Missing our Duchess - should we get another kitty?
Dear friends,
Mom and I are REALLY missing our little Duchess. She passed on January 22, 2010. Is it too soon to get another female kitty? We don't want to get another kitty too soon, but how do you know what's an appropriate time to wait to get another one????? Mom keeps looking at Petfinder and finds herself looking for Duchess - and she actually found another girl that looked very much like her, but when she called about her - she had already been adopted.........so, we're still just thinking about it all. Anyone have any suggestions??
We haven't been online much, as Mom's been sick a lot lately. So forgive me for not writing or visiting any one.

Hello from Nemo!
Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been online much. My mom has been sick and I'm still missing our little Duchess pretty bad. Even the dog, Recon, is missing Duchess.
We didn't know it was going to be this hard when we first lost Duchess, but it's really hard and we miss her soooo much.
Mom's thinking about adopting another female kitty, but not sure yet. We know we cannot replace Duchess, but the house is just a little empty without her around us.
Anyone got any ideas??????

Bath time!!!!!!!!!
Well, it seems that I'm getting a nice, warm bath in just a little bit. Mom's son, Justin, usually bathes me because I give Mom a bit of a hard time. Justin is very gentle with me and so I don't put up a fuss with him. In fact, I look forward to Justin's bath time with me!!!!!!
Maybe I'll pose good for mom to take a new pic after my bath. I just don't like the flash of the camera too much. But after a nice, warm bath, I feel all frisky and am more open to having my pic taken.
Thanks for stopping by to see me and come back after my bath - I'll be all fluffy and prettied up. Ok, here comes Justin - that means it's bath time!

Duchess wasn't on Cat Channel
To answer your question about Duchess being on Cat Channel, no she wasn't. I was originally going to put her on here, but my computer crashed and then I totally forgot about it.
Just recently after her passing, I got an email from the Cat Channel, and I picked it back up. I'm going to add Duchess in loving memory of her.

Thanks everyone for your very kind messages! My mom thinks I am VERY beautiful and she loves me dearly. I guess you read how we met - I Chose HER!!!!!!
Yes - we are missing Duchess, you can see a pic of my mom holding Duchess in the pics. Duchess was a Persian/Himalayan mix and she was a tiny little girl. I took her right in and we loved her very much.
I'm a much bigger male than it appears in my pics. But I'm a "gentle giant".........I walk softly and am very loving.
What are the "votes" about??????? Mom and I don't know what the "votes" are all about.....But thanks for voting for me.......
Mom has to go to the doc today, so we'll get online this evening when she gets back.
Come back to visit me anytime!

Please look at the pics my mom has posted of me. I'm a very beautiful kitty. The pic of my mom in red, is of Duchess - whom we recently lost on 1/22/10. Duchess and I were very close and we all miss her dearly.
