mom, Beverly died in April. And Sandy's mom is hospitalized and keeping her busy. Sandy also got spooked by the box trapping experience and so I'm just waiting to have some help so that we can complete this process and finally have a clean and healthy cat colony. And the never ending education of the ignorant is on going. "Dear Heavenly Father, be with all of the kitties that are in need of your help. In the Psamls you promise to feed the young lion that cries. And we ask that you bless all of us who go the extra mile to help these cats. Amen"Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

348 Well the box trapping of the feral females have come to an end because my friend who does the trapping experienced a thrashing cat who cut her face and paws and was bleeding once in the cage and she let her out and she became so upset that she won't even allow us to do any box trapping now. Well, I understand because that thrashing of a feral cat in a box trap is the reason why I am doing this cat rescue today. I will hope to shorten the story and get to the point. The campground brought a trapper into camp to trap all of the cats out and that is when I had the most unhappy experience of observing a feral trapped in what is considered a human box trap. The poor cat was thrashing and so frightened yet I just knew I wasn't going to open the trap because I didn't have a clue then how and I felt that the poor cat would attack me. Well that experience is what brought me in contact with some of the campers that were feeding the cats and knew they were missing and asked me if I knew anything about them since I was here more often. Sadly I did tell them all what I knew and what I saw and that I did call the animal rescue and veterinarians in the area and finally I called our manager who got the trapper to remove the trapped cat, however that cat died on the way out the gate while on the back of the truck above the bumper. So this terrible experience banded us together and since I had taken in Tina, a stray from camp in 2001 and socialized and found homes for a litter of four kittens put we kept Magellan, I began to search for help to get these cats spay/neutered and that help came with OSN (Operations Spay Neuter) and Frankies Friends Cat Rescue and then came our first rescue. Prisilla and her 5 kittens (who are all doing great) yet today. And then Izy and her 8 kittens (the kittens were box trapped by Sandy but I talked Izy girl into a nice comfy cage) Savanaha was box trapped by Sandy last summer without any trauma. So now I have two appointments for two feral females to be spay/neutered but males can go too since you can not tell what will become trapped and taken to appointments. And I realize that we just might need to find someone to help us do this type of trapping. I always did perfer to tame the cats to the point that they would just be able to be put in a cat carrier and taken to the appointment. But I am very disappointed that we can not continue our plans just because we have become too soft fragile women that can't take it. I could take this but not once they are cutting their noses and feet. We got too soft and need to be encouraged and helped through this appointment.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

346 Getting to know Tigger Tigger you have the most wonderful mommy. She has a great big heart and is very outgoing and caring for others. She was very helpful with us and taking care of our new rescue. Mr. Vinnie. And he is doing extremely well. We were able to educate more cat caregivers about the importance of not feeding out of cans that may have sharp edges and in turn your mom made sure we got the great experience of learning that the pampered chef can opener opens a can and does not leave rough edges that may cut a cats face or tongue (this may have happened to Vinnie). Also his eye was treated and he was checked for feline luk etc and given the shot along with rabies shot and neutered on April 6th. I gave him antibiotics twice a day for 10 days and kept him in my motor home for two nights after surgery but boy was he happy to get back outside in the sunshine even though he enjoyed all the attentions and comforts and he was a perfect house guest. He has an outdoor patio which he feels at home with and many neighbors to join in with his care. I will take a few days break from him now and get ready to try and rescue two females to be spayed on April 26th and we know not for sure which of our handful of cats we will actually catch but we hope they are females. Also my friend Isabella came back to camp and so she will be taking care of the four cats at her patio and I will only have to care for my Magellan this weekend. I will rest up because starting next week it will be time to try and trap the females. Prayers are always welcome and given. Happy spring to all.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

