Hi Precious Curly Sue!
Several weeks ago, Dad came in and told Mom she needed to see our newest family member while it was sunbathing on the rocks around our Koi pond. Mom went out and got a quick look at the tiny, baby turtle before it slipped under the water. It wasn't much larger than a quarter, and we don't have a clue how it found our little Koi pond that's right under our living room window. Now it's grown to the size of a large grapefruit and we kitties are aware of it. It's thriving on our Hikari Gold Koi Fish Food, MOL! We watch it crawl out of the water to sunbathe on the rocks. It will stretch its neck and legs and swing its head from side to side, always watching for predators. When we kitties get too excited it will see our movements in the window and dive in the water. No one knows what's going to happen when the weather turns very cold. Will it stay in the heated pond? Will it leave to go hibernate somewhere? If it leaves, can it find its way back?
