I thought you might be a muted calico from your pictures. You are very very pretty. I'm kind of a mixture. I'm calico on the face and underside, but I'm a tortie everywhere else except for my hind legs. They are totally orange tabby. Mom says my genes got mixed up but that she's glad because I'm like three cats rolled into one. You bird fiasco sounds interesting. I can't believe you actually caught one. Wow. I'll bet that was exciting for you. Did it taste like chicken?? All I've ever caught was the occasional bug that gets into the house. I had a great time with a fly once, but when I actually killed it, my mom grabbed in up before I could eat it. She said she didn't want me eating "that germy thing". Oh well, it was a fun chase. Hi Hazel. You are really pretty. I love the picture of you in the Santa hat. The one of you in the vase is really cute too. I see you live in CA. I'm from Durham, NC. My mom adopted me from a shelter too. I'm so lucky to have a really nice home - I was in the shelter for 5 weeks. They adopted me when I was 12 weeks old. Now I have a Lhaso Apso dog for a sister, and my dad built a little corner window seat on the screened in porch so I could sit out there on nice days and watch the birds. The porch is attached to the end of the deck so it's up high in the air. Gives me an eye to eye view of the birdies that fly by. I'm not allowed outside or on the deck (mom's afraid I'll fall off - I do get kind of wild sometimes) but I can have the porch whenever I want. Mom taught me how to paw on the glass door to let her know when I want out or in. I use my claws to make a clicking noise on the glass and she comes to my aid. I'm glad you got a good home too, with people who love you. The shelter is the pits, isn't it. I waited so long for my parents, I'm so happy now.