339 Camping with Cats Well we started out in 1989 with a big fuzzy husky - collie - golden retriever mix named Rusty and he was 95 pounds of energy. We took him from the farm life that he loved and from running with the horses on trail rides every day to camping in camp grounds and being on a leash. He did great to our surprise really. It was difficult sometimes when the weather wasn't as nice as we would have liked because at that time we pulled a very small high low only about 8 feet by 10 feet and he just fit on the floor. But we stayed out for 10 months. In 1993 we started to travel with Shelby who was our Golden Retriever. We pulled a bigger camper then for the two dogs each had a floor space and we were always stepping over them. We did that for about 5 years. Then after Rusty passed away it was just Shelby for 5 years and then came Tina and Magellan. Well we had the little motor home then (Magellan was born in it) and all three went with us for 5 years until Shelby died. The two cats were very easy to travel with and I wrote and article about it. Camping with cats which was published by Animal Wellness. I did try to submit query's for articles to Cat Fancy but I never hear back from them. This year was a first for traveling with just Magellan but mainly he travels well he just doesn't like to be made to stay inside and when you travel to new places the cat must stay in. In has become his pet stroller and it is working out excellent. He gets to go along with all his doggy friends for nice long save walks. I'm getting my exercise but he really isn't, however he is not overweight and he still goes out hunting for a little while when he can and he plays and stays very active all day long. So it's all good.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Snow Birds and Campers Happy New Year - This is the first month (Nisan?Abib) of the 36th year of the 120th jubilee. According to the new moon which marks the sabbath rest day each month. Magellan is so happy to be back at camp. Camp living is not expensive we can't afford a regular home that is expensive. This way we have to move somewhere else in the winter. We use to go to Florida in the early 90's than just before Tina came along we decided that Myrtle Beach was better so we went there for awhile. It was all good and still better than paying for a home and all but... then it got too expensive to travel too far with gas being what it has become. And we have not been able to go south into the warm sunshine since 2006. So we just look forward to coming to camp home for the warmer months of the year and staying inside in a warm place for the cold months. Being a snow bird is very healthy though. The salt air is great and the sunshine and outdoors exercise really good for the old bones. The drive can get stressful and long but all is good and I miss being a snow bird.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Hi Tina We have a wet, dreary day today. It is 50* and raining. Been raining all day and is supposed to rain all night and all week. Yesterday we had 61* and sunny skies, but it was windy. We got to go outside in the yard and enjoy the sunny day and mom cleaned up a little bit in the yard. I hope we will not get anymore snow though. It is almost Spring and Baseball will soon start. But we remember one Opening Day there was a blizzard and they had to postpone the game. Mom is going crazy in the house. She is bored. She was used to working 20+ years and now she is out of a job and going crazy trying to find to find things to do. She is trying to find a job so she can work at home on her computer, but can't find anything like that yet. If mom had lots of money she could go somewhere, but we are not rich and mom doesn't have a lot of money in the bank, so she can't travel very much. In the Spring mom can go outside and tend to her garden, plant flowers, and stuff and ride her bike, but right now...not a lot can be done. Hope you are enjoying your day! 337 Spring is near I have no idea what it is like to be bored. I am always into something even in the winter stuck inside. But.... I am so looking forward to spring and gardening. I am even looking forward to racking off the leaves before I get started. Last night it snowed 4 inches and it was beautiful but after a sunny 40 degree day it has all melted. I believe spring is on its way. It is so great to visit the cotd and make new friends. Spring is getting close and all the outdoor kitties will be happy to be warm. For all those not spay/neutered they will be busy making kittens. Please educate all on how to care for stray kittens and be very careful placing them in homes. Good luck and God bless all who care for all the kitties.