Hi ! My mother says we have to apologize for not being in contact for so long - it is her fault though and I wanted to write because I have been missing my friends ! Anyway, we have been busy with my new status - my Dad and I are featured on the National Stroke Association "faces of stroke" since May is stroke awareness month. As you know, I help my Dad with his therapy and he and my mother are both happy to have me here with them. This is a big plus for us cats, as I have been getting a lot of attention -usually dogs are focused on as therapy pets. I am actually the first cat to be featured as a therapy pet for the stroke web-site. My mother will add the info for the web-site address here if you want to look it up - and please tell your friends so the word gets around about how great we cats are for the people who don't know it ! It is: National Stroke Association Awareness Month - go to the right side where it says "faces of stroke" and then click on the stroke survivors - when you scroll down you will see Roger Hill and his cat Ray Bey - click this and the big photo will come up with the article. We are very proud of how well we are doing now. All else is going good too and it is finally nice weather in ERIE sometimes so I am getting outside on my leash - although it has been raining a lot and I don't like that. Take care. Isnt that funny what a small world. I havent seen the older vet in a long time. I really like the front office people and they try and give me little breaks whenever they can. CoCo has to go in this week for her yearly stuff. This has been really crazy weather this week for May. Hope it gets better soon.

I am back!!!!! First we had a sick kitty Then a sick mom. Mom is finally feeling better and I am so behind on my mail. I am so sorry I havent been able to write. The rest of the family doesnt show up at the bottom of my page because I am on a different account all by myself. Sparky right now only wieghs a little over 12 lbs but is gaining some of his weight back. Mom didnt realize how much he had lost because he had always been a little bony in the back but when she started feeling his hip bones she knew there was a problem and then he developed very bad diahria that wouldnt go away and he lost a half a pound in a week. He got down to 11.61 pounds and mom was scared to death she was going to lose him. The meds the vet gave him made him improve for about a week and then he lost all he had gained and the diahria came right back. Mom has him on a new diet and he got more shots and his diahria is totally gone and he is slowly gaining weight. Mom thinks this slower wieght gain is better and he is getting some of his mucsle back. He ran and played and jumped up after his toy on Monday so she could tell he was feeling better. His regular wieght is around 13.5 pounds. He is a large kitty and isnt fat at that wieght. That would be great to get together but should probably wait to measure him until he gets closer to his regular wieght. Maybe our moms could get together for coffee or lunch or something on a weekend. We thought spring was finally here to stay but it is going to be cold and rainy again this weekend.
Hope mom had a nice Mothers day. My mom was sick as a dog on Mothers Day :(((((( Hope you have a great Friday the 13th.

My stitch came out. Mom checked yesterday and it was gone. I fell behind the TV cabinet Saturday night. Mom kept hearing a meow and then she would look but I would be quiet.She would shine the flashlight back there but I couldnt be seen. Finally she decided to pull it out of the corner anyway because kitties have gotten trapped back there before. Out I came along with one fo my siblings. There were two of us back there. Glad to see the rest of the family. Sparky needs one of those harnesses. He has had the same harness for eleven years. The ones in the store dont fit him right. Mom found a home made one years ago at the grape festival that had a longer joining piece and it is perfect. Silly mom should have bought more than one. Hope you had a purrfect Easter

I have one of my stitches hanging out but I wont let mom take it out. They were supposed to dissolve but this one didnt. Mom really doesnt want to take me back to the vet because of how I reacted when I went last time. She is hoping it will dissolve and fall out. We are the Ca Crew. In order to add more family photos you have to create profiles for additional family members. When you are on your My Account page right under Future's name is blue writing that says create new cat profile. Click on that and you can make profiles for more of your family. Did you ever get a chance to visit Sparky and the rest of the family. They wrote you on the 14th Mom just loves the ears. That earlier picture of you below they look really big.

Yep those avatars take a little practice. Just remember when you get a porton you like save it so if you make a mistake you dont have to start all over. Also for finer details use the zoom feature It makes it easier to het smaller things position where you want them. My mom got pretty good at the avatars. Supposed to be warmer today

56 ~*~HAVING A BAD MORNING~*~
EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 55 & low was 40 this morning, now it's 49 feels like 45 with humidity 86% & wind is 9 MPH. Friday's suppose to be Rain & High 54.

This morning I ate my Meow Mix Market Select wet food with MiraLax in it and then I still meowed like crazy so mom thought I was having troubles going poo but I wasn't going to check out the litter boxes like I do when that is the case so then mom figured that I was just having a bad morning with an anxiety attack. She tried to hold me to calm me down but that's not what I wanted. She told me that I had to wait til later this afternoon for another dose of my Fluoxatine since she already gave me my pill earlier this morning. Later, Bahneetah 10641, Sassee 10605 and Whyskrs 10378 started their meowing and in the kitchen. Mom told them that they weren't going outside as the wind was chilly and it's been raining. They never stopped so finally about noon mom said "Ok dad, let's take these kids out for a short time" and away we went. We were out for about a half hour. We just got back inside when it decided to start raining again. We were all happy and got treats. Mom played with us also inside with one of my new wand toys that I got from my Sissy Lee. Whyskrs liked that one the best. Pappoose 10366 and I liked one of our older ones better. As a result, I never had to have any xtra dose of my medication which makes me and mom happy.

Mom is treating me and Jazpyr 10428 for Feline Acne. Mom is using a Triple Antibiotic Ointment as it seems to work better on us than the Pyoben Gel. Mom doesn't understand how we keep getting the acne as she washes our glass dishes daily and we do not have any plastic dishes at all!!!!

