Recently a cat loving family had their red female cat, Angel Rhuby cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The cat mom of this family decided she would like to adopt another red female and as luck would have it, there was Rosie at the Petsmart Adoption Center. Rosie #252822 and her new mom bonded instantly and Rosie came to her new home that day. Rosie was at the shelter for over two months and was a bit wild. She didn't like being kept in a cage and would fight with the shelter workers when they tried to put her back in her cage. This was a big reason why Rosie #252822 wasn't adopted sooner; she was scared and the people looking at her were not patient with her until her new mom came along. Now at her new home Rosie #252822 is a cuddle cat with her daddy and loves to play with her brother Yogi. She gets along with the rest of her furry siblings and is a happy cat. Rosie #252822 will not eat dry food but she will eat any kind of wet food. She doesn't like dry treats either! Rosie loves to play with her furry mouse and the laser light. Rosie #252822 is happily spoiled now in her new home and we are very happy she has found a wonderful loving home. Rosie would be so honored to have a COTD badge to display on her page. This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. Please pounce by to paw ANGEL CRASH #248838 a vote today so that his foster mom will have a fond memory to cherish & so that this sweet angel can earn the honor of making his star the most brilliant in the night sky tomorrow night.

Please paw by & meet this beautiful Champagne Point Tonkinese kitty. KAYLIN #251700 is not just a beautiful face she is also a CFA Champion & a Mom. She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #215700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken, that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. She Loves to make new friends so won't you please stop and give KAYLIN #251700 your vote and make a new friend.

This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

Patter (249085) is a beautiful 6 year old tabby, who enjoys her outside time, ( She is quite the hunter) and loves playing with the catnip toys that her mom gets for her. Her boyfriend, Hedley tells us that she has a great sense of humor and is lots of fun.

When the mood strikes her, Cassandra #205806 can hide in the smallest of places and will close the cupboard door behind her leaving it almost impossible to locate her. Cassandra likes hamburgers from Burger King, cheese and hot dogs. She hates being interrupted from her naps and being ignored by her daddy. Dear CC Furiends! You are cordially invited to come and meet Fang & Drooler #236550 on Monday, April 1st! These precious kitties are so thankful to have a loving family after they were abandoned when their previous owners moved away. Their new family, who are long time loyal members of CC, realized that Fang & Drooler faced an uncertain future because of their advanced age and medical conditions; so they decided to take them in and try to find them another home. Fang & Drooler #236550 have now taken their place among the other rescues in the family! They love to hang out with mom, enjoy spending time in their beds or on the couch, & enjoy playtime outside! They both meow their displeasure with car rides, strangers, vacuums, & trash trucks; Fang, in particular, has an aversion to feathers, preferring to play only with a shoelace! These sweet kitties are also dealing with an Auto Immune disorder: Drooler has had 7 teeth removed as a result; Fang suffers from mouth and paw ulcers, and is not too happy that he has to take medications for the ulcers, insulin to treat Diabetes, stress, & will start meds for Hyperthyroidism. Along with Luvbug, Lil Jag, Buster, Smudge, & Angels Kuce, Sphinx, & Dancing Bear, Fang & Drooler #236550 have been given a chance to live with this wonderful family, who are well known to everyone for the love and compassion they have for homeless and abandoned cats! Neelix is a very handsome seven year old tabby who was rescued along with his brother when he was a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot. Since that tiny kitten was adopted by his loving pawrents he has trained them to be excellent staff for himself and his brothers. Regarding his brothers, Hedley and Jakar, the three of them comprise the famous (or perhaps infamous) “pawty animals”. These boys are always the life of any party, they create lots of fun at every MHL Mouse Hockey Game, and they are always the first to lend a paw on any project that benefits the CC community. They’re always there to offer comfort to the sad, good thoughts and healing wishes to the sick and congratulations to those who are celebrating. Neelix and his family always support the COTD and COTM candidates. They are a credit to the CC community!
Neelix is an outstanding member of our CC family, and since both of his brothers already have their very own COTD badges, it seems that it is time for Neelix to have one of his own. Won’t you please drop by and give this handsome guy a vote, on Monday so he can have the badge he so much deserves.

