Education: Bear singlehandedly got rid of our cockroach problem. He's our little hunter!
My favorite tricks and treats are: He comes when he's called, and will "talk" to you and Bear loves people food, especially cheese, though we try not to give it to him so much!
Where I hang out: Wherever people are, that's where Bear wants to be too!
My favorite grubs: He likes to steal food off our dinner plates when he thinks we're not looking!
My pet peeves: He hates having his ears played with.
What I love about my owners: "She saved my life!"
My cat hobbies: He loves to play fetch with one of his catnip balls, and also to sit on the couch next to whoever's watching TV and get petted.

How We Met
I was picking up food for my mouse that I had at the time at the local Petco, and saw the local pound was having kitten adoptions through Petco. There was one kitten that was twice as big as all the others, so I asked "What's wrong with that one?"
"That's Bear," one of the helpers replied. "Nothing's wrong with him, it's just that our black cats don't get adopted as much. He'll probably end up getting put down."
I went over to Bear and started petting him. As soon as I touched his soft fur and saw his grin I knew he was a British Shorthair, the same breed as my childhood cat.
"Wow, he's never taken to anyone like that before!" the pound worker exclaimed.
I knew then I had to have the cat. So I worked twice as much as normal to get the money, buying him a few days before he was scheduled to be euthanised. It was so worth it.
