guess what? it's snowing to the west and north of us today! we're luckier here as we are in a river valley and almost always warmer than most of the rest of the areas around us. janet doesn't mind she can't have sundays off as it's time and a half and holidays are double time plus holiday pay so well worth working! it's raining today, her other day off and cold here 40s and a total of between 4-41/2" of rain since it started tuesday night. janet's off so will be thawing out some pasta soup she froze last month when on a cooking spree! roast turkey maybe tomorrow too!mmmmm it's sure gonna smell good! sandy,ana,haley,angels sports day is wednesday next week. Hi Jo Jo, There was a time when Daddy didn't take being diabetic seriously, now he wishes that he had!! He also, has a brother-in-law with very high blood pressure!! He insists that because he feels alright, he must therefore be alright!! Fortunately he does take his medication, just to make Daddy's sister happy!! Hi JoJo We have had a TON of rain today! We had about an inch, and they are actually starting to toss around the "F" word - "flood". Scared you, didn't I? Haha! Mom loves the rain, and everything is SO green now, since we've had about 3 days of pretty good rain, but it came down in buckets today! Just sheets of non-stop rain. So we'll have to pay attention to the rivers fr a couple of days. Sheesh. First it's hot, then it's cold, now it's rainy, and it might flood. Do we have exciting weather or WHAT! Hi JoJo! Mama keeps lots of microfleece blankets for us to love on. It makes us feel safe until we're ready to get comfort from cuddling mama. Kara still likes to sue hers cos to her it means rescue. Like Kuzi and carriers. Oh yeah, Kuzi says hi. She's kinda mad at me for stealing her friend! But I told her she has Eli and that's fair. He lets her make a heart with his name. You know what? Really I am older to her, but our birthdays make it other way. Vets thought both of us much younger at first cos we starving. But I will be officially 3 in another month. Hooray! Hi JoJo I don't know if I told you, but Mom trapped Josie and had her spayed. Now she has run off. Mom is worried sick. Josie is famous for disappearing for days, but on account of her surgery, mom is anxious. Also the Toms are chasing her. The vet said this is normal, because of her hormone level. A cool, wet & breezy day at NICE H.Q. I had planned on doing some blogging yesterday but my brother Zaboo wasn't feeling well so stayed cuddled on mom's lap almost the entire day. He was a BAD boy that was caught nibbling at Sammie dog's food & anyone that knows Zaboo knows he's not supposed to do that! I say we need to get kitty pawcuffs for him because he can open the dog's kennel,or any door if it doesn't get latched. Needless to say his tummy was upset the whole day & he was also barfy three times. He's doing fine today though & mom made sure the kennel is securely latched so he can't repeat his bad behavior again. What are we going to do with that boy? He's too smart for his own good at times & also stubborn as a mule! I've tried whacking him when I see him getting into things & so has Trixie but he yowls at us & stands up to his full height to show how big & bad he'll become if we continue to harass him! Talk about a brat...MOL!!! I hate it when he feels bad & always snuggle, clean & comfort him because he's my best kitty furiend but he definitely put a kink in my tail when he prevented me from blogging yesterday! Oh well...what's done is done & today is another day! Joseph gets a HUGE paws up from me!! He caught a mouse that was trying to get inside yesterday. Pretty pawsome achievement for a kitty with very limited vision! It was really cute when he was done playing with it too. He carefully carried it to the porch (he'd been playing in the grass) & dropped it, then he climbed up to the window & meowed at mom...MOL! She went outside & loved on him while telling him what a good boy he was then gave him a can of FF as a reward! Gold star day for sweet Jo Jo yesterday!!! Trixie & Fluffernut are being wild & crazy chasing each other, wrestling & boxing today. I just heard Trixie hiss so Fluffers must have made contact...MOL! Our Trixie may be a sweetheart but she's also got a lot of impish behavior & cyclonic action that comes out full force when she & Fluffers start romping! Fluffers is also quite the little imp herself but she's never gotten the best of our