Hi MeowMeow and Callie!
Hi Fur-pals! Wez were hoping it was going to be a nice quiet pleasant day here today but wez guess it's not! Mom and dad were excited to see that wez are gonna get up to 67 today! That's unheard of in these parts this time of year. Just overnight, all the snow melted.

Penny is sick! Mom has an appointment for her at 11:50 CST. Here is what happened. Dad was making ruben sandwiches Monday night and he turned his back to go into the frig. Penny snuck over and started eating the corned beef like a hoover deluxe! She ran off with a sizeable piece too. Then yesterday, she slept all day. Mom noticed that she was not her interactive and sweet self and not craving attention like she has been. When she was sleeping in the kitty condo, her breathing was fast, but not distressed. She only ate once at lunch time and only 1/8 of a cup of crunchies. She is the same this morning and is secluding herself from everyone. Mom is lucky that the vet is squeezing her in. No vomiting or diarrhea is noted. She does NOT want to be picked up. Dad is worried about the twist tie to the bread as he couldn't find it after using the bread to make the sandwhiches. Dad is very religious about making sure there are no twist ties unaccounted for. So, please pray for Penny that it is nothing serious. Mom is concerned because corned beef is heavily spiced with garlic and onion amongst other things and Penny was able to eat a lot before dad noticed. Wez will update everyone when wez know what is going on.

Hearty laughs with friends, family & pets
It'd be great if teachers made math interesting and exciting. I had the most fun-tastic math professor. I was psyched to take the next level class but this time, the instructor could not clearly explain the basics nor did she have the enthusiasm like the other. The difference between these two was huge.

Oh how wonderful that your wrote to us! Wez missed you! Have youz been having rain and thunderstorms??? Mom thought she saw some on the radar in your neck of the woods. Wez trapped a stray kitty last week that has been hanging around since Nov. It was quite a saga! So, our blogs have been about her a lot lately. Her name is Penny Lane and she is a dilute tortie about 1 1/2 years old. Here is today's blog:

Well today it has been quite overcast with the smallest and lightest snow wez ever seen that just started coming down. Looks like it will be a dusting at most. Mom has been letting Penny Lane AKA “Growlie Kitty” out for bits of time. She is not friendly to us at all! Even Maya who terrorizes Lukey runs for the hills when she sees her! MOL! Now that is saying something. Mom is still her safety person but Penny Lane has no problem growling and swatting at her for the slightest thing. She will purr for mom and do figure 8's around her legs, but don't let that fool you! She sure doesn't like to be touched too much.

The rest of us are doing good and a bit uneasy with Miss Growlie Kitty. Wez don't know why she get's Fancy Feast for dinner and wez don't! Anyways, wez are all wishing you a meowvelous Monday night!

How was your day? What did you do? Fuzz and I just napped because Mom was gone most of the day running errands. She likes to pile these all into one day and today was that day. When she got home Fuzz pestered her to take him outside on his leash - didn't happen because it was getting dark outside!

Momma Pam loved her fur babies very much and her husband~Laurie. They just celebrated their 19th Wedding Anniversary on 11/19/2011.

We wish to share part of an email mom received early this morning from Hollie:
"Speedy has been acting pretty normal as has Raga but Skits has been hiding all day and Evil has been crying, I think they can feel the change and notice that she is missing. I am doing my best to keep there feeding scheduled going and am hoping that that and cuddles will be enough to help them deal with the change."
Hollie will be sending mom updates and pictures on the AUSSIE KIDS 4624 now and then. Mom will also keep their profiles updated for Hollie with her help.

Mom had the pleasure to know and communicate with momma Pam thru IMing for about the last 3½ to 4 years and then a couple weeks ago mom received her first International phone call from Pam. They've xchanged many cards as well.

Today it has been raining a light rain all day. The birdies have been very active at the feeders and mom's favorite birds, the Cardinals, are out there. They are providing us with entertainment from the patio door.

Maya and Luke got into a big fight again. She stalks him mercilessly! Poor guy! He will be here a year in 2 days.

I, Betty Boop, have been asked by Pantera to be one of her bridesmaids. I am sooo honored!

Mom just got involved in a crisis situation with a homeless family, so wez will be on here everyday, but mom's time here will be more limited until this situation has stabilized. So, please be patient with us and know that wez have not forgotten any of you!

Dad is off for the rest of the year and most likely will be distracting mom a lot too! Te he he!

Food for thought
Our area has already had 2 snowstorms (over 12"). Just last week, we woke up with an inch of snow covering tree branches. Daytime weather has not been too bad at around 42 degrees. At night, it drops down to 28 so it is certainly perfect weather for a polar bear. Keep warm.

Mom's back from her last trip to Michigan this year. She sure appreciates Florida's weather over Michigan's! For 10 days it was cold and rainy up there, but the last few days turned warm and beautiful as God painted the trees with brilliant Fall colors!

Over this past weekend Mom's daughter and her 4 grandchildren came down from GA to visit. They left this morning after having a fun weekend on our beautiful beaches.

One day Rosie’s future Dad-To-Be was in his backyard when he saw a feral mother cat and kitten. The mother cat ran but the kitten stayed. Dad picked her up and took her inside. They named her Rosie and her new Mom took her to the vet where she got a clean bill of health. She was taken back home and met Mom and Dad’s other cat Meeko, a 6 year old. They immediately bonded and fell in love with each other. Meeko is now Rosie’s big brother. They clean each other and even sleep together. Rosie just loves her new furever home. Won’t you please send a vote her way on the 26th so she can get her very own well deserved COTD badge..Thanks

~Vote BUSTER #187904 COTD September 19th~
Our special recognition kitty for today was found roaming the neighborhood where his soon-to-be furever parents were renting a house. BUSTER #187904 was being taken care of by a neighbor & she had already had him altered plus was feeding him daily but she knew he needed more. Unfortunately the sweet lady couldn’t keep him inside with her other cats so she was thrilled when her new neighbors offered to take him in. BUSTER #187904 was brought into his new furever inside home & met his new siblings. Like most new kitty acquaintances, there were a few hissing matches between them but nothing too serious. He’s now a happily adjusted 5 year old that has learned to open doors to get where he wants to go. His life on the streets may have ended but his inside life will happily go on thanks to the loving intervention of his cat loving furever family. Please run by to visit BUSTER #187904 today, Monday September 19th, & paw him a much deserved COTD vote. We look forward to watching him open the door of his home & dancing down the sidewalk in joyous celebration of his shiny new badge tomorrow morning!

Today we’re doing a Shout-Out for one of the precious Knight Gang kitties that so many of you know & love. The kitty’s name we’re shouting out today is…SASSEE #10605! She got her 1st COTD badge on 9/03/2007 & is wondering when she’ll get another one after 4 long years of waiting in the shadows of her other sibs. SASSEE #10605 is a sweet 7 year old kitty that lives up to her name on a daily basis. Her family also calls her Lil Trouble Maker, which she proudly proclaims is the purrfect nickname. Please pounce by to let her know we’re thinking about her today & paw her a vote; but whatever you do…don’t bring catnip! She absolutely adores it but it makes her even more aggressive towards the other kits than normal, & we don’t want her picking a fight with any of her siblings so that her fur is ruffled when visitors drop by.
