It's okay. But i wanted to tell you that another cat attacked me. I was walking outside to just look around before i went to bed with Lily, and a grayish black cat jumped out of nowhere. He smelled so weird, like coyotes. He took me down, and scratched me all over. I tried to hide it from Lily. I didn't want to scare her. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. Just please don't tell our baby what actually happened. I love you. The owners are handling it, but she wants you to tell them no and stuff like that. She was eating hard cat food yesterday. She said it hurt her teeth, so we have to wait until she's old enough. I will leave a vote for every one; but only one blog. Your picture is so precious to my Mom. Thanks for the comment on my pictures. I have been changing them a lot to go with some of my adventures. I do miss traveling; but I am glad I don't change my environment as often. There is nothing to hunt here except a few insects.
No let up the cool wet weather in sight. Dad has opened another window so I can smell from it. Right now I am watching for him to return. He left this morning to see Mom’s brother and Mom is doing the washing. Nothing else is happening. I get on the patio most of the time I want as I pestered my pawrents until one of them lets me out.
Mom doesn’t like to stay at Umtanum Park because of the dog manure and it is hot in the summer and cold in the fall & winter. The environment is a mixture of river plant and sagebrush area. In the spring months the native plants put on a show of flowers. It is a popular river for floating on inner tubes, etc. The last time were we were there was just after Labor Day. You couldn’t miss the dog manure. The same is true at most area where there is not a camp host to enforce the rules. You know a little something about 2 year old Snuffy as he is the loving brother of Sweet Miss Sprinkles! The family went with their daughter Stacy to look for a kitten in need of a home at their local SPCA and when Stacy saw Sprinkles & her brother Snuffy she said “Look at the little cow kittens!” They were planning on adopting just Sprinkles, Snuffy’s sister, but when they saw the two sibling kittens playing together, they decided to keep them together and just had to have Snuffy too! They could tell the siblings shared a special bond and did not have the heart to break them up. The family scooped up Sprinkles, along with her brother Snuffy and their human “sis” Stacy became their surrogate mom! The 2 kittens both had bad colds while in the SPCA Cat Center and the family took them home to be nursed back to health & loved.
Snuffy was the smaller of the two siblings and he was the sickest, sneezing with a bad case of sniffles. He had to go to the regular vet as well as the vet at the SPCA. Every time sick little newly adopted Snuffy sneezed, his human sis would ask if he was ok. Ever since then, when one of the humans in the family sneezes or coughs, Snuffy the snuffers meow at them, asking if they're okay! The vet gave Snuffy some great medicine and told his family that Snuffy didn't want to eat because he couldn't smell the food. She told them to get Snuffy some strong-smelling cat food! The family force-fed sick little Snuffy until he realized that the food was some good stuff! Snuffy the snuffer has had a great appetite ever since. To this day, he loves to eat FISH! As a sick kitten, Snuffy was smaller than his sister, Sprinkles, but now he is a really big sweet boy with a talent for opening doors! You are more than welcome. here are some more votes. Your pictures reminds my Mom of me when I was a kitten.
The weather is still unsettled. This morning it looked & felt like we were in for a storm. A couple hours later the sun was shining, now it’s overcast again. The forecast is for 70 degrees in a couple of days. I am ready for it. The flowers are in bloom everywhere and the trees are starting to leaf out along with the spring flowering trees & shrubs.
We had some excitement yesterday afternoon. A couple of large hawks were flying around and finally landed on the trees near the drainage ditch. It took a couple of hours to identify them. My Dad had to get out the spotting scope to find the identifying mark. Mom wouldn’t let me out on my patio even through the hawks were Swainson’s that eat large insects and small birds & rodents. As there are no grasshoppers in my field yet, they may not stay around. The red-tailed nest is occupied and they don’t like other hawks around.
Later that evening my Dad went out the door and I watch the car leave, I didn’t like it all all. I went by the front door and cried for 5 about 5 minutes. I watch all evening for the car to return and it didn’t. My Mom had that mask on her face so I didn’t want to get too near her. About 5:00 A.M., played with the bug chaser for awhile and went to the window and the car still wasn’t there. Later, Mom told me my Dad was there and I didn’t believe her and was surprise when he walked into the room. I decided not to greet him. I will have another adventure later in the week. Hi Danish & Family,
That is great to be friends. Sometimes I need a little reminder to remember to vote. I checked and saw that your family needs votes so I left one for each of them. I tired to hhelp cats get their 100 points for COTD. For the first 5 years of my life I travel in a motor home with my pawrents. Now I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment. My stories are of my travels.
The promised rain arrived last night and it has rain most of the morning. Mountains are getting snow. It is too cold to open the patio door; but I have been out and checked the area. Nothing is happening with the rain.
Mom finished this semester Cat College courses today. She woke me up and put me under a chair and flashed that silver thing at me. I was a good boy and stay there. Mom Betty put 2 pictures on my page. The first are the yellow-billed magpies. The ones here have black bills.
The other is an American Kestrel. He used to be called a sparrow hawk.
My Dad had his blood work this morning. My pawrents will be watching the Mariners ballgame this afternoon.
I can meow loudly when I want. We were park at the Mountain Home RV Park. Avery nice one laid out so you can get your RV in easy. All sites had cement platforms to park on. As usual I was out on my lead and someone came along with 2 dogs. One dog was on lead and the other one was free. The dogs headed straight for me. Before I knew what had happen they had me corner near the wheel. I gave my usual warnings but the dogs ignored me. So I extend my paw whack one of the dogs on his nose as I did it I let out the wild blood chilling call. The dog jumped into his owner’s arms and they took off fast just as Mom came out. Later the manager who saw the whole thing came over and told my pawrents what had happen. He asked if they wanted to leave me as he needed someone to control the dogs.
