Warm Thursday purrs from the Z Zone
Good Morning Annie! Very nice to meet you! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, outside kittens are hard at play & Trixie is chasing Patches through the house. Sounds like a normal day at home to me…MOL!
The Z Zone is proud to present another of my ”All About Dad” collection with a child’s portrayal of what makes dad special to them throughout their lives.
Four years old: My daddy can do anything.
Five years old: My daddy knows a whole lot.
Six years old: My dad is smarter than your dad.
Eight years old: My dad doesn't know exactly everything.
Ten years old: In the olden days, when my dad grew up, things were sure different.
Twelve years old: Oh, well, naturally, Dad doesn't know anything about that. He is too old to remember his childhood.
Fourteen years old: Don't pay any attention to my dad. He is so old-fashioned.
Twenty-one years old: Him? My Lord, he's hopelessly out of date.
Twenty-five years old: Dad knows about it, but then he should, because he has been around so long.
Thirty years old: Maybe we should ask Dad what he thinks. After all, he's had a lot of experience.
Thirty-five years old: I'm not doing a single thing until I talk to Dad.
Forty years old: I wonder how Dad would have handled it. He was so wise.
Fifty years old: I'd give anything if Dad were here now so I could talk this over with him. Too bad I didn't appreciate how smart he was. I could have learned a lot from him.
Sound familiar? MOL! Why does it take us so many years to appreciate one of the most beloved people in our lives? Good thing dads are patient & willing to forgive our slight indiscretions.

Stitch was waiting at the Cats In Need cat rescue. He was waiting for the purrfect person who would give him a loving home and family. His Mom looked at all the kitties but felt pulled back to Stitch's cage, he did his magic, and next thing he knew, he was going home with her! Stitch is a 5 year old kitty with huge polydactyl paws that serve him well when he plays throw the ball with his family! He loves his family and keeps them entertained with his playful antics!
Stitch's Mom is the Cat Channel Moderator and works hard to make the CC a safe and friendly environment. She probably won't be able to do the individual thank yous, but we hope all kitties will please leave a vote for him on page #6653 so Stitch can have a COTD badge too!

>^..^<*~ Happy Spring CC! Please give a COTD VOTE of support THURS., APRIL 1st, to Tobeka #137426, the pretty striped Tabby princess with white boots & mittens! A young Tobeka showed up at an elderly gentleman’s home & made herself comfortable. Unfortunately, the gentleman’s female cat did not like young Tobeka so the man phoned the Pound to take Tobeka away. Sadly, the Pound will shoot unclaimed kitties after 3 days so this was especially bad news for Tobeka. The Pound man’s wife phoned her Mom, who ran a rescue, and said “There is a really sweet kitty here and I do think she would make someone a great pet.” She asked her Mom to come & pick up Tobeka before her time would be up. The Mom’s Rescue was full at the time but she decided Tobeka could live in her bedroom until she got her shots and spay surgery. The bedroom is normally off limits to the kitties as their Rescue Mommy is allergic to cats but she could not bare to think of Tobeka getting shot. She promptly picked up Tobeka and found she was a very sociable friendly cat that was terribly lonely without companionship. Rescue Mom bought Tobeka, with her distinct stripes and white paws, a stuffed toy Zebra to keep her company and help her adjust. Well, Tobeka fell in love with her zebra! She and Zeb, the zebra, hang out together, sleep together and play together! Once she got all her shots, Tobeka was allowed out of the bedroom. Tobeka happily came out of the bedroom, dragging Zeb with her! She drags Zeb everywhere she goes! Tender Tobeka is such a friendly kitty, she never fights with anyone! If another cat takes a slap at her, she just gently walks away. She loves to play with all the other cats & dogs and is fearless about everything. Tobeka enjoys life and enjoys companionship! She asked us to tell you all about her special “friend” Zeb the zebra as she will share her COTD badge with him since she shares everything with Zeb!

Hello Annie,
How are you doing today sweetie? It's been a few days since we came by but we told mom that she needed to let us come by and see you:)
What have you been up to lately?
Did we ever tell you that we have a sister named Annie too? She's the one in the boxing match with Rowdy on the bottom of his page. Mom is working on putting more of our siblings on CC, she sure is taking her time about it.
Nothing much happened here today, we layed around and watched the birds fly around with sticks and weeds in their mouths and we don't know why, silly birds.
It didn't rain today and it got up to 61, we are so ready for sping, sometimes we wonder if it didn't get lost:)

My pawrents bought a breadmaker a few months ago, and we've been making several kinds of bread. We call it "Artemis Bakery." tee-hee. A Mom and Dad were on vacation and staying at a hotel when they noticed a most unusual doorman, uh, door kitty in a Tuxedo suit! It was Orzo #148437! She was at the door to perhaps choose her parents? When she spied the ones she wanted, she made eye contact and stole their hearts! The Mom & Dad went to a store, bought a pet carrier, and when they checked out of the hotel, they scooped up Orzo and took this sweetheart home with them! Fast forward 10 years and see pictures of this beauty who is happy in her loving furrever home! This is the latest MCC Mewsletter!
EVENTS-
T- he MCC is having a Maine Coon Convention (MCCC) on Saturday, April 17th. This is for Maine Coon cats only, but afterwords we're having a grill, pool, and movie pawty for everycat to attend! Please fill out the permission slip in our motto for both events, and RSVP on our page.
IMPORTANT DATES-
Lover's birthday: May 18th
MCCC: April 17th, also the pawty that's afterwords
MCC Official Pawrents Day: March 29th
MCC OFFICIAL PAWRENTS DAY:
This is on March 29th. Basically what it is is a day to honor our pawrents for everything they've done-feed us, water us, give us shelter, you name it. So, this will be on our page and we will offer catnip cookies, mousie milk, and Friskies dry and wet food. We will play a game called "Who's pawrent is this?" What you do is bring a picture of your mommy or daddy and we'll hang them up. Then, we'll seperate into teams and try to guess who's pawrent is who's. It's very fun! Please fill out the permission slip in our motto and RSVP at our page.

Alexi, or Little Bit, was born with an abnormally short tail and was having no luck finding a furever home until her breeder managed to talk her future family into taking her – and boy are they glad they did! We are so glad that you stopped by. How have you been? Moms behind in her blogs again, as usual, guess I'm going to have to get a substitute secretary.
It's 61 here and we are watching the squirrels digging in the ground mom said they are hunting for their acorns they buried last fall, silly squirrels, I don't know why they just don't go to their food dish like we do and get something to eat.
Not much going on here today we all are being lazy, after all thats what we are supposed to do, right?

tell us what you like to do..do you go outside? what kind of toys do you have? do you ever get in trouble? our sammy does..all the time...course..he's a boy...lia is the sweetest thing except yesterday and today she has been a little wierd..bouncing off the walls and picking fights...mom thinks she got too much catnip...and maia has been quiet...but wanting to lay on mom's shoulders all the time..
