My favorite tricks and treats are: If you call looking "high" all the time a trick! I think they're on to my secret catnip stash! and Temptations by Whiskas in the blue bag! YUMMMMMMMM
Where I hang out: Anywhere I please, but especially on my daddy's lap. I'm a 'daddy's boy totally!!!
My favorite grubs: TREATS!!!! I like Temptations by Whiskas in the blue bag!
My pet peeves: Not having treats!
What I love about my owners: That they take really good care of me! Even when I had to have an operation! My sister died of Cardiomyopathy a few years ago! I miss her!
But,I LOVE being an indoor kitty & the way I get special treatment...I'm soooo spoiled & they know it...and I say that's the way it SHOULD be! MOL
My cat hobbies: Come out & sit on daddy's lap & watch the Hockey game. I like the Pittsburgh Penguins!

THO I WAS CALLED AWAY AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 6, PLEASE KNOW THAT SHARING THOSE YEARS WITH YOU HAVE BEEN THE MOST WONDERFUL, HAPPY, FUN AND FULFILLING YEARS ANY KITTY WOULD BE BLESSED TO HAVE HAD.
I WILL BE EVER GRATEFUL FOR YOU OPENING YOUR HEARTS & SHARING YOUR HOME WITH ME! EVEN THO YOU DIDN’T HAVE ALOT OF MONEY, YOU MADE SURE I HAD THE BEST MEDICAL CARE FROM THE BEST KITTY DOCTOR AROUND! NOT TO MENTION ALWAYS HAVING MY FAVORITE TREATS FOR ME TO ENJOY!
YOU TREATED ME AS THEY DID BACK IN ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TIMES...MAKING ME FEEL AS IF I WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT & SPECIAL PART OF YOUR FAMILY!
EVEN THO I SHARED YOUR HOME W/SEVERAL OTHER KITTIES OF ALL AGES AS WELL AS OUR BIG DOGGIE PAL-ONYXX, WHO SADLY PASSED AWAY ONLY 5 MONTHS BEFORE ME, YOU TREATED US ALL WITH THE UTMOST COMPASSION & LOVE, AND WITH SO MUCH ATTENTION THAT NONE OF US EVER FELT SLIGHTED OR IGNORED.
YOU HAVE BEEN A GODSENT TO US ALL, HAVING RESCUED EACH OF US FROM A FATE I CARE NOT TO THINK ABOUT!
IF EVER THERE WAS AN ANIMAL IN NEED, YOU TOOK THEM INTO YOUR HOME WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT & MADE SURE WE HAD ANYTHING & EVERYTHING WE COULD POSSIBLY NEED OR WANT!
DO NOT THINK OF ME AS BEING GONE, FOR I AM STILL WITH YOU AND WATCHING OVER YOU AS YOU SO FAITHFULLY DID FOR ME!