We saw your name on another page, so came by to introduce ourselves! My name is Deidre, and I am a registered Maine Coon Cat. Mom bought me from a breeder who sold me at 5 weeks of age because she needed the money. Mom knew I was too young to be taken from my fur Mom but she knew I would do fine with a "crazy old cat lady" who already had a houseful of inside only kitties! She was right, I did wonderfully well! My "brother" Simba took me into his kitty bed and snuggled me until I got bigger than him. He taught me how to be a cat by swatting me in the face when I got too rowdy. I am extremely confident, and not afraid of thunder and lightning like some of the other cats (and dogs) in our family. There are eight of us kitties in the Blueberry Hill Gang. Are there other kitties in your family?

Mom sure hopes my distrust and skittishness isnt permanant. We had such a special bond. If mom had known she would have had someone else take me. Mom got the back yard done today. The mower wasnt happy with the height and thickness of the grass.

My tummy is healing up nicely. Mom hopes my emotional part heals up also. It has been a week now and I still am not acting right. It sure was cold and very windy yesterday. When the trash truck came at moms work and emptied the dumpster stuff blew all over the parking lot

I am doing better today. Still a little cautious but letting mom pet me and my motor is working well. My incision is doing well. I will be back to normal in no time. I am doing a little better but I am still running away from mom. I am afraid something bad will happen when she catches me. I did let her pet me and love on me after she finally caught me and I purred for her. She is hoping after I see nothing bad happens I will get back to my normal loving self. Mom took the cone off and is keeping a close eye on me. I wouldnt eat or drink with it on. Dont you just love this spring weather

I am home!!!!!!! They said my surgery went well but they had to make a longer incision than normal cause they had trouble finding some of the parts. As soon as mom let me out of the carrier I ran around like a crazy kitty with my cone hitting everything. Boy do I hate that thing already. I finally calmed down and settled in for a long nap. It was a wonderful day here and I missed it :((((((

Wasnt it a pretty day today. Mom opened the door so we could soak up the fresh air and sunshine this afternoon.
Tomorrow is the big day and she is taking away the food and water. I dont like that at all. Mom gave me a big bowl of my favorite canned food before she took everything away. Purrs MARMALADE

We are getting our votes and notes out early today. Actually, I tried to wake my mom up at 4 am to play but she said that was to early and we had to wait until 6:30 am. At least we are up now and having fun. I saw you had a note on my friend, Angel's, page so thought I would visit you too - I also go outside and my mother bought me a new walking jacket that I wear with a leash to go out - my one from last year got to small. I like the new one - she ordered it on the computer. I like your picture too. I think we are going to walk outside to get the newspaper now too - it is cold so I only like to go out for a little while. Do you want to be friends with me too ? Sorry I havent been by to meow in a while. Mom got really busy and just couldnt find the time to do my blogs. We actually had a whole day with no rain. Hope it dries out enough by the weekend for mom to mow the jungle that used to be a yard. MOL I am going in for my big girl surgery on Thursday and I am really nervous. It is hard to believe I am already 7 months old. Hope you all are doing well

Angel likes to get on mom's back then look over mom's shoulder to see what she is doing. hehe I just like to supervise. I have been supervising mom today. She is rearranging some things. Spunky has been going into the closets and cabinets. She just has so much energy. Happy Anniversary to your mom and dad. I have a bouquet of roses for them. Tomorrow is Angel's 5th Birthday. We had sun for most of the day but by 3:00 it went away. I did watch mom clean out part of the spare bedroom closet. I am now out of the bedroom after my catnap and I'm looking out the glass door. We might have rain by this weekend and I'm not happy. I want more sun. I hope you enjoy your mom time tonight. I keep trying to get mom to go to bed early so I can snuggle but it's never early enough for me. MOl

Hi Future
None of us get to go outside and there hasnt been a mouse brave enough (or stupidenough) to enter our domain
The biggest thing we get to hunt down is a fly. Boy it was cold and windy yesterday. Hope their prediction for some warmer days is correct. Sparky goes to work with mom everyday and he catches a mouse there from time to time. Have a great day.

~*~Please vote COTD Sly #33464 Monday Feb 28th~*~
In honor of the final day of February, & Black Cat month, we’d like to present a special kitty to you that’s very deserving of his 2nd COTD badge. Sly #33464 is a 10 year old kitty with striking green eyes that lives with a very large feline family. He stays in the background & is fairly quiet on CC, although some of his other family members are frequent visitors to our community functions. Sly’s #33464 life started out very rough when he was thrown out with the trash as a small kitten. He was rescued & taken to an animal shelter where he spent nearly a year waiting for that special someone to come along & adopt him. His prayers were answered on April 17, 2002 when he was finally released from his prison & moved into his loving furever home. His motto of “A Loving Home is a Piece of Heaven on Earth” expresses his innermost feelings of finally finding a place to call his own. Please pounce by to meet Sly #33464 on February 28th & paw him a COTD vote. While you’re there please check out the poem on his page & you’ll understand why we think he’s the purrfect kitty to end up the month known for love, for black cats & a wonderful reason for adopting a shelter kitty.

Bad dog and good cat
Hi Future,
Here's today's blog: (not as personal but usually funny.)

My dog likes to get wet and has been driving us crazy tonight. He want's out to chase squirrels and its too wet to be off leash. He's either barking at the door or running back and forth making eye contact and whining follow me moves like Lassie. He's just been outside and Mom and Dad are trying their best to ignore him.

I've been a perfect cat all day..took naps in my furry igloo and now napping in the top of my cat tree.
