How We Met

My mother approached me about adopting a cat. I told her I couldn't afford it. She said it was taken care of. I asked, how? Our neighbor who passed away in a nursing home had left a savings in his account for his cat to be taken care of for when he passed away. The Executor of that account brought my cat by so we could be introduced and I fell in love with him immediately. It took awhile (2 months) before my cat would show affection as he was still in mourning with his 1st owner. He would hiss and growl at me in the beginning. Unfortunatly it took some tough love to get him to butter up to me. Then I finally had his heart. Before the 1st owner went into the nursing home, the cat would stray onto our property and lay on my dad's pickup. I walked out one night and unintentially startled the cat and as he started to run off, we both looked at each other for 10 seconds and when I tried to get him to come to me by saying "Here kitty kitty", he ran off. I thought what a beautiful cat. Needless to say, I never thought he would be mine a year later.