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Hi Tina & Fursibs Mom is trying to figure things to do on her time off. She is sooo bored with herself. Only so much time can be spent online or using her kindle...mom paces more then anything. Today is "MacGyver" day on Cloo, so she will turn the TV on shortly and catch him. Goodness gracious...mom has worked for over 20 years, and now to have all this time off is boring. Mom said if it was warm out, she could probably go and do something, like buy tickets to an up and coming game at the Joe...MOL...too cold to catch the bus to the Joe. There are a lot of places mom wants to go, but it is too cold right now...they should have shut the place down in the Summer, then mom would be in Heaven...MOL!!! It is just 30* today, but the sun is shining brightly. No wind either. It is supposed to warm up to the mid to upper 40's later in the week. I caught my sister, Kali sleeping in my bed, can you believe that? I pawsmacked her and hissed at her and she got out and went running...hey, she has her own bed to sleep in, mom got that one for me. Take care and have a pawsome evening. Purrs~~~Kapt. 336 Greenies Tina passed away August 9th 2012 and we all miss her dearly, Magellan is her son and he is going to be 12 soon. We are spoiling him more than ever. Treats every time we go to the store. A friend gave him a tall indoor cat tree and I bought him a pet stroller which should arrive next week. I have been borrowing a stroller for the two months that we had to stay inside due to the location more than the weather. Yes it was a cold winter this year. Magellan loves to be outside. The stroller was helpful in keeping us all content after being able to take a daily walk with him in the stroller. However, we are looking forward to getting back to camping in March. Magellan is the King of his camp. He was born there - actually he was born in our motor home, where we rescued his mommy and let her stay in there to be save at night. Tina was a wounded, pregnant stray but she eventually made her way into our dogs heart as well as our hearts and became boss of the household. Now Magellan is King. He loves those greenies but I'm not sure about them after reading the reviews. I went back to brushing his teeth.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Hi Tina & Fursibs Wow, am I ever excited today. Mom went to Walmart and she came home with a new bed for me. it is dark pink with light pink hearts on it and it sure is comfy. Now we all have our own beds to sleep in. We had a nice day today, it was in the upper 30's and no snow or wind, but we hear more snow is coming next week. It sure is making up for last Winter when we hardly got none. Mom is watching TV, she has the Red Wings hockey game on and they are winning 2/0 right now in the 2nd period. Mom sure hopes we win tonight cause we have lost our last 5. You should see my little brother, he's been playing with shoelaces lately, he pulls moms shoes around the house, so mom gave him a shoelace she doesn't use anymore and he loves it, he drags it all over. Do you like to go outside? We do, we go out in our yard only..it is all fenced in and we can't get out, so we like to play outside and we like to lay in the sun. BTW~~We HATE Greenies. Mom bought some for us once and we did not like them, they smelled funny, so we did not eat them, so mom gave them to her friend and her cat ate them. of all 4 of us, only Jesse ate one and he never ate another one. Hope you have a pawsome evening! 334 We have never bought the tuna packed in oil. So....... the tuna we are talking about is packed in water but sometime in 2012 the ingredient soy (not soy oil) has been added to the tuna. Prior to 2012 the ingredients in tuna fish were tuna, water now its tuna, soy, water. And I have been researching this and yes it is a filler to alter the food chain of natural food. They will be doing it to salmon soon. I have signed the petitions against the salmon. Even Chicken of the Sea tuna now has soy added to it. So if you are on a grain free diet you really don't want soy - many pets are allergic to soy and although the original soy bean is a food by the time they process the soy and put it in everything it is no longer a real food it's too processed. What really got me was since Tina died (she loved Friskies cans mostly because she only had two teeth) I decided that Magellan would move to a grain free dry food diet and I would give him human grade tuna as a treat (His favorite) but now I'm so mad about the soy that I can't even enjoy the tuna fish but Magellan still is enjoying it. I have been studying diet and my plan is to eat the food as close to the way God made it. We are what we eat. However, Magellan still likes some Friskies Salmon and it has too many dyes and stuff in it too. Magellan likes to hunt but he does not hunt birds - really he is afraid of them and that is another story or two.