How We Met
>>> UPDATE ON CHUMLEY <<<
SADLY, OUR SWEET BOY PASSED AWAY ON 5/19/11 @ 1:26pm BUT NOT W/O A BRAVE BATTLE. THE PRIOR EVENING, HE HAD TROUBLE BREATHING & WAS RUSHED TO HIS VET & WHILE WAITING FOR HIM ARRIVE, HE WENT INTO CARDIAC ARREST. MY HUSBAND PERFORMED CPR ON HIM TIL VET SHOWED UP, THEN WAS SCOOPED UP & RUSHED INSIDE WHERE HE HAD TO BE DEFIBRILLATED. HE WAS BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE & STAYED THE NIGHT.
ALL VITALS WERE STRONG AND HE MADE WHAT SEEMED TO BE A COMPLETE RECOVERY. I BROUGHT HIM HOME THE NEXT MORNING & IF HE WAS NOT WELL ENOUGH,(OUR VET WOULD NOT HAVE RELEASED HIM IF THERE WAS EVEN A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RELAPSE!!) HE'S THE BEST VET WE'VE EVER KNOWN & HE GENUINELY CARES!!!!!
ABOUT 1 ½ HOURS OF BEING HOME, HE STARTED TO HAVE THE SAME BREATHING ISSUES & I ADMINISTERED THE RESCUE INJ.~(dexametha- sone, which is a steroid to reduce any inflammation in his lungs)~ GIVEN TO ME BY OUR VET. I RUSHED HIM BACK TO THE VET & WITH ONLY 5 MIN. FROM VET, HE CODED ONCE AGAIN,HE LET OUT A FEW BLOOD-CURDLING "MEOOORRRWWWSS" & FOAM STARTED COMING FROM HIS MOUTH!!! I DROVE LIKE A BAT-OUTTA-HELL WHILE PERFORMING CPR ON HIM--HOLDING HIS BUTT IN MY LAP, LEANING HIM ON THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE HOLDING HIM UP UNDER HIS 'ARMS',ALL WHILE DOING CHEST COMPRESSIONS ON HIS SIDES & DGIVING HIM MOUTH-TO-MOUTH. ..ALL WHILE STEERING WITH MY KNEE!!
UPON ARRIVAL @ THE VET...HE STILL HAD NO PULSE-BUT HIS PUPILS WEREN'T DILATED YET SO HE WAS RECEIVING OXYGEN TO HIS BRAIN! THIS TIME HE WAS NOT TO RETURN.
HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD @ 1:26 PM. I WATCHED AS IS TONGUE TURNED BLUE & HIS EYES SLOWLY FILLED WITH HIS PUPILS-GETTING BLACKER & BLACKER. I TRIED OTHER THINGS LIKE A 'CARDIAC THUMP' AS A LAST-RESORT WHICH WILL SOMETIMES RESTART THE HEART BUT NOTHING HELPED!! I CRIED FRANTICALLY WHILE TELLING HIM, "NO NO NO-DON'T YOU DIE ON ME CHUMLEY, YOU CAN'T DIE BUBBA!!" I FELT LIKE I LET HIM DOWN! BUT I DID EVERYTHING I COULD!!!
WE SIMPLY CAN’T BELIEVE HE IS REALLY GONE!
WE MISS OUR LITTLE BOY SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!
Chumley was THE MOST UNIQUE kitty we've ever known & his spirit, enthusiasm & zest for life will live on forever in our hearts, soul & the many fond memories we have of our beloved boy!
WE MISS YA, BUDDY!!! THIS HOUSE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT YA!!!!! REST IN PEACE LITTLE ONE!

We live in Santa Cruz, CA, on the CA Coast 75 miles South of San Francisco and would like to be your furiends. We live just on the edge of the city, near a big gully that comes down from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Our Mom is our warden, keeps us indoors, as we have lots of wildlife outside. Mom doesn’t mind the deer, skunks (except for the smell - pee-U!) or ‘possum, doesn't want a raccoon, fox or coyote to snack on us. We tend to agree!
Maggie is all black and her son Yogi is all grey. Tipper is a pretty grey & white Tuxedo Kitty. Maggie has received COTD honors. Tipper & Yogi are now hoping that we’ll be COTD some day, just like you, Super Kitty!!Come visit me, Yogi, Maggie & Tipper.

Very sorry we missed stopping by yesterday to say:
Stopping for the two year anniversary of your crossing date with prayers and comfort to your family. You will always be in the hearts and memories of all your family & friends. Moms don't forget. Mom recently observed the 20 year crossing anniversary for her first kitty. She has pictures of Angel Rex at home and at work. He was very special to Mom as I know you were to your family. Congratulations on getting your ACOTD badge today it looks great on you. I heard that all the angels are planning a big celebration in your honor. My Mom knows how hard it is when you lose a fur baby. I have been an angel two years now and she thinks of me everyday and still misses me. I try to make her know I am still with her but she misses the hugs and purrs that I used to give her. She always says I was the kitty she always wanted and if truth be know she was the Mom I always wanted. Leaving you a big box of catnip frosted cupcakes to share and enjoy.
