Today, Monday, January 16th, is a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King. The MLK Day is a day of Service, and is meant to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, and create solutions to social problems, and help to move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community. Dr. King’s birthday is January 15th. His first name, Martin, was on the Name Day list yesterday.

I’ve been mewsing over the pawsome life stories that you and your pawrents have been sharing. Today I am going to give you a whole pawhug full of reasons why cats are so lovable and beneficial to the health of the human race!
For instance, did you know that there are medical studies that point to the benefits of owning a cat! Of course, we know that nobody really owns us, but we must humor them!
Some of these studies claim that having a cat at home is good for your “owner’s” heart! When they pet us, we create “feel-good” endorphins that help lower their stress, keep their blood pressure at a good level, and actually slow down a racing heart rate! Some studies show that just being in the same room with a kitty kat has been shown to lower blood pressure! We also have a remarkable ability to give comfort in time of sickness and loss.

that's all right this time of the year it gets real hectic.what are your plans for thanksgiving if you want you can come over were having turkey that Dada caught on his hunting trip two pennsylvania he caught two 25 lb turkey's.mama and dada wont be home for thanksgiving they go to new hampshire on their annual christmas shoppig trip but mama sister lynn will be here and she is a good cook I'll have her fix a plate for both of us then we can have catnip cupcakes for dessert. sorry that I have not meowed you in awhile but mama was away at a alley cats convention she is home now.Friday I went to see doc Reynolds to get an update on my shots. I had blood work done a urine sample and had my teeth cleaned.I didn't feel so good on saturday but I feel better today.mama is happy cause all the tests came back negativeCome visit me, lilly.

things are real ouite here with mama away for alley cats dada has been real busy with work on the farm.mama called and said that she went to Tabby's Place which is in new jersey it is a place for specail needs cats they do wonderful work.they have 96 specail needs cats in all mama saw one cat that caught her eye which has fiv like me his name is chopper she wants to sponsor him.hope you had a good weekend at least the weather was good. I get to cuddle in front of the fireplace in my bed so it's not so bad.we live on top of a big mountain so we get a lot more snow than usual.Dada aways makes the fire in the fireplace in the mourning before he heads out to the barn to take feed the cows.have a great day.PURRS LILLYCome visit me, lilly.
