by ur name u must have some scottish or irish connections. our momma is scotch-irish and apache. her first ancestors moved from scotland to ireland and in 1730 migrated here to usa.
we are concerned bout when gpa has to go for therapy. he is 79 and quite stubborn sometimes. oh well

our weather has turned cold again but at least the sun is shining and no bad wind and rain today either.

we are asking all kitties to send up prayers for the tornado victums here in georgia. two or three of our counties toward the ga/al line got hit really hard and some lost everything, two even their lives.
it is such an odd time for tornadoes here, but this wacky weather is bad this year.

well gpa had his surgery yesterday for a partial hip replacement and did okay, they are putting him on a respirator for a few days tho.

the weather hoomans are tellin us we have some bbadd weather coming our way with high dangerous winds, possible tornados, lighting, and very heavy rain. is to be hear by early afternoon. hope they are wrong!!!!

momma got us some new food, it is breakfast food from friskies canned. it is called rise and shine, and has salmon, eggs; chicken and eggs and sure is good!!!!!!

well the weather hoomans are callin for icing in the area of my home today. hope it dont get real bad as momma is a work and is 21 miles from home is not supposed to get above freezing all day and is supposed to be freezing rain all day today. they are having icing on the cars where momma works as we write. we will worry till she gets home today

daddy told her that there is ice on the porch and steps and trees at home, but not on road yet. maybe it will stay that way is 26 there for now.

well momma got to stay home yesterday but not from the weather, she had one of her migraine clusters and we didnt make it to hockey last nite cause momma was sleeping and after a day like she had we were not gonna wake her

we are to start our day tomorrow with a wintry mix that will turn into freezing rain and eventually with turn in freezing drizzle. sounds like a lovely day.

is a cold day here today, i know not as cold as ur home, but to us deep south kitties the 26 it was this am is cold!!!!! and it is very windy and the wind chill is brutal. is not raining so no frozen stuff, but is to rain friday nite, but temps will be up a bit by then.

Supplies:
4 White Carnations
2 Plastic Black Shank Buttons - if you can find an oval shape even better
1 Plastic Yellow Shank Button
1 Sheet of White Craft Foam
Black Card Stock
Fabric Glue
Straight Pins
Tape
Green Floral Tape
Floral Wire
Red Ribbon

Place button wires into the flowers to create the face (make sure they're secure). You might need to trim the wire a little so your buttons sit flat on top of the flowers. I also recommend looking at a Hello Kitty image to get the nose and eye spacing correct.

Tie a traditional red bow and trim off tales. Attach a floral wire to bow. Cut two rounded triangles from the white foam for ears. You'll want the ears to be slightly bigger opposed to proportionate. Glue one of the ears on the back of the bow. Tape the other ear to the floral wire. The wire should be 6" in length.

Situate ears at the top of the bouquet. You will need to bend the ears back about 90 degrees. The flowers should cover part of the foam ears (this is why we made them larger). With floral tape, wrap wire and stems to secure in place.

Last are the whiskers. Cut 6 thin strips of black card stock measuring 2" in length. Pin three strips to each side of the face inside the flowers using straight pins. You now have a Hello Kitty Bouquet. For more color surround it with other flowers or wrap it in cellophane and tissue paper.

Mitchell's Gone with the Wind
Margaret Mitchell had a huge stack of paper that was gathering dust in her closet in Atlanta, Georgia. Harold Latham, an editor visiting from New York, caught wind of the epic novel, but Mitchell refused to give him the manuscript. It wasn’t ready (and might never be).

Cat "arrested" for break-in Brazilian prison
There are paw-prints all over the scene of the "crime" for its part in an apparent jail break attempt. This feline's life of crime is now over.

The incident took place at New Year. A smuggling cat has been detained in the grounds of a jail in Brazil with contraband goods for prisoners strapped to its body with tape. They found a mobile phone, charger, headphones and tools. Officials said the items could be used to effect a means of escape or for communicating with criminals on the outside.

The white cat was apprehended crossing the main prison gate. The incident took place at a jail in Arapiraca city, 250km (155 miles) south-west of Recife in Alagoas state.

The cat had apparently been trained to assist in high-profile prison breaks, and had been seen coming in and out of the jail multiple times prior to its arrest.
The jail holds some 263 prisoners.

There are no leads in the case. All of the prisoners are suspects in the case, but it’ll be hard to get any forward-momentum in the investigation. A prison spokesperson stated: "It's tough to find out who's responsible for the action as the cat doesn't speak."

LIVING as if we only had one year left to LIVE
Novelist and critic John "Anthony Burgess" Wilson (1917-1993) got frustrated by the literary scene and left England. He took a teaching position in Malaya. Living abroad inspired Burgess' writing. He published three unsuccessful novels.
In 1959, he began to suffer from severe headaches and was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. The doctor told him he only had one year to live. He returned home to earn money to provide for his widow. Instead of feeling miserable, he had a new sense of purpose.
He wrote: "I had been granted something I had never had before: a whole year to live. I would not be run over by a bus tomorrow, nor knifed on the Brighton racetrack. I would not choke on a bone. If I fell in the wintry sea, I would not drown. I had a whole year, a long time. In that year I had to earn for my prospective widow. ... Burgess wrote five novels in the year he believed to be his last. He proceeded to live for another 33 more years after the inaccurate assessment of his condition.
In 1962, he published "A Clockwork Orange". Stanley Kubrick adapted the book into a highly controversial film. Between 1970 and 1980 Burgess published around 30 books.
He was an accomplished musician and linguist. He died from lung cancer. At his death he was a multi-millionaire, leaving a Europe-wide property portfolio of houses and apartments.

