Nicknames: Favorite right now is HUNEEE (I an mom's honey-pie)--Whe- n I was younger it was "Twinkie"-- Another nickname: "Lizzie Wiggle-Bottom" because of how cute I look from behind! BUT I don't answer to any unless I feel like it, of course.
Age: 2 years old

Coat: short haired
Education: She has 6-7 toes on each paw. A tiny thumb on top of her big thumbs. Even at 4 months old she could hold a teaspoon with wet cat food on it between her thumb and toes. She could turn it over to lick food on the other side. Use of tools at 4 months= high feline I.Q.
My favorite tricks and treats are: Gracie T-t has shown an early interest in research into the natural sciences. Her first experiments were into the source of water. Recently it has been the healing power of SMOOCHES. In summer it was the nature of flight in insects. She seems to eat all of her subjects before her studies are complete though. During winter she conducted a Sleep study-- you can see her on her Research Only page.
She's know as the Little Snot by the other cats.
She has a little 'attitude' and says to the other cats
"I'm smarter than anyone else in the house-- feline or human."

Here's how I found my mom and the Budd's house
Dona from the Little Mews Cat Rescue & Foundling Home in our village brought me to my new home when I was 4 months old. It was love at first cuddle, but I still slept in the cat carrier for a few nights...
Early in 2012 after taking three family votes ( PD Bud resisted and wanted me to be sent back to the Foundling Home), I was finally voted into the Budd family, to be furever known as Gracie Twinkle-toes Budd . And that is how I became the owner of this family.

A Word With Whiskers – May 18
Heaven Is...

A man was riding his horse down a road, cat in his arms & his dog by their side. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, & that his horse, cat & dog had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them. After a while, they came to a high, white stonewall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, was a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. Standing before it, he saw a magnificent gate in the arch, made from mother of pearl, & the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He nudged the horse toward the gate, & as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk. Once close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"
"This is heaven, sir," the man answered.
"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, & I'll have some ice water brought right up."
The man gestured, & the gate began to open. "Can my furiends," gesturing downward towards his horse, cat & dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked. "I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept animals."
The man thought a moment & then turned his horse & dog back toward the road, cat in his arms & continued the way he had been going. At the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road which led through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree & reading a book. "Excuse me!" he called to the reader. "Do you have any water?"
"Sure, there's a pump over there" The man pointed to a place that couldn't be seen from outside the gate. "Come on in."
"How about my furiends here?" the traveler asked.
"There should be a bowl & a bucket by the pump."
They went through the gate, & sure enough, there was an old hand pump with a bowl & a bucket beside it. The traveler filled the bowl & took a long drink himself, then gave some to his cat & dog while he filled the bucket for his horse. When they all were satisfied, he led his furiends back toward the man who was standing by the tree waiting for them.
"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.
"This is heaven," was the answer.
"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was heaven, too."
"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street & pearly gates? Nope. That's hell."
"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"
"No. I can see how you might think so, but we're just happy that they screen out the folks who’d leave their best furiends behind."

i LOVE the idea of a Spring Spa Treatment..you are soo wonderful..and what a gift! lia doesn't sleep as much as i and i know she will enjoy those little shrimp..and, she isn't as old as me either..but wait..i'm mot OLD..did i just say that?i've been trying to remind myself of that all day..teehee..

