WORLD WAR I: Ellis Island was used as a detention center for suspected enemies and as a deportation center for illegal immigrants.

In 1965, Lyndon Johnson removed quotas through the Hart-Cellar Act. The Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965 quadrupled Asian immigration.

Hi Katie,
I am not sure about the quizzmaster program.it is fairly new. it appears to be a weekly thing. Concatgulations on passing CC. I am waiting for the next session and hope I do a little better this time around.
Our lovely spring weather is gone. The last 2 days it has been overcast and cool. All around us have winter storm watch and you can see that is happening when the clouds allow us to see the mountains.
Yesterday I was feisty in the morning. I played with the bug chaser, batted my yellow egg all over. Mom had to get it for me under the table a couple of the last time I went under the table and got it myself. I got to play with the mouse and the red light. I am still trying to taste the red light and there is nothing there. I slept all afternoon while my pawrents watched the Mariners lose to the Clubs 1- 0. Mom Betty finished a number of handwork and needs to start something else.
Mom is still having problems getting the mask on. Her fingers don’t work right and she very little depth perception. There is nothing new to report on my Dad. He is doing okay. This morning Mom baked her GF blueberry muffins for coffee. The muffins were a nice treat for everyone. We still haven’t had any rain.
Today’s past adventure took place at a Cascade Park , near North Bend, WA. We like this park because it was near Seattle and my pawrents could visit friends & relatives without driving the motor home in Seattle’s nightmare of traffic. Mom’s nieces came over to see us a couple of times and I like them very much as they brought me new toys. This park no longer exists. It had a lot of hills to climb. I taught myself to climb. There was this boy who would play with me. One time we meet a man with a Ragdoll kitten about my age. While our pawrents talk the ragdoll and I became friends. Another time while taking a walk with my Mom we found a motor home that had 5 cats. Most were outside on leashes. I went to greet them; but one of the cats hissed at me. I was quizmaster at one time, but now I am båck †o 32nd, or 34th or something.
How many litters have you had? Your owners should also think about spaying you. They did that to me, and now een though I can't have any kittens, I can go outside.

Thanks for the votes and I will leave you both one. How did Jacinta get her name? Katie keep up the good work on quizmaster's badge.
The NP stopped the medicines for RLS as it was causing so many other problems. Memory lost was one of them. She is getting good marks on the use of C-pap. The pressure was cut from 13 to 7 or 8. She is looking for an in home test for amount of oxygen she is getting at night.
My quizzes score I ham 5th place of all users. the number taken changes all the time. One day Mom was in 4th place but now back to 5th place. It probably doesn't mean anything for Cat College of the quizmaster. Mom feels she is not that high for Cat college and still doesn't know how quizmasters are figure.
Mom needed some birthday Kimis and thought she would do them. Than Miracle & Taffee's Mom wanted some Kimis of them. Mom mde a number for her. At once others started to use some of her Kimis. She has learned how to do a frame around the completed Kimi and that sure finishes them off. one she did of her Mom had 4 uses yesterday, mostly on the same day. Anyway if you haven't been to her page for awhile she has a number of new ones on it. She needs to find a way to become a Kimifan without putting her credit card number on the Internet. There a number of pluses for them.

The sun is out again and the wind is making it chilly. Mom was up early again as her C-Pap
My Mom had a visit with the Sleep NP. She is doing all right with her C-PAP. She told her to stop one of her medicines. It wasn’t doing much for her and had so many side negative effects.
Before they left for the doctor’s office, 5 Canada geese were on the premises looking for a nest site. Robins have arrived. My pawrents stopped at Carl’s Jr and my Mom was able to get a GF hamburger & fries. What a treat, it has been years since Mom could eat at a fast food outlet.
This adventure happen a Pahranagat. My parents were counting birds; they stopped watch a peregrine falcon on a dead tree limb. It was close to Avocet Point. As they were watching a flock of about 50 avocets landed just a few feet from the post. Suddenly, the falcon took off and attacked one of the birds. The avocet filled to the ground along with the falcon. The falcon pulled the avocet out of the water and flew to his previous post. He began to pull feathers from the bird. He was last seen as my pawrents continue on to the next point eating his meal.