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Hi Kitties A while back you wrote us a philosophical question about why is there soy oil in canned tuna? Good question and we are glad that you are reading the labels. Check out the Friskies and other brands of cat tuna to see what's in there. We do not like human tuna. But Gracie t-t loves to drink the juice. Ours is packed in spring water. As yet we have found no springs at all in there. We asked mom about the soy oil ?? because we do not know what it it anyway. I, PD Budd, am on a no grain diet as mush as possible. I am not sure that refers to oil... So, mom says that soy oil is cheap and that's why it is in that tuna. tell your purrsonal shopper to stop buying tuna packed in oil. It is not healthy even for humans. Now, that we have that cleared up, is there anything else you are wondering about? How is it living with a celebrity... ole Jelly Boy? 332 voters thank you We are still in awe of the commercials of the super bowl. Loved the Baby Clydesdale Budweiser with the Stevie Nicks song Landslide. Loved the Paul Harvey commentary about Farmers for Ram trucks. And just loved not having to go anywhere or have any company that night. But my TV time ends when the weather gets nice enough to be outside instead so I never really watch football either just the Super Bowl.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

329 voters thank you Tina is very much missed - I miss how she had to lay in the warm cloths just out of the drier and sleep with me under the electric blanket. She did not like to be cold. Magellan does not mind, however he is doing good indoors this winter and only going out in his stroller for a daily walk. Tina would have needed to be wrapped up in a warm blanket to go out. We miss her. Izy actually has been in a good home for two winter already. December 2nd of 2010 she went to be fostered with a doggy friend Sarah and they all ended up getting along so good that became her forever home. I do get to visit her and she does get to come to camp where she was rescued from and get outside when it is nice. Vicki died In November 2011 after being a stray lonely cat for at least one bad winter, however before she died she knew a loving indoor home. We have a colony of four cats, which Vicki was number five. The four kitties have three devoted care givers and a nice warm patio with igloo and food to winter them over until us humans can get back to camp and care for them daily. When the caregiver is at camp they can go indoors if they wish but they mostly want to be out. They are doing good as we check on them weekly and they have each other. Trigger, Meano, Goldie and Kelly. I hope to put their profile up when I have some extra time to do it. Magellan is very excited to learn all the animal kingdom signs of winter and weather. This is what we are missing in modern technology. I think that the weather men don't get it right a whole lot of the time but they should learn these old ways and so should the rest of us. I expect that we will have a wintery February but I hope that by March we can get back to the great outdoors and some sunshine.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

327 voters Thank you I am very proud of my son, Magellan. He was COTD on January 25th 2012. I got to celebrate my COTD on March 12th 2012 and then I quickly passed away on August 9th 2012. My humans and Magellan really miss me but they know it was time. And they have each other. My humans are taking very good care of Magellan and making sure his head and ears get cleaned daily since I am not there to do it. My Mom human really wants another cat, something like me but maybe not quit as dominate and bossy, for Magellan's sake as well as all the doggy friends that Magellan has. I am resting in Peace and I am very much missed.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Hi Izy, Tina & Vicki! We visited Magellan on his special day yesterday, so now we don't want you 3 to feel left out, and jealous that Magellan got all the attention, so we just left each of you a vote too! "Aysha" means "one who must be obeyed"! Mom thinks it fits! She is very opinionated! Our mom also has a human grandbaby named Izzy! You have a beautiful family... We are rather sad today, as our foster kitty Crash, has had yet another setback, and is at the vet's again! Mom was so worried last night, he was obviously in pain, wouldn't eat...Don't know if the pin holding his leg together is causing all the problem, by moving. If it is ready to come out, then it's good, but if not, she is beginning to think that it might be kinder to not let him keep suffering, when that is the only hind leg that even stood a chance of ever healing... Please pray for him!Come visit me, ~Aysha~ # 193182~ Thankyou so much for my COTD!!, << Meiko >> (the muffin man) # 201282, ~ Kashi ~ # 193441~ <3 being COTD! & Angel Crash- RIP Sweet Boy- thank you CC friends!.