calico cyclone & probably never will since Trixie is the queen of chaos..MOL! Zaboo & I are lounging around not doing anything except for an occasional glare at our little sisters. YAWN...it's one of those days so will stop meowing at you now & get back to the serious business of napping...MOL! Hello Jo Jo, They had Daddy on Gloucophage (Metformin) and Junuvia!! His doctor switched him to Janumet (Junuvia and Gloucophage combined) and Starlex!! But he was out of his old meds and the pharmacy was out of his new meds!! And since it was Friday, he had to go 3 days (until Monday) without his meds!! Now nothing seems to be working (not even restricting his diet)!! His next A1C test is supposed to be in July and they will most likely put him in insulin, at that time!! Today we are havimg what can best be described as "rollercoaster" weather!! The temp started out this morning at 59°!! Then it warmed up quickly and by 2pm it was 82°!! Next a line of severe thunderstorms hit and cooled it down to 65°!! It warmed back up to 72°!! Then it dropped back to 69°!! Now it's 73°!! Have a blessed evening!! Hi Jo Jo Thanks for asking about my little paw. It is alright. Them antibiotcis are taking the swelling away and the redness is also gone, but the nail is still protruding, so we know more FRI. We were hot hot hot today, it is still May and we hit 89, can you believe that?? it was also humid, we were under a severe t-storm warning til 8pm, but we only had a 5 minute shower, mom said that was not even enough to water 1 flower, so mom watered her flowers at 8pm when the sun went down. Right now we are watching our game, and we are ahead in the 3rd period, so maybe we will win this and be ahead by 2 games. Our arena is LOUD, you can't hear much of anything except for the fans. The announcers said it is deafening...MOL!!! Mom said she will take a cool shower and drowen herself, she is so hot....she couldn't hang outside with the heat, so she came in and painted her dresser and vanity, but cause of the humidity it is taking forever to dry. Hi JoJo Oh wow, from winter to 101 degrees! I swear, that's about how we were feeling a couple weeks ago. We went from 20's and 30's at night and maybe 60's during the day, to suddenly 95 degrees! Thank goodness that's over for now. We're back to normal temps. 40's and 50's at night, 70's during the day. Mom just wishes we'd have a bit more rain. No real planting here this year, just lots of trimming. Mom has filled several garbage barrels with clippings, and still has a few more to go! Our yard has that "jungle" look to it, and mom didn't do a lot of trimming last year. So this year is it. We all get to sit by the windows and watch. I would LOVE to go out and supervise! Beware of flipped over rugs... I'm giving myself a big paws up because I was the one that caught a mouse this time! I had to growl at my sisters to make sure they left him alone while I played so you can probably imagine the pleading looks on their faces as they were sidelined...MOL! When I was finished with my game I made sure to put the playing piece on mom's rug & flip it over so he was covered & she'd have fun finding her 'gift'. When mom headed in the direction that I'd hidden her special surprise I was right on her heels meowing. She saw the rug, flipped it back & I meowed "purrprise" & rubbed against her legs. Hmmm...I started thinking my lovely gift was not very appreciated because I heard her say "that's gross Patchy" before she called dad to remove it. She did pick me up & tell me that I was a good girl as dad tossed him outside so at least I know my prowess is appreciated, even if the hidden present was not...MOL! My sisters have been jealous so they're on rodent patrol when they're awake plus have been shadowing me everywhere I go. Dream on kitties because the Patchy mouse patrol is now in charge...MOL! Well there's not much else happening yet on this cool, cloudy morning so will paw you a vote & a triple berry muffin so I can head toward a good napping spot. The worst part for her was my temp of 103+ for almost three days, I am a little kitty ya know and can't quit eating for very long. I did give her the best Mom's day present, I ate everything all weekend long!!! Hope your Mom had a Meovalous Mothers Day in her garden , That would have made mine happy too!!! Yesterday was my first adoptiversary!! I'm starting to think that they might actually let me stay!! This is a good thing!!