A Word With Whiskers – May 17

I’ll never be sure if it was wisdom or folly that struck that day, but I would think a little of both. We had been happily living with one cat for a couple of years, a fairly large black-&-white English Shorthair named Smedley. It was time for his annual exam & shots, so off we went to our local veterinarian’s office, puss in hand, or actually wrapped like up like an Egyptian mummy to save us from his dreaded claws.
“Ah!” Doc Pete said, with a twinkle in his eyes. “I’m glad you dropped in. I have a kitten out back that needs a home & I thought of you!”
Before I could stop him, his assistant brought out the tiniest marmalade tabby, weighing just over a pound, with a cast on his left front leg. He put him in my arms, looked up at me & said, “So what do you think?”
They say a sucker is born every minute & that was my minute. We took one look at the poor little thing & then at each other & we were done for. We found out that someone had broken his leg & tried to drown him in the nearest canal. A Good Samaritan had rescued him & brought him to the vet’s office.
“How will they get along?” I asked. “How do we go about introducing them to each other?”
“Oh, that’s no problem,” he said. “You just put him in a carrier, take him home, leave the carrier open & let Smedley think he is rescuing the kitten.”
Well, it sounded good. As per instruction, once we got home, we left the kitten in the carrier in the middle of the room. Then we sat back to watch. Smedley circled the box & growled deeper than I had ever heard him before. The kitten mewed plaintively while sticking a paw out of the holes in the side of the carrier. After about an hour, we decided to open the top of the carrier a little wider. Smedley walked up to the top, looked inside & was rewarded by a lightning strike from a small orange paw.
That was the last we saw of him that evening. I was convinced that the next morning would find us back at the vet’s office returning the little tyke. However, the next morning, we were in for a surprise. As I got up to put on the coffee, I saw the two of them curled up together on the sofa as if they were one cat with two smiling faces. From then on, Smedley watched over the little one as if he had given birth to him, and they went everywhere together.
Doc Pete was right!

After careful thought and ponderances, here is my response to your karmic kitty kwiz:
1) Kittens come from the Easter bunny, who leaves them with unsuspecting human children, in the guise of crocodile eggs.
2) I came from across the street. VERY awake!
3) When I'm all done living here I'm moving to a nice split level with a pool, in Vermont somewhere.

not to worry..that furless kitten is not going to get my beauty spot..i never get close enuf..i always always stay up high on my perch and watch sammy run around like crazy trying to get away from her..teehee...as long as he gives sammy treats, he's always clsoe by..silly boy..
ohh..a research study? and treats? gosh..hmm..let me think about answering those questions..
1..i don't know..one minute i wasn't there and the next..there i was at the farm..

3..are you trying to confuse me?
at least you knew which window to run to to get your mom to open the window for you...i'm glad you got to stay out and play a bit longer..but..gosh, aren't you afraid of the dark? gosh..i ahve never been out after dark..and i'm not sure i want to be either..since i'm mostly black..mom would never see me..and i don't want to be outside when it's cold and rainy..
our snow melted almsot as fast as it came down last week..good thing, since mom said she wasn't going to shovel anymore..teehee..

Bet that video was interesting. Mom is going to be into it soon. She wants to get the pictures printed. She has ordered a printer and it should be here Monday. Now lets hope she can set it up. The Dell's are easy, but this is an Epson and she is not familiar with it. Josie keeps moving the kittens around. Mom tries to feed them and no kittens. I think you missed a leaf or two gardening
So,another research project GTt??? Ok here goes...and keep an open mind:
1. Where do kittens come from? Kittens are found under trees,or under cabbage leaves,thus the reason we all experience bubble gut.
2. Where did you come from? A pine tree! Gma wishes she had given birth to me the human way...I just know it,so humor her here please.
3. Where are you going when you are all done living here? What! I'm going to die!!!!! I have at least 7 more lives left!!! OMG!!!!!! I'm gonna die!!!!!!!! Well,when I do decide(and it WILL be MY decision)I think my spirit will gracefully float towards Hawaii. Yeah...I think its the gravitational pull or something.

Of course kittens come from under the house. I heard I came from a laundry room, but I don't remember. Mom wants to do something about that kitten maker. The new kittens have just come from under the house. Mom will get pictures when she can. Or did you mean the 2nd litter? They are in the house. Sweetest, most lovable critters you can imagine. Mom would like to find homes for everybody but me and J.C., bu so far, no luck. Mom is extremely particular about cat homes. I'm soooo sorry, but with all these cats around, I have not been able to put away any mice. I think somebody has eaten the factories. I told them not to do that, but they just don't listen. Hey Gracie!
I'm loving that it's finally Spring, and I can get outside more (under supervision, of course!). The other day I caught a nice vole, and brought it home to play with in the livingroom. Mom did not seem amused, and my toy suddenly disappeared! Oh well, there are a lot more where it came from! Happy Hunting!

Caturday it is! My cubbyhole sounds purfect and I see that you got me a surprise bag of Snarkies? You rock! I'll be sleeping soundly after I enjoy all of those. By the way, mom hopes that I return home with less 'baggage' than I arrive with. She just took a picture of me...not a very flattering one, I might add, and someone asked mom if I'd swallowed a couple of my fursibs? Yikes...that was a stab! Please sign me up; I'm especially excited about the snacks as you would know. I may even fluff before I leave my cathouse.

