How We Met

there is a little non-profit adoption agency working out of the store i work at so i get to meet a lot of cats and kittens that need homes. i recently put my cat of 8 years asleep due to a neurological disorder that kept her from getting around comfortably. the time was right and i could have asked for a more peaceful goodbye. Thank you to all of you la costa animal hospital for being to sincere and kind :) of course, after a loss one feels the need to fill the emptiness and i got the kitten blues. there was a cat i wanted to adopt named penelope but when i got there, someone else had wanted her to so it was almost a race to fill out the app. the other lady was rude and pushy too! penelope seemed to be hesitant of being touched and picked up and little xanadu crawled right into my arms and then clawed my face lol i fell in love instantly and knew she was the one. the night before, i had had a dream that i went there to get penelope and she was already gone. maybe it was a sign or something? xanadu means "a moment within a dream"