322 voters thank you I am very proud of my son today he is COTD and very deserving of it since he is watching over the humans that I left behind with each other on August 9th 2012. I did enjoy the COTD award March 12th 2012. Please visit Magellan and cast a vote his way. http://www.catchannel.com/blog/viewbio. aspx?apid=165296 Thank you so much for the COTD (Cat of the Day) award. I am so excited for the opportunity to get to know so many new kitty friends and for all my new friends to get to know me. I am a very cool cat. I have video's vicindy4U youtube http://youtu.be/WhXvbclG-Ak . I have a fan club on Face Book Jellyboy Cat because I am the inspirations behind the song and video Jellyboy Cat. https://www.facebook.com/groups/99981589203/ I also have inspired articles in Animal Wellness magazine along with my beloved mom, Tina. Since it is very cold here in Pa. I will lay by my human as she attempts to visit as many of you as possible while she pets me all day long. My treat will be human grade tuna fish as that is my favorite meal of all. Question: Why does tuna fish have soy oil in it all of a sudden? I'm suppose to be on no wheat, no corn, no soy no grain diet like a carnivore should be and here the real human tuna fish has soy in it.., Why? We may or may not take our daily short stroll outside but if we do I will be in my stroller and my feet will not even touch the cold snow. I'm getting use to this whole indoor cats thing, although I will be happy to get to my real home and visit all of my favorite outside trees. My indoor cat tree needs some repairs and so maybe that will get done as well since I am Cat of the Day.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Today, we remember Jim Croce Jim Croce (1/10/43 – 9/20/73)wrote the "Time in a Bottle" after his wife Ingrid told him she was pregnant with his son. He had finished recording the album just over a week before his death. The plane crashed about an hour after the end of the concert. The posthumous release included hit: "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song". He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990. The song's lyrics, dealing with immortality and the wish to have more time, came across as if he had had a premonition of his untimely death. Imagine having the power to pause or manage time. ********Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croce If I could save time in a bottle The first thing that I'd like to do Is to save every day 'Til eternity passes away Just to spend them with you If I could make days last forever If words could make wishes come true I'd save every day like a treasure and then, Again, I would spend them with you [Chorus] But there never seems to be enough time To do the things you want to do Once you find them I've looked around enough to know That you're the one I want to go Through time with If I had a box just for wishes And dreams that had never come true The box would be empty Except for the memory Of how they were answered by you •*´¨`*•. ¸¸.•*´¨`*•.¸¸ ::: (\_(\ ...*...*. ..*...*.. *: (=' :') :::::::: Chloe •.. 314 vote Gone with the wind story - behind the scene details are very interesting. I wonder how many writers have those stacks of unfinished novels or songs in my case. We are in the middle of flu season and it is in our room. Magellan has even coughed a few times. I hope he does not get this as he has been a very healthy cat and he will be 12 years old in May 2013. He is Tina's son and he has slowed down since Tina died in August but he spends more time with both of his humans and it's like he knows we need his attention.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Mitchell's Gone with the Wind Margaret Mitchell had a huge stack of paper that was gathering dust in her closet in Atlanta, Georgia. Harold Latham, an editor visiting from New York, caught wind of the epic novel, but Mitchell refused to give him the manuscript. It wasn’t ready (and might never be). The same week, an up-and-coming writer found out about the novel and exclaimed to Mitchell: “Really I wouldn’t take you for the type who would write a successful book. You know you don’t take life seriously enough to be a novelist.” Her dander up, Mitchell handed her unfinished manuscript to Latham. He had to buy an extra suitcase to carry it home, but it was worth the money. It wasn’t long before he made an offer for Gone with the Wind. •*´¨`*•. ¸¸.•*´¨`*•.¸¸ ::: (\_(\ ...*...*. ..*...