How We Met

I adopted her from my local SPCA. I had just recently lost my kitten of a year and two months because he was killed on the road. He was not an indoor cat and it was very difficult to keep him in. Every now and then he would sneak across the road and that night he didn't make it back across. His loos was very difficult to get over and the more time the more time that passed the harder it seemed to get to deal with. Mom said I could have another kitten when I was ready, if I wanted one. I really didn't have any intentions of bringing one home when I went to look at the SPCA kittens, I had one in mind but they didn't have it. But one kitten in particular seemed to pick me out. She sat on my lap and stayed there while I was getting to knwo the other kittens there but she was determined they would not come near me. She batted at them, hissed and even bit ones tail. I thought she was wonderful and she made me laugh. Then, when I was telling the lady about why I was looking for another kitten, I thought, for a split second, that I saw my other kitten just above the lady's shoulder and he was telling me that it was okay, that I was to be her new mom. The first night she was up with me all night purring and washing me. We've all come to love her very much.