Yes indeed, that little Grabby can flatten me out and make me mew! I feel like such a sissy....
Okay, to answer your latest slew of questions:
1) Of course I got my old bed back! No one else will ever be banished to my apartment! *smirk*
2) No fighting. Only I know how to open the door. *snicker*
3) Besides big Me, there are 12 other cats, but only Hot Rod snores. *zzzzzz*
4) Oh, I have no problems sleeping 10 hours - when I WANT to! *sneer*
5) I actually haven't been weighed, but mom thinks I may be heavier. *grunt*
6) Those little catnip crackers with the cheese and mouse toppings were kind of tasty. *smack smack*
7) Dreams? Not since I got back home. Now I can chase Bee Gee for real, so no need to dream! *smile*
Um, as for a return to the sleep dungeon, I think I might take a rain check on that. Or rather, a sunshine check. When it's bright and sunny out, a nice dungeon might be just the ticket to keep cool and snooze.
A surprise! Guess what! We found out about a kitty named Tia Tippytoes, and she seems lonely. Not many visitors. Bee Gee visited her furbling sister Miko San, who is a Manx like Bee Gee. If you would like to visit Ms. Tippytoes her page # is 177436. Miko seems pretty cool. BG might be friends with her - if she answers BG's message! Haha!

1. I always sleep on the same heating pad. It's mine, all mine.
2. No fighting necessary as I'm the Queen at the Cathouse.
2.5 That would be 15 fursibs.
3. I catnap continously. The only bother is the need to scratch in the box and the bellies that alert me when empty.
4. Not sure about the weight. That's a tender subject. I pushed the scales under the dining room table so mom will forget about it. Out of sight...out of mind.
5. The snarkies would have been my favorite, except that they were out of stock.
6.My quality of sleep is the same, well...purhaps not quite the same as mom don't put any treats on my pillow before she tucks me in.
7. I dream of superpowers and of attending large breakfast buffets.
I might be able to attend the sleepover this weekend. My secretary will be working. Can you tempt me with a case of Snarkies?

gosh..golf..in this weather? brrr..crazy boy..you should set him straight..this is the month where we should al lcurl up with a nice soft and warm blankie..and take naps all day long.
i love the hello kitty bag and the treats are yummy. i've hid them from the others cuz they are pigs and don't need to put on any more weight...i'd lveoto come oerv to the sleep lab once in a while for a good nights sleep.

No, I did NOT leave the sleep test "in a snit"! I, Rufus Sniff, Esq., do not and have never "snitted". I simply stepped outside for a moment to get a breath of fresh air - all those cats in such close quarters were creating quite a redolence, a not especially fragrant one either. As I exited, the door shut, and woe! Much to my chagrin, it locked behind me. So, rather than stand there banging on the door and waiting for someone to open, or not, the door, I went home.
So, do you have my test scores yet? Did I pass? Did I win anything? I think I should get to keep the plastic bag. BG, Toby, and Grabby all like to lick plastic, and with one this size, it could get me into their good graces. Well, Toby at least. I don't think BG or Grabby HAVE any good graces.
I'm not so sure about that "other" society you want to start. Sounds a little too "spirited" for me - if you get my drift. Spirited! Aahhhaaaa!

I don't go outside so no possums and no voles for me. I stick with the can-opener kinds of food here. I do go outside occasionally, mostly whenever I have a wild hair and take mom for a stroll. It's taken me almost four years to develop the bellies and mom's mission to put me on a diet went into the litterbox as I know how to hoard. Sorry that the sleep lab went belly up...MOL.

What, no more sleepovers? Or could you not keep the pawticipants in the dungeons? I'm still keeping up my sway and I avoided the scales this past weekend as mom had to work....MOL. Glad to see you on the Greens; I haven't done so well this week but I'm hoping that some bribery will pay off. See ya.

I'll move all my stuff from Gma's pillow and make room for the big lug again. I do kind of miss hissing at him and yowling at the top of my lungs at him in the middle of the night. Its been real GTt!!!

