Hi dear Kokomo and family
I had a wonderful birthday on 17 April. In addition to my new enclosure, I got a new toy, a brightly coloured jingly ball, and chicken to eat. And all the good wishes of my furiends, and the gifts, made it really special.
And then it was followed by COTD, and another day of celebration! Thanks a lot for wishing me and voting for me.

1/16/13 Wednesday--- Mid-Week, Mid-Month !
Barney here and our Catpaign is half over! Can you believe? Plus 26 degrees this morning here in Minnesota. The weather guesser says its up and then down to the deep freeze! I've hardly started talking about my current family. All the excitement and celebration the last couple days with Zeus's COTD yesterday! Wow! Now he is sleeping in like a baby. Not a peep yet this morning. If we missed anyone saying thank you for votes, shame on us. You are all precious to us and we are thankful to all. We do want to say Good Morning and Catgrat Fuzzy on his COTD today. May he have as wild and crazy a day today as Zeus did yesterday--- make it happen friends! Today its open, which means tomorrow is a surprise--- ???

Well, we talked about our foster? bro Zeus for a good two days. Today I want to talk about the lady of the house and not mom. Our sister Molly Jean runs the show. She came in as a foster just a bit after I did. I read on her page, mom said I used to give her the evil eye and pick on her-- don't remember that at all! Molly lived a hard life on the streets of Minneapolis. She was probably someone's cute kitten, who was kicked out of the house or let go when she reached the age of puberty/her first heat. People in her neighborhood reported to rescuers that she was living under a porch and had had several litters of kittens, who did not survive. She was still under the porch, it was winter, she looked pregnant and the landlord wanted her gone.
The investigator from mom's group was worried that she might come to a bad end and called to see if we had room, which we did.

Molly had kittens, but they died just after birth. She had a lot of parasites and was malnourished. Mom even waited a bit on her big girl surgery, because she needed to gain some health. The tips of her ears were frostbit.

Well, obviously Molly's life was all uphill from here, but we will have to wait til tomorrow to finish the story. We will tell how she went from an abused street cat to a loving therapy cat, giving back many times to those, who rescued her.

Today, we remember Jim Croce
Jim Croce (1/10/43 – 9/20/73)wrote the "Time in a Bottle" after his wife Ingrid told him she was pregnant with his son. He had finished recording the album just over a week before his death. The plane crashed about an hour after the end of the concert.
The posthumous release included hit: "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song". He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990.

The song's lyrics, dealing with immortality and the wish to have more time, came across as if he had had a premonition of his untimely death. Imagine having the power to pause or manage time.

Thank You all so much for my COTD. What a surprise. I'm very Honored. Wow what a Birthday, before dad took the car in to be serviced. I got my car ride. Mom n dad took me to the pond, in the park. I got to play with Frogs, and even seen a opulent Lizards. Boy those Lizards are fast. I seen a cat, and wanted to mean him are her. But he are she was very afraid. So mom would let me play with him. I even got a whole Potato Chip. I just love them and mom doesn't let me have one very often. Everyone wants me. But mom tells them oh no not My Harley he's my God Scent Kitty. Mom tells everyone and I'm sure you all heard how mom got me. But mom said that was crying very hard off Angel Duffy, and she was on her way home. And she drove way passed her house. When she stopped at the stop light she looked up and there was the Cottonville HS. Mom thought that it was a sign. And mom had told dad that long before Angel Duffy passed. That her next cat would come from the HS and it would be a Siamese Mutt, Blue Point. Dad laughed at her every time she said it. Mom just had to go in it. And she looked at the older cats no Blue Points, so she went a crossed to the kittens, and there were 30 kittens, and I was the very last one she looked at. And the lady that worked there told mom that there were no Blue Points there. But mom new when she seen me she had to have me. And she called dad, and told her God spent her there. That I was mean to be there kitty. That's why mom says I'm a gift from God. And she and dad thank God everyday that they have us Fur Kids. Thank you for coming by on my adoption day.

Hi Kokomo and mom, This is Rainbow. Thanks for your comments and vote, I left a vote for you too. You're way ahead of me with siamese, Rainbow was my first, I had him 21 years and was very heart broken when he passed. He had CRF, we kept him going for about five or six years by changing his food, etc the last year we gave him sub Q fluids, at the end he had a stroke because the toxins built up too much in his body. He was the best cat ever, like Kokomo, he'd know when I was coming home and be waiting for me. I didn't arrive home at the same time every day because I commuted and also worked overtime so he didn't go by the timing, he could sense me getting close. I fell in love with the breed's personality. I love all cats, but can't imagine not having siamese. I volunteer at a wildlife center and we have two black resident cats that I'm crazy about too. But they are not the same as the siamese breed. Got to go now. Talk to you again later, have a nice day Debbie.

Hi Koda, Sorry it has taken me awhile to drop by and visit I hated to here of your big brothers passing. Yes your Mommy is correct I don't have any tail I am half Siamese and half Manx. My Mommy says I'm a pretty good boy most of the time but I do get in trouble when I steal one of her gloves and run off with it. I don't know how the weather is out there now but it is getting cold here. My Mom use to have an Uncle who lived in Pa. until he passed away. I hope the weather doesn't get too bad for you and your family sounds like it may get really nasty out that way with Sandy headed that direction. A Muted Rumble Fills The Air
It’s the low rumbling sound of eleven beautifully painted Harley motorcycles, cruising down the street they’re all heading for The Angel Kokomo’s driveway and pulling in to extend crossing anniversary condolences to their friend Kokomo’s family.
The helmets come off to reveal Zoe Monique, Cyndee, Kuzi, Kiska, Vika, Mallow, Q. Lola, Ammie, Dasher, Talley, and Thunderfoot, all of the Hairballz Rainbow Riders.
On the back of the bikes are flags representing their two lost honorary members, Doodlebug and Yum Yum

they all dismount and in turn, they come forward to present Angel Kokomo’s family with Prayer Cards, and a bouquet of white roses. They bow their heads in a moment of remembrance and they all exchange hugs & purrs with Angel Kokomos’s family then they get back on their bikes to head out to their next destination for the day.
