Good monday morning!! Mom just got back from her bike ride. She had to go early (6:45 am) because its going to rain. Anyway, its pretty muggy and going to be another hot one here in florida!! I dont understand though why they call it the sunshine state. Its been rainy and cloudy every day. MOL! When the sun is shining - I love to lay on the carpet where the sun hits and absorb the sun and work on my "kitty"tan. I love being a cat and I am such a spoiled DIVA!! Well, its time for my treats so I am givng mom the look and meowing and rubbing against her legs (hehehe - it works every time!) headbonks

Hi Gracie-girl!!!
Wow, Im back!!! Oh I have missed all of my furriends at CC. It has been too long. My mom was on jury duty for an attempted murder trial. It was such a long week for her and she said that it was very stressful. She told my dad that she hopes that she will NEVER have to go through that again. The deliberations took almost a day cause they had to weigh all the evidence and decide the verdict. Anyway, we have a couple new critters besides the foxes and raccoons - mom said that they are called d-e-e-r. A buck and a doe stop in every day now. Grandpaw puts out apple flavored deer corn and a salt lick. Mom posted a picture on my page at the top of the pictures below of the buck taken from the livingroom window near the puter!! Well, I will be back tomorrow morning - sending you lots and lots and lots of love and kittykissies!!

Please give a COTD VOTE of support on Thursday July 1st to a really sweet little 3 year old kitty named Destiny #62594
When she was about 3 weeks old, her feral mother put her, her two sisters and her brother Clay in the garage of some college students. When the students were leaving for school, the kitten’s mother was frightened away. When they got to class the students asked their instructor, who was also Destiny’s future Mom, what to do for these kittens they found in the garage. The instructor (who I will refer to as Mom from now on) went over to see the kittens after class. What she found was all the kittens had bad eye infections, so she cleaned their eyes and agreed to take all of them home with her until they were better. With Mom’s care, all the kittens got better except for Destiny. Her infection became much worse so Mom took her to the vet where they gave here crème to put in her eye. So for the next 3 months Mom would take Destiny along to work with her. Destiny’s brother Clay also came along to keep her entertained. Homes were found for her sisters and even though Destiny was really pretty and affectionate, prospective pawrents would look at her eye and shy away because they were afraid of the future medical procedures she may need on it. Eventually it did improve quite a bit but there is still scar tissue over about a third of her eye, although it doesn’t seem to give her any trouble.
After all this, her Mom decided that is was “destiny” that she was to remain with her along with her brother Clay, ( whom she loves very much). And that is how she got her name. She is very happy at her new furever home and her Mom said that she would never part with her now…
So please cast your COTD votes for this sweet little gal, Destiny # 62594 on Thursday, Jul 1st.

Good morning furrfriend!! Well, mom had another "fox" adventure yesterday!! Dad, grandpaw, mom and I were all in the living room and a fox came to eat the fruit put out for them. Mom decided to go out on the porch and sit and watch her. Usually mom doesnt say a word, but this time she started talking to the fox in a gentle voice telling her what a pretty girl she is etc. Everytime mom would stop talking - the fox would start to "bark" and "yip" back at mom. The "conversation" lasted a few minutes and dad and grandpaw were inside laughing. Later mom went outside cause one of the kits was out alone walking along the tree line. He stopped to look at mom and then momma fox came out and got him. Anyway, one of the anchorpersons from the news station was telling how the foxes and bobcats are showing up more in Citrus county (which is where we live) This area has a state forest and lots of wooded neighborhoods. Guess what? mom and I saw 4 kits yesterday and mom grabbed grandpaws camera - it was the closest and got pictures. In a couple days we will post them. Mom said that it is a new mamma fox too - her markings are different. Anyway the four were playing in the yard and mom and I were laughing at them. They were soooo precious! The gopher tortoise was out and one of the kits was pouncing on it. My mom thinks that its such a blessing to look out the window as she is online and see all of the wildlife. Anyway its still very hot here - 100s heat index and we get lots of loud thunderstorms in the afternoons. Well, have a purrfect afternoon - steamy headbonks from florida xxxxx

Hi furrfriend, just a quick paw in this monday!! Mom and I were busy working on my dear furriend Mrs Pennypackers catpaign!! Could you go visit her and paw her a vote - her page # is 108331. Anyway, it was really hot this weekend again so my pawrents went to Juniper Springs on caturday. Yesterday morning the kits came out and frolicked in the yard for a little bit and dad and grandpaw finally got to see them. Then in the afternoon we got some pretty loud thunderstorms! Good meowning furrfriend. I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend and that all of the dear fathers out there had a safe and special day. We got slammed with thunderstorms off and on all weekend long!! So my pawrents didnt do much but they did go to visit dads family yesterday for Fathers day and also on caturday moms sister was down from Texas!! Her neice is in volleyball and the tourny was in Orlando so moms sister drove here to visit for awhile and everyone went out to eat - (not me I stayed home) Anyway I wont be on until thursday. Mom has to take grandpaw up to Gainesville for his yearly colonoscopy and since the prcedure is in the afternoon they are spending the night. I will try to get on to vote on wednesday though. Anyway, I will meow back then - have a wonderfurral week and please keep my grandpaw in your prayers that the cancer is still gone!! Good meowning furrfriend! Its still hot and humid here in florida. There are isolated thunderstorms but they keep missing us although we get the loud thunderboomers and lightning. Yesterday the heat index for Crystal River Fl which is about 25 minutes away was 110. Mom went to the beach to cool off. We have a small gulf beach and so far there are no tar balls. Its a quiet beach - mostly the locals, and mom just spent a couple hours floating in the water and she has a nice tan now. She said that it was funny cause noone was swimming just laying in the water complaining about the weather. I of course stayed home in the air conditioning taking my catnap. Other than that there is nothing going on - too hot!! It has not been this hot since my pawrents have lived here. Anyway have a furrtastic day - lots of kissies and pawhugs

Well, I was a naughty kitty yesterday!! Mom was watching TV and saw me chasing something and didnt think anything of it until she saw me with something handing from my mouth. A froggie got in somehow and I hunted it down and got it!! And mom chased me all over the house to take it away from me. When she cornered me under the table I started growling at her and she grabbed me and put her finger in my mouth to open it. SHE TOOK MY FROGGIE AWAY!! Well, after that episode I did a DIVA face and mom told me that it wont work this time. She threw the froggie outside in the bushes!!! Anyway, Im having my own pity pawty right now - meow back at ya later!! hehehe!! Have a wonderfurral day filled with sunshine and happy purrs!!!

Hey furrfriend, my mom is melting!! hehehehe!! Just kiddin, but its how mom feels when she goes outside. Our heat index in this area for the past couple days has been around 106. Its very hot and muggy. My pawrents spent most of the day caturday at Daytona Beach (its only a couple hours away). Mom said that the water was lovely and with the economy the way it is - its wasnt crowded at all. She remembers going there where there were no parking areas available on the beach and they would drive for awhile looking to park. Mom and dad like Sarasota beach the best but sometimes they like to go to the Atlantic side and visit different beaches - different scenerys and Daytona is only 1 hwy. there - 40 straight across from us through the Ocala National Forest. I stayed home in the air conditioning where I belong!! Anyway, have a catastic monday - purrs and pawhugs

Thanks for the compliment on my pictures!! The fox pictures are of a family that lives on our property and we see them every day. The bottom 3 pictures are of the new fox kits(babies) they just made their furrst appearance the other day and mom and I watch them frolic from the window!!