We are please to introduce this week's Special Recognition Candidate, Percy #245206. Percy came to be at her forever home due to the kindness of a neighbor. The neighbor took in Percy's mom cat and once her litter was born, the human daughters at her forever home fell in love with her. Percy #245206 stood out because of her wonderful personality. Percy is a prima donna kitty until it is playtime; then watch out! Percy #245206 loves to play with her sibling, Simba, and she enjoys ambushing him. They have a grand time together playing with their toys and each other. Percy is also a talker. She loves to have a conversation and even comes when her name is called. That is smart since a treat may be involved if your name is being called, and Percy #245206 enjoys Temptation treats. She gets a little upset, though, if she is expecting a treat and she is ignored. Percy #245206 can use her paws like furry hands and manages to open things. Percy likes to sit on the back of the recliner and watch her family as she relaxes and observes what is going on. ANGEL TIGGER #82433 has been a member of our community for 4 years & 9 months but has no beautiful badge to call her own yet so we’d like to change that with help from all of our CC furiends. Tigger & two brothers were born when her mom wandered to a house looking for food & love when she was pregnant. Her brothers were adopted by a neighbor but TIGGER #82433 lived a happy life in the forever home her mom had chosen. She got along well with most of her other feline housemates for 15 years until her crossing on July 6, 2011 but we know that the family is still missing her loving purrs. Mom found Jack & Feather outside while she was helping a neighbor round up her loose puppies. They were tiny kittens, covered with fleas and weighing less than 2 pounds each. Now they are thriving under the watchful loving care of their wonderful family, who are long standing loyal members of our CC family! Feather & Jack #244567 are both accomplished jumpers, and love being outside in the cat enclosure. They were named by the children of a family friend: Jack reminded them of the pirate Jack Sparrow and fursis Feather is so named because she was as tiny & delicate as a feather! They enjoy cuddling together, and also love to cuddle with their beloved fursib K. Leo. Both Feather & Jack #244567 are very active in the MHL & are proud members of the Kels Cool Katz team! Storm Frost is a beautiful little Tabby kitten who is the sister of Julius Steven, a friend to many of us. Like her brother she is a caring member of our CC family and can often be seen visiting sick kitties, comforting sad kitties and their families and of course supporting the COTD and COTM candidates.
When Storm Frost was born, To Sparkle Frost, another kitty in the family, Storm Waters, had just miscarried her litter of kittens. Storm Frost and her sister Baby Frost were sort of adopted by Storm Waters and she nursed them cleaned them and taught them what they needed to know to be good kitties. Their birth mother, Sparkle Frost has since been adopted out to a good home, but they are still being loved and groomed by the sweet kitty who adopted them Storm Waters.
Storm Frost and her family are loyal and kind members of our CC family, won’t you lease help this little sweetheart earn her COTD badge. Her family would be proud and she will be very happy

It was a very happy day for Chloe #225879 when she was rescued by her forever family! Mom found Chloe under the porch at her workplace. Chloe was taking care of a kitten, so Mom rescued them both, and named the kitten Laci. When Mom checked with the vet, she found out that they were not litter mates! Chloe is 4 months older than Laci, and has gained some weight now that she doesn’t have a little one to care for. Chloe #225879 is a very important member of her family, and she is thriving! Chloe loves to play; her favorite toys are catnip-scented pompoms, and balls that have jingle bells inside! Like many of us, Chloe’s has a least favorite activity, and that is getting her nails clipped! Her favorite places to hang out are on Mom’s lap and on top of the cat condo! Jakar is a handsome 3 year old who always looks good in his basic black. He was born feral, but became a beloved member of his family as a tiny kitten. He’s a fun loving guy who loves to play fetch with his pawrents, always bringing them toys to toss for him to retrieve. He also likes to wrestle with his brother Hedley who outweighs him by a lot!
He and his brothers Hedley and Neelix are active in MHL hockey and have become very good players in just a short time.
Perhaps the most important aspect of Jakar’s personality is his kindness and loyalty to his CC friends and family. Not a day goes by that you don’t see Jakar offer congratulations to his friends, bringing kind words to those who are ill or sad and supporting the CC family as a whole. Jakar is a wonderful and caring member of our CC community. Let’s show him how much we appreciate him by joining together to vote for him on Monday the 28th, to bring him his COTD badge. He certainly deserves it and his family will be so happy for him to be honored with a shiny COTD badge.

*RAINBOW SCOOP* From the desk of Editor Angel Sherman…ANGEL STORMY #75494 was a happy cat living in a home where he’d been since he was a kitten when one day his owner turned him in to an 82% kill shelter in 2007 because she was "moving and couldn’t take him with her." When he didn't get adopted at Petsmart, his time was up, so he was adopted as a foster for the rescue his profile owner volunteered for. He was incredibly reclusive and never played, looked out the window or did anything but crouch on the bare floor under or behind the sofa. We think this sweet boy was traumatized by the sudden departure of his longtime friend/owner, plus being put into a strange home but he was loved very dearly by his adoptive foster parents & they did what they could for him until his sudden crossing on December 21,2008. We’d like everyone to help honor the memory of this handsome boy by running by & pawing ANGEL STORMY #75494 an ACOTD vote today (Friday January 18) so that his star can outshine all the rest in the heavens tomorrow night.

