Vote COTD Wed June 23 for BUTTERSCOTCH #161037
Ah Birdsboro! What a lovely name for a town and home of the PA Pawsee. Yes sir, in that small PA burgh lives a family of hockey playing cats-Max, Chloe & Snowball of the Fierce Felines, Robby & Roo of Kelsee's Cool Cats, Buddy of whatever team will take him, and their newest addition sweet BUTTERSCOTCH, destined to be a goalie for Orange Crush, the 2010 Scamper Cup winners. This 10 year old sweetie was left at the Animal Rescue league shelter for the usual dumb reason (s). Pick any one, and kitten season was approaching. Talk about competition! An email was sent out to all former adopters and volunteers to find a home for this lovely lady. Blogger Dad Ron made the call and BUTTERSCOTCH found herself a new family. The vet thanked the Pawsee family for sending his granddaughter to college as BUTTERSCOTCH got sick at the shelter, but is now well and adjusting to a new routine.

This handsome guy was one of 6 in a litter of two-week-old abandoned kittens. His future family took them all in, nursed them back to health and kept Stripey and one of his littermates. Stripey is a very good jumper who just loves playing with the laser light. His favorite foods are Friskies soft food and Meow Mix Indoor formula. Tick….Tock….Tick…Tock….I’ve been watching the clock and looking for my picture in the winner’s box.
Woohoo…I got my badge! I’m so very excited that I’ve earned my badge; let the pawty begin! Felix has been after me to reveal the menu and I can tell you about a few items…. Of course, we’ll be starting with the catpetizers and I’ve made some Chinchilla Squares (quite delectable)….We’ll have some Toad and Frogmore stew, Scalloped Baby Lizard legs with gravy, Catbird Corn Cakes, 23 Pizzas from Winston’s Pizzaria (surprise toppings), and Felix has created a new delightful drink…Meow Thai. He’ll still be mixing the ole stand-by drinks…Kitten Coladas, Tunatinis, Mousetinis and Rattinis. Finster is bringing the Catnip wine and Catnip beer…meowellous vintage! As always, we’ve turned to Spongie for his incredible mice cream. The flavor of the day is Ratty Raspberry Micecream with toasted Grasshopper Sprinkles. Surely, not even YOU can turn down this kind of spread.
The Kool Kats have set up their instruments on the stage in the back yard and will be playing their tunes shortly. Please come by for some kibble and some refreshing ‘tinis. See ya soon…and as always…I couldn’t have earned my badge without your help. Thanks again.