You have to remember to leave the door unlocked,had to press the doorbell with my nose,and it almost stuck to it. Here's Bfast! BLT's with egg and cheese on them,Hash browns(yes,its time to break them out now),strawberries,blueberrys and yogurt with granola. They better eat it all too...it was really cold getting here this morning.

What can I say...Ernie is a big dope. He promptly scurried on over to respond to you. I would have drug him over there myself....there are catbucks involved!!!
Cincinnatti is about 4 and a half hours away from us-its CLEAR at he bottom of the state,and we are up northeast area.Would have been cool to meet them if it was closer!

Oh no, I'm not addicted to anything, really. Not even Snarkies. I was brought up to take what I can get 'cause one never knows when the next meal or toddy will roll around again. I have a large fur to fill and I don't like the spay sway to become too gelatinous--gotta stick with the program of frequent grazings. No therapy necessary but thank you for the suggestion.

Sorry, I seem to have missed your memo yesterday. guess that means I'll have to fill out 2 today. Nuts..
Okay, here's the scoop so far:
1) I slept pretty well, but got up again to use the litter box, get a drink, wander around aimlessly for a few minutes, snoop around the other sleepers and have a snack from my private stash I snuck in. Then I went right back to sleep. Swear!
2) Of course I napped! It's part of the 10-hour sleep sessions! Whenever I wake up to use the litter, or get a drink, or have a snack, or snoop around, that ends one nap, and when I go back to sleep, that starts another nap! I mostly nap in my assigned "sleep cubicle" but once I almost dozed off beside the litter room. Stopped for a moment to get my bearings and almost started to "zzzzz".
3) Most of my dreams involve chasing some sort of prey or victim, like Bee Gee or Grabby or Smokey. In my dreams, when I catch Grabby she turns around and has great big claws that she jabs me with. Oh no, wait, that's what happens when I'm awake. And Smokey becomes a loud siren, like an air raid. Oh, that happens when I'm awake, too. Hmm, maybe I don't dream....
4) The music doesn't seem to have any effect, good or bad. With all the snoring and other racket I can barely hear it anyway. I think I'll just use ear plugs from now on.
Other stuff: I was about 22 lbs. and 2 yrs. old when this study started, and I have only a preference for dry food. Wet food actually makes me gack. I like to eat stuff I find on the floor though. Since mom got rid of my fishing pond, my favorite activity is tormenting Bee Gee. With her stubby tail she looks like a sawed off fish anyway! :)
I hope this answers all your nosey questions. I'm gonna get some shut-eye now!

Hmmmm...looks like you've been sleeping on the job.. What, I failed? Sleep and eat is what I do best so I think that you'll be missing out on some very valuable scientific data. It's okay as I miss sleeping on mom's head anyway. I got the KitKat bars and my electric blanket but what about those snarkies?

Let me wake them all up I'm learning to play the trumpet. I brought over poached eggs with salmon and lox and bagels. Oh well...more for us if they snooze the day away!!! Shoved ernie in dungeon two. And I mean shoved. Might need one of those beds for the hefty folks for him.I have totally outdone myself with fresk fruit marinated in OJ,blueberry pancakes in the shape of cat heads with fresh blueberry jam,BACON and country ham just lightly seared. No hash browns. First day of the study...don't want that starchy heavy feeling.Can I glue the electrodes on?? At least on Ernie. I want to rip them off later.And I would be happy to be in charge of singing everyone to sleep. I've been working on my high notes :)

Well, here it is new years eve. I guess you must have heard about our resolutions already, but mom made another one. And we all thoroughly approve. NO more entering contests! Mom said there would have to be a big CASH prize offered, and even then she'd think about it a long time....
I am insanely glad that Tuxedo contest is almost over. Voting in that thing has taken a ton of mom's blogging time! Stupid contest! Well, I am going to go snuggle up in mom's warm bed with that feather blanket thing and that other thing that gets warm. Mmmmmm ..... cozy! :)

We have rat's galore! They have invaded the homes of 2 neighbors. Both of these ladies have cats, so they do not put down poison. The rats are clean as the driven snow. Since we are going back into production, I will get with the neighbor cats and we will have a serious round up. All these cats are tired of rat and won't be sampling the merchandise. Haven't seen many mice, sorry to say. We have so many new kittens that are catching the baby mice, that the supply is depleted. MimiCome visit me, Mimi 184008 & J.C..