Gracie #230155 is a beautiful 5 year old Persian that was with her former family for only 8 months. Sadly Gracie was displaced when her owner brought a new puppy home & her husband didn’t want to keep both Gracie & the puppy. There is a happy ending to Gracie’s story though, because her forever family was quick to take her in and she now has her own special place in their loving home! Mom tells us that Gracie had two litters of beautiful kittens and was a wonderful mother. Gracie #230155 is loving, has many interests and is very talented! She is very deft of paw and can swipe food from your plate if you look away! Gracie is a cheese lover, and also enjoys cheesy treats! One of Gracie’s favorite things to do is play fetch with foam ear plugs! She also enjoys being outside when the weather is good, and can hop over the fence to get out to the front yard! This is our last special recognition catpaign of 2012 & we’ve got the purrfect kitty to ring in the New Year! ALUMINUM #240737 is a beautiful young kitty that was noticed at a local vet office when mom was looking for another kitty after the loss of her special boy. There were several strays up for adoption but none of them caught the eye of mom until she came to the cage of a sweet adult cat that had finished weaning her litter of kittens & been spayed by the clinic. As soon as her would be mom picked her up & cuddled her she knew she was the purrfect one to join her family. She took her home that day in a crate that wouldn’t latch but did great holding the cage door closed even though her hand was being attacked the entire ride home. As soon as Aluminum #240737 arrived at her new forever home she settled in quickly & began purring. She’s extremely loyal to her mom & follows her on every walk she takes plus loves to wrestle & play bite with her. Aluminum says there isn’t a treat on the market that she won’t eat but only eats wholesome, good-for-you cat food. *RAINBOW SCOOP for 11/30/2012* KATIE #201150 was spotted by her mom at a rescue event at a pet store. It was love at first sight for both of them so mom put in her application for review & waited impatiently for two weeks while they processed & approved her. Once it was approved KATIE #201150 came to her new forever home & became the mom to all the other furbabies in the house, although she was especially close to her brother Serj. On 11/26/12 mom took Katie to the vet as she had been lethargic, not eating or drinking and just lying around the kitchen floor. The vet determined she was in liver failure and the prognosis was very poor. Her loving mom didn't want her to suffer and made the tough decision to let her go so today we’d like to honor the life of this precious angel & the beloved family that adopted her. Please go by & paw ANGEL KATIE #201150 an ACOTD vote today (Friday November 30th) & give her family some gentle hugs of comfort to help them get through this difficult time.

This handsome little guy is the newest member of one of the nicest families in our CC community. He was born on the eve of the 4th of July to Bagheera Boo. His dad is Champagne De Lancer. When he was born it was love at first sight, and his family knew he was right where he belonged, in his furever home. Like most of us he has some things that annoy him, like loud noises and storms, but in general he is a gentle, loving and beloved member of his family. He loves playing with the other kittens in his family, and while he enjoys his play, his family enjoys watching him play every bit as much.

Boomerang #232041 has a very relaxed and peaceful life. He likes to wander around his fenced-in backyard and also likes to spend time laying under his big grass plant which is also outside. This precious furbaby was just starting to enjoy life when a fire broke out at the family home that took the lives of all the animals on a cold January day. This week’s special recognition kitties are the 4 of 5 furbabies left behind after their beloved mom Marie was called by the angels after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. The TUMBLEWEEDS #238074…Itsy Bitsy (F-14), Add-a-Line (F-10) , Rusty Buckets (M-9) and Blondie (F-9)…were well known by their new furever family before they came to live with them. Their previous ‘owner’ was known for her gentle, kind & loving approach as each day dawned anew, yet the torment in her eyes about the welfare of her fubabies when she feared “something might happen to her” , was obvious to her dear furiends when they talked to her. They put her mind at ease one day when they agreed to take all of her precious kitties if anything happened & it lifted her spirits to give her the peace of mind that all human feline parents deserve. About a week before their mom was called to the angels she placed a call to her dear furiends & said… "It’s time my friend, please come get them because I can't care for them and spend time with them the way they deserve". This was heartbreaking news for the kitties, but also for the dear furiends because they knew she wouldn’t give them up unless she had no other choice. And so they came into their new furever home where they’re loved dearly, just as their angel mom intended! They got their group name when their fur came out during grooming time & rolled into little balls that kept skirting around the room, just like tumbleweeds. It made their new parents laugh to watch it & from that moment forward they were known as MARIE’S TUMBLEWEEDS #238074. Itsy Bitsy & Add-a-Line had the most trouble adjusting to their new home but eventually they settled into a quiet, normal routine & have come to love their new parents just as much as their fursibs. Not only would we like to honor MARIE’S TUMBLEWEEDS #238074 today but also the loving mom they lost & their new adoring parents. From the cloud of the Angel Sherman…Surprise campaign for ANGEL TIGER #34768! This precious angel has been a quiet member of our community for over 5 years but doesn’t have any badges on her page & very few visitors. She was adopted shortly after her mother had crossed the rainbow bridge when she was just a young kitten. She lived for many years in her happy furever home until the angels called her home on August 1st of this year. She & her family are not ‘regular’ bloggers but they’ve been seen congratulating winners recently so we’d like them to know their efforts to be part of the community have not gone unnoticed.
