Want to know why her name is Splash? Well, you can’t tell by looking at her picture!
But when you see her close up, her pretty white fur is splashed all over with little black dots and some very interesting designs! Splash was a tiny little kitten, just waiting at the shelter when her forever family saw her for the first time! When they stroked her fur, it felt just like velvet. They knew she was the one and couldn’t leave without her! She has brought so much joy to the family! Splash loves to run and jump and chase laser lights up and down the walls, and all around....she’s a real bundle of energy! Hi Chance
Thankyou to all my Furry Friends for my COTD
I'm speechless! Ok everyone, stop your heckling. I know you all know that is not quite true. I just can't seem to keep from howling and meowing all night long. And I know some of you already know a CAS worker tried to put me in foster care bc she had complaints of a child being left alone at night. Wasn't she surprised to see a grumpy old man. Mol. I am just really overwhelmed and grateful. I really am so honoured to be nominated for the COTD award and even happier to have won the COTD award. I would like to thank everyone who voted, nominated and campaigned for me. I hope I may live to enjoy many more birthdays in the years ahead. I know that is wishful thinking on my my part but don't you laugh at this old cat, I've already surprised my vet and my family. Keeping a positive attitude is good for the souls (9 lives!) Mol. I've had such a wonderful time here on the CC and met so many wonderful and loving families. We are so lucky to have such amazing big hearted humans to love and care for us, as well as, have a place to go to share each others stories and help one another. Thanks for all your thoughtful gifts and kind words. I have so many gifts that I think I may donate some of them to the Humane Society in honour of the Cat Channel for making this day possible.
Once again, Thankyou to all Cat Friends, Cat Angels, Catlovers, Cat Rescuers, Cat Campaigners, Cat Experts, Cat Board of Education and Cat Channel!

First off, I have to appologise for my buddy, I won Cat Of The Day over a week ago and my budddy hasn't thank anyone yet. So, I got together with my earthly brother Mufasa and Mufasa convinced my buddy he needed to take time and thank all the wonderful CC kitties that voted for me.
We had a wonderful time celebrating by birthday here on the rainbow bridge on July 16th. We cloud jumped, and chased butterflies and had a wonderful pawrty. The day ended much too quickly. My only regret was that my buddy and Mufasa could not help me celebrate. But, I'm sure they celebrated in their own way. Thanks once again for my Angel Cat Of The Day. My paws haven’t touched the ground since I found out I was both your Patriotic COTD & RCOTD. Yesterday, we celebrated our nation's freedom and honored the courageous Military men & woman dedicated to preserving it. For me, I was able to honor my special person, my sister Samantha! I am so excited and honored! I also want to thank all kitties from the bottom of my heart for the birthday, Cat of The Day and Cat Rescure of The Day wishes and votes. This was a big surpise to me. I had a GREAT day with all my new toys. Pawing you a vote.
My Mom made me Cat Chow Cookies and I am pawing you some.
Cat Chow Cookies
1 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup soy flour
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup powdered milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons wheat germ
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon organic catnip
1. Preheat oven to 350'F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, together all the ingredients.
3. Lightly flour a rolling pin. Roll out the batter on a greased cookie sheet.
4. Cut into half-pieces.
5. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
6. Allow to cool before serving. Store the leftovers in an airtight container in a cool place.
Make 6 to 8 Servings

If a trip to the Grand Canyon skywalk ...

It's nice to meet you and thanks for the compliment on my picture! Thanks for coming by with congrats for winning my COTD badge, Friday. I really appreciate all the votes and well wishes and I am so proud of that badge! Now, I am not the only one in the family, (that's on CC) who doesn't have one. Yipee! I had a great day and I'm still basking in the limelight...MOL.

WOW!!! WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
Thank you so much for my second COTD Award. Mom's computer was in for repairs when this happened, so we did not know about it until a few days later ... and then we still had to wait for repairs to be completed. SO ... rather than explain myself further for the delay, I will say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for this honor. Many who voted for me were already dear friends; the rest of you are about to become dear friends, I hope. The pile of gifts ... toys, treats, and girlie treats ... is so big, we may need to build an addition on the house to hold it all. Mom ate anything that was chocolate, but I'm guarding with tooth and claw everything else. Hope you'll excuse the cut-and-paste; the list is so wonderfully long, I'll be on all day getting my thank you's done. After that, it's anything goes, so watch for upcoming invitations to hop on my little pink plane for a special trip. Purrs and whisker tickles, Cherish ... =^..^= ... Dear Chance and Family,
My heart may be brusied,
and the tears they do flow;
becouse I had to let,
my beautiful Meanie go.
Many friends here I do have,
and most of them know
how terribly hard it is
to let a precious fur-baby go.
Before CC sorrow was lonely,
tears in silence,for no one cared.
Now I am wrapped in love and comfort,
that can only come from sorrow shared.

I am so very honored to be your St. Patrick's Day COTD. I promise to represent you all with as much dignity as this Irish lad can muster, which is not what the younger sibs expect of me. So, instead, let's let down our hair and have a fur-raising day of it all over CC, while continuing to pray for our ill friends, ill catmoms and everyone in japan.
I have a SECRET that only we cats can see, not our moms and dads. Look closely at your blogs today and you will see that the leprechauns have made the print a grand and glorious KELLY GREEN!! And, if someone says there are no such thing as leprechauns, just look at Mom's bumper sticker on her car, in the photo in my album!! They are REAL!!
In gratitude, I am leaving each of you with a small bag of live shamrocks directly from Ireland and a clump of peat from the "old sod" to toss in your fire. It will warm the toes of you who are in chilly weather. Of course, I leave you with an Irish Blessing:

Hi Chance and family!
On behalf of Tobias, I am coming by to thank you for your visit on 1/26 with congratulations for his COTD win. Your prayers and words of encoragement are deeply appreciated by our family. As of 1/29, his FeLV immunoassy wasn't back from IDEXX yet. It didn't get drawn until Fri because a vet had to get it by jugular stick. Despite daily fluids, he still didn't have enough volume for them to get it periherally. So it looks like it will be Monday before we have an answer. They have him on an appetite stimulant, and an antidepressant. He is still only nibbling at food. And now he is ghting them when they go to give him fluids, so they didn't give them yesterday. Mom is going back today to visit with him anbd is bringing him some of his favorite food: Fancy Feast Elegant Traditions chicken in gravy florentine. Mom is hoping he will eat it all. He gave her a whispered purr yesterday. After being cautioned about giving us the FeLV vaccine, due to it causing cancer itself, mom has made the difficult decision to not bring him home and vaccinate us if he is + on his blood test. She does not want to risk putting us at risk. So for now, we are praying he is negative. We have his new bed and a pressure reducing cusion waiting at home fere for him. If he is negative, then mom will bring him home on Fri when he finishes his meds. Thank you again for your prayers and concern for Tobias. Purrs and kitty kisses. Namaste.
