How We Met

Recently, I have started working at my local animal shelter after adopting my third kitty (Cali) from there. It was kitten season when i first meet Nikki. She was brought in with her sister after being spotted in a shed. People were coming in to look at the kittens and then one family looked at Nikki and her sister. Ultimately they decided to take her sister instead of Nikki. However, what the woman said will stick with me. She said, "I don't think i could get use to that face." I was shocked that someone would say that about such a cute kitten. About a month later Nikki was still at the shelter and i thought, this isn't right. I also knew the quicker i got her out of there the better. Around this time she has been in a cage for 3 months and i felt the longer she stayed the less likely someone would adopt her in the future. So, i said, she's ador...excuse me acatable and took her home. Now she has a big room all to herself and three older siblings to annoy.
