Hi! My name is Bella
I am Domestic Shorthair from Santa Ana, CA
Nicknames: Tinkerbell, Izzykitty
Age: 3 years old
Coat: short haired
Education: I am unsure how we found her but a kid came to the door about a child who had said she couldn't have the kitten (stray) and she scratched the girl while outside and ran. The kids chased her and when my husband found her she was meowing up in the front of end of a parked car in Orange County, California where we live.
Bella is still on the decision fence as I may experience unemployment benefits after June 1st, I was set till December now everything is looking bleak. I plan to have her spayed if I do offer her for adoption and fully vaccinated. I am letting her gain weight, she should be at least 10 weeks now so in about 6 weeks I will offer. Hands down she is a family pick.
She had a moment where she jumped on the couch and my husband went to pet her. She became startled immediently and he told me he was holding her on the couch pressing her down, afraid she might scratch. Since I haven't used gloves she hasn't scratched, not once, and she is slowly stopping her vocal wine when we pick her up.
My favorite tricks and treats are: No right now she just squeaks a lot when picked up. and She eats everything very quickly, we're letting her just snack all day. She is very bony and skinny, but even in 1 week has evened out. I have yet to deworm her, since I'm going to do it when I do the other cats.
Where I hang out: Front part of our home on the highest level of the cat tree.
She likes to run in my big closet behind the containers so we put a cat bed in there and she has no problems, Rex her buddy likes it too.
My favorite grubs: Science Diet Kitten (canned and dried)
My pet peeves: She is still very afraid of us picking her up, but my husband has done an awesome job with her. She lays on his lap but still is very afraid when we pick her up. She doesn't try to claw us, just meows very gentle and pitiful.
One day my husband scared her and she freaked out, he held her until she calmed down. She didn't scratch or bite but was just trying to flee very rapidly. I think the worms were hurting her because she was sensitive. Its been about 7 days and she is fattening up nice. But for about 3 days she wouldn't go near my husband, in fact she got Mickey, my big boy, very protective for her. He actually growled at my husband too, they didn't bite but my husband picked Mickey up and he was fine. Bella ran behind the stove, I blocked off the kitchen and she stays in the tree which forced her to forgive my husband. He pet her and finally she calmed down and even ate out of his hand. She was mad about it though and it took 3 days to bring her back.
What I love about my owners: I'm thinking its kind of nice to sleep at the foot of the bed, not ready to get too close yet.
My cat hobbies: Sleep on the highest cup of the cat tree, should could barely jump the next day she was at our house.
Pet motto: Meow.