The Nutcracker Ballet
On December 17, 1892, The Nutcracker ballet premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia. Critics and audience thought it a failure; it was not an instant success.
The adaptation by Alexandre Dumas (1802–1870) was based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by Ernst Theodor Wilhelm Hoffman (1776-1822).
The score was composed by Peter Tchaikovsky, commissioned by mastermind choreographer Marius Petipa. Tchaikovsky died less than a year later.
The ballet was first performed in the United States in 1944. The Nutcracker has become a classic — many people consider it the most popular ballet in the world.

Gosh, I sure don't understand why your mom dosen't want you in the tree. We are supposed to do that aren't we? I've never been outside since the day Dad found me and Savanah...but I've heard stories of kitties climbing trees and poles. Gee...pawrents. We are lucky yes, we get to celebrate Chanukah and Christmas. We get two dinners and presents. We are so happy to hear that you truly enjoyed your special day in the spotlight. You sure did look good in that window. My name is Pearl. I am one of the five that was born here in the house. Angel Tig's fursib. My picture is first on the Girls page. I am happily pawing by to say hello for the first time because Sahara and Savanah are in the naughty room. They have just been horrible to Robin for the last few days and this morning after they ganged up on her Dad was fit to be tied. He knows that it's not a good solution but they are stressing the heck out of grammy. Dad has been spending most of his time with his friend who's mum passed away last week and now cleaning out the apartment, hence our big delay in replying. I know it stinks for Sahara and Savanah but we all warned them. Especially when Dad can chase after us when we are naughty now. On the plus side since the little piggy's are seperated we got a real bag of pro plan food. Not that icky diet stuff. Please forgive my generic letter. I have alot of catching up to do but It sure is great to meet you. I'm just super excited to push the vote button for you for the first time. Big Paw Hugs and Whisker Kisses.

Its Monday!
Mom is moving slow again, but says she is working on her schedule for the week. Time for us to make Holiday plans, which includes what days the dogs visit the kennel, he-he! We kitties will be pawtying! We need to thank all, who remembered Angel Lacy's crossing date. Mom still has to put it back on the bio and make it clear our Angel page is still for Lacy and A. YoYo, but also for some kitties we don't even have digital pics of, esp. a very old Angel named Sandy. We will try to copy more of those pis and add them, if we can. Angel Sandy lived during Lacy and YoYo's time and is dear to mom's heart, because he came to us during the Holidays. The vet said he was atleast 15-17 yrs when mom's friend found him collapsed in the driveway. He way a cat abandoned many yrs before by a neighbor and living in the alley. When mom brought him to the vet the next day, they gave him less than a 50/50 chance to live, but he did. He lived in the linen closet almost a year, due to fear. His choice, not mom's, but she gave him a litter box and fed him and locked the bathroom door, so other kitties wouldn't bother him. One day he moved himself to mom's room and the rest was history. He lived well into his 20s. We love all the stories of our CC friends, esp. the rescues, and want to honor even more of our past kitties. Sandy was a real love, who even learned to trust again, abandoned in his senior years.

Yike! Yeah my Mom would not be real happy with two chipmunks problem there. Mom is really late tonight getting on to vote. Fortunately she is wide awake so we hope to answer lots of blogs. She went to a Christmas Vesper service at the Moravian Church tonight. She goes every year. It is such a powerful service. Since the church is only a mile away she walks over & back as parking is horrendous. There were 1000 people in the church. brrrrr Was a tad chilly walking over & back. Almost freezing. I sure had a great time piloting the 787 Dreamliner at the Coronation yesterday! K.Pete's blog on the Coronation Flight was spectacular! I think a good time was had by all!

Mom says it is raining cats and dogs, but I still don't see any! MOL! It is raining hard outside and the creeks are really starting to fill up fast. One day we are praying for rain, the next day we are getting too much! These humans are never happy!

Thanks for stopping by to visit. It was an unexpected loss and we miss our Katie a lot. She was always taking care of all of us and we didn't know she was ill. I see you are still up to your old hijinks! Yes, you should come and play with my baby brother Vika. He is curious and big and about your age. Kuzi stayed tiny but she is a real spitfire! We keep mama busy when she is home, but half of time she is tending to Babushka. At least she is never gone over one night now! I am trying to get lot and lots of lap time, but sometime mama pushes me off so she can get blogs done. Then I go sleep in the bottom of my cat tree. What? Hey! I am 14 years old. ~Happy December 1st~
Are you ready for the calico catitude to invade your quiet abodes? Well I'm ready to dish some out...MOL! Living with Fluffinella is..well...interesting! Some days we get along great but there are time when I don't want her to shadow my every move. I know she's learning but geesh...give me a little purrsonal space! It's actually a good thing that her month of blogging is over because last night she kicked into 'big girl' mode & has been rolling around the floor driving all of us bonkers. Mom says her surgery will have to wait until after the holidays though unless that's what we want as our Christmas gift. No way I want to give up any new toys so don't worry mom because I'll whack her back in line as often as I can...MOL! Sorry to say this but I have to make it short today because mom & dad have a lot to do this weekend but I'll be back in full cyclone mode early next week. a votey & a BIG purr
Hi iper
Thanks for a mice mew to me. I am doing exceptionally well. I had to visit the vet for the first time in 7 years because one eye was leaking and looked funny. Come to find out I had a scratch across the lens from, I guess, Gracie twinkle-toes who has loads of claws and is very young and plays rough.
Anyway the Vet says I am very healthy and not even my 11 year old teeth need cleaning. Thanks for asking.
