My sis left a belated BD gift for you with Barney so make sure he gives it to you!!
It’s a bright sunny day again at NICE HQ & we’re supposed to reach a high of 80! Woohoo…sunshine makes me feel happy & warm all over & I’d like to spread a little of it’s warmth by staring off your day with a big warm hug & a sunny smile! Uh Oh…mom just checked the camera to make sure the battery is charged so that means I’d better clean myself up a little before she decides to start clicking….& I’d better warn the rest of the crew too! Joe leaps from the computer chair & starts meowing.
“Hey Zaboo…where are you? Patches…better quit sneezing & get your face looking good.” OUCH…she whacked me! That was totally uncalled for so I’m telling mom! “MOM…Patchy whacked me for no good reason. Mom? Mom are you ignoring me or…well, yes I could have put it another way to Patchy but that didn’t mean…(sigh)Oh okay mom, I’ll be nice ( louder sigh). Now where was I? Oh yeah…”Trixie…mom has the flashy thing out again so better get out from under the hutch & clean off the dust bunnies. Zaboo…are you ignoring me?” Where is he? Not on the cat tree by the window, not on the couch, not on the bed…hmmm… “Oh there you are on the rocking chair!” (Zaboo looks sleepily at Joe & meows softly) “Shhh…if she thinks I’m asleep she’ll bypass me”
Now why didn’t I think of that? Guess that’s why he’s the King & I’m only a Prince…MOL! Well I’d better get pouncing to tell the outside crew that mom has the camera bug again. I also know she’s got to back little bro’s birthday cake since he’s officially 12 years old today & mom has lots to do before he gets home from school. Speaking of birthdays…check out the lists of special event kitties today. It’s HUGE so Trixie will be bouncing by all of those while I deliver the daily blog. Have a pawtastic day sweet furiends!

a Vote & a Hello
Hey, Pebble, you fluffy fluffy girl you!
In case you are not yet tired out from pawing thank you notes, here's one more belated Happy Birthday wish/vote and gift for you.
Here's a bowl of freshly whipped Mouse Mousse dip (Uncle Buddy whips the mice himself) and a bag of Chippy Chips for an after pawty pawty.
I have copied your interesting Trout Treets recipe. Could be Mom will try it although we do not have fresh trout at our house. It is trout fishing season in the streams around here but we do not ever go to the streams. She could try a different fish since all 3 of us prefur fishy flavored food. And Mom must find another way to get me and Gracie Twinkle-toes to eat out L-Lysine powder... feline herpes.
We have loads of puddles and small lakes surrounding our house today because it has rained more or less steadily for two days. After the first day, Mom noticed that she left her car window open. Some strong language came out of her about that. And she has to drive off to the cat food store for us today... she should wear her rain jacket inside the car, huh?
Well, good luck in the start of the next year of your life.

Trout Treats
Your cat will signal her paw-si-tively pleasing approval if you break from the monotony of store-bought treats by seving these homemade yum-yums.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 egg yolks
1 small trout filet, baked
4 tablespoons instant oatmeal
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Coat a baking pan with the vegetable oil.
3. In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks.
4. Dip the trout in the egg mix and then coat the fish with oatmeal.
5. Place the coated fish in the pan and bake for 15 to 18 minutea.
6. Allow to cool and then cut into half-inch pieces.
Makes 6 to 8 servings
