Thank you for stopping back again. I also used to be a dog owner. As a matter of fact, I still like dogs. But I am aware that dogs require lots of attention and time. I rather have cats as they are more independent. I am so glad you have Sophia Elizabeth. Cats are great company and fun! My first cat was a female, a calico. I had her for 15 years until she died. I loved her SO MUCH (I still remember her everyday!) It took me about 7 years to be able to get another cat, at it was only because my little son insisted, and insisted he wanted a cat. I am glad I heard him. First we got Charlie (he is 9 years old), later we got Shadow (he is 7 years old) and several years later we got Gigi as a gift and we got Solecito to play with her as her "big" brothers weren't interesting in playing with a kitten. From the 4 cats, Gigi is the closest to me. I don't know if there is something about the color, but I have heard from gray cat owners that they are just GREAT. I guess we are lucky we have our "gray girls" in our lives.

Hi, It is Gigi(Korat) again. Thank you for visiting me again. I saw that you got a message from Zelda (Blue Russian). I got curious (curious as a cat!) to know the differences between Korats and Blue Russians. I found this in the internet and I copied for you:
The Russian Blue and the Korat share a great many words in common.
Both are described as medium, silver-blue shorthair cats with
green eyes. A Korat is generally heavier for the same size cat
than a Russian Blue. Korats are stockier and a bit chunkier than
Russian Blues and the Korat has rounded lines where Russian Blues
have longer and straighter lines. The Korat has a single coat and
the Russian Blue has dense double coat. The Korat is gun-metal
blue which is darker than the usual Russian Blue color. Both
breeds have silver tipping on each hair. The Korat's eyes are a
peridot green and the Russian Blue has emerald green eyes. The
head structures on the two breeds are distinctly different and the
personalities are very different.
I think it is very interesting and both, Korats and Russian Blues, are BEAUTIFUL CATS!
I just thought that this could be interesting for you. I think you are just a very cute cat and I voted for you again.

Oh MY! You look EXACTLY like me! I am a prrrrrretty Russian Blue. You have the same face, (wedged head) and a tapered tail is the sign of a Russian Blue. Green/Yellow eyes to! Although Russian Blues look much like Korats, Russian Blues have a different ear placing and head shape. Come look at me and the pictures at the bottom to see how much we look alike, don't you agree? Sophia Elizabeth, thanks for visiting me! You are one beautiful kitty with a beautiful name! You look like a model in all your photos. So glad your family adopted you from the Humane Society. My mom got me for free at a store where someone took me and my littermates. If she hadn't gotten me, I would have ended up at the Humane Society. They said at the store I wasn't chosen because people don't like black cats. HUH?!!! Fast EddieCome visit me, Eddie.

Thank you for visiting me once more. I also voted for you again. We truly are beautiful! I still think you are a Korat. You know... we are so rare that not many people recognize us. I go to a cat clinic in my area. This is a very prestigious and experienced clinic (my area is not a small place, I live in Buffalo, NY [well, the suburbs]) My doctor told me that in all his practice he has just had one other Korat as a patient. Well... the important thing is that we are cute and lovely, and most important, that we have WONDERFUL human families.

When I adopted Sophia, the Humane Soicety told me that, she was a Domestic Short Hair....When I read the article in Cat Fancy regarding a Korat, I thought she was also a Korat...How would I know? She is our little Princess....