*.. *: (=' :') :::::::: Chloe •.. Music, dancing, appetizers - parties usher in 2013 Mom simply dreads the day when my time comes. Kitties fill us with their unconditional love. The first New Year's celebration dates back to around 2000 BC in Mesopotamia. The Times Square celebration began in 1904, when The New York Times opened its headquarters and hosted a big party, complete with fireworks, on New Year's Eve. In 1907, the paper's head electrician constructed a giant lighted ball, made of wood and iron, weighed 700 pounds, and was lit by a hundred 25-watt bulbs. Today, it's made of Waterford crystal, weighs almost six tons, and is lit by more than 32,000 LED lights. The party in Times Square is attended by up to a million people every year. Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but New Year's celebrations can be so delightful! And since you've got a place to go--to see the ball fall--let us go, let's go, here we go! Other cities have developed other ball-dropping traditions: Atlanta, Georgia, drops a giant peach. Eastport, Maine, drops a sardine. Ocean City, Maryland, drops a beach ball. Mobile, Alabama, drops a 600-pound electric Moon Pie. Tempe, Arizona has a giant tortilla chip which descends into a massive bowl of salsa. Brasstown, North Carolina drops a Plexiglas pyramid containing a live possum. Key West, Florida, drops an enormous ruby slipper with a drag queen inside it. Quote from the movie New Yr's Eve: "And as you all can see, the ball has stopped half way to its perch. it's suspended there to remind us before we pop the champagne and celebrate the new year, to stop, and reflect on the year that has gone by, to remember both our triumphs and our missteps, our promises made and broken, the times we opened ourselves up to great adventures... or closed ourselves down for fear of getting hurt, because that's what new year's all about, getting another chance, a chance to forgive. to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more, and to stop worrying about what if... and start embracing what will be. so when that ball drops at midnight, and it will drop, let's remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other, and not just tonight but all year long." Oprah chimes in, "Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." While brave, enthusiastic merrymakers, revelers and tourists from across the globe flood Times Square to withstand the fierce winds and bone-chilling weather, mom will watch the festivities from the comfort of her cozy home. Fond memories, friendly smiles and warm hearts keep us bubbly and sparkling. We heartily toast the countdown to 12a.m. with friends and loved ones. •*´¨`*•. ¸¸.•*´¨`*•.¸¸ ::: (\_(\ ...*...*. ..*...*.. *: (=' :') :::::::: Chloe •.. 311 vote for Tina Interesting comment about Monopoly and a good success story as well. Tina is being very much missed today. She died August 9th 2012 and I still have days that I miss her and think about her and usually shed some tears. When it was cold out, like today she always got under the covers and snuggled up close but during the night she would actually open the lid of a tiny basket that contained her toys and she would get each toy out and carry it in her little dislocated jaw meowing for all to hear her accomplishments. And she was a survivor.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Monopoly of life:a lucky break just when U need it A rags to riches tale: On December 31, 1935, the game Monopoly was patented by Charles Darrow, an unemployed engineer in Germantown, Pennsylvania. He struggled with odd jobs to support his family in the years following the great stock market crash of 1929. This fascinating story of corporate intrigue begins with the 30-year old, The Landlord's Game. It had a lot of the familiar Monopoly features like a "Go to Jail" square and utilities and properties for purchase. With his free time, Darrow modified it, basing his rental properties on his favorite resort town, Atlantic City. Parker Brothers, at first, turned down Charles Darrow, explaining that his game contained "fifty-two fundamental errors" including: the game took too long to play, the rules were too complicated and there was no clear goal for the winner. Parker Brothers later offered Charles Darrow royalties, on each new version of Monopoly sets sold. This generous deal made him a millionaire. In 1970, a few years after Darrow's death, Atlantic City erected a commemorative plaque in his honor. It stands on the Boardwalk, near the corner of Park Place. •*´¨`*•. ¸¸.•*´¨`*•.¸¸ ::: (\_(\ ...*...*. ..*...*.. *: (=' :') :::::::: Chloe •..
