The vet was making plans to send my body to Cornell to be tested...when I heard that I said NO WAY!!! and decided that I was going to live. I owe you an apology. When you came to visit me for COD, my dog-brother had just died. Mom got very behind in her blogging because she was sad. I really did appreciate each and every vote and note!Mommy was changing the sheets today, which is even more fun than the daily making her bed...Jelly and Elvis are attuned to the sound of rustling sheets, so they raced upstairs and sprang into action! Jelly and Elvis each grabbed a sheet in their mouths and started running in different directions. Mom kept trying to put the fitted sheet over the corners, but as fast as she tucked they bit and ran! Wow! It was so much fun!!! Mom gently lifted them off the bed, patting their heads as she placed them on the floor. And they just jumped right back on! This biting, running, lifting, patting and jumping cycle repeated several times. Finally, mom went back downstairs and opened some fancy feast. We cats have our limits, besides, fancy feast tastes much better than sheets! Miss Priss

Thanks for the visit and the vote, here's one back at ya! Sorry I haven't blogged in a couple of days, but my mom's been so busy! Sunday she had to move my human sister all day and yesterday she had to have a spinal epidural, so she was kind of out of it. But she let me on for a little bit today so that I can blog a few of my kitty friends so they don't think I forgot about them. Either you are too mature to tear down shower curtains, or you've exercised the right of an author to adjust the facts just a teeny bit. I'm one of those sweet little girls that never gets into trouble. Mom is so happy with me, because she had a kitty that was bad on purpose, it seemed. He'd attack the other kitties and would sass her. Now it's just me and Mom and Dad. Purrrrrr. A good way to live. I had another home before coming to this one and it was a scary place for me - kids running about and yelling. I like quiet. And I like you. You are quite a handsome cat and I'm glad you are my friend. I've left another vote with this note, and here are some whisker tickles to make you smile. Hi thanks for the vote and here's one right back at you. The poisoned food!!! What a nightmare. I was losing weight (before recall was announced), vet said I was depressed and to feed me more!! Of course, my fave food was the poisoned kind. Dad fed me then the following week the recall was announced and by the time I got back to the vet I was in a coma. I do not remember any of this, I was this close to crossing the Rainbow Bridge. I am all better now but it was horrible. Peace and purrs Spiker

Yes, I came from a house with 70 kitties! I was slightly feral when mom adopted me, because it was almost like living in a pack. Story Time
I loved your story about Pookie and Blik and the shower curtain. What naughty kitties. I try very hard to be a good girl. Going out to roam the neighborhood was the extent of my mischief, and that was mostly curiosity. We know what they say about curiosity, but I survived that foray and now sit quietly on the window sill while the birds feed at the window feeder. If I don't move, they ignore me. Cool, as I can get a really close-up look at them. Well, it's quite late and Mom needs to shut down the 'puter for the night. Leaving you with a vote, this note, and whisker tickles.

- a vote for you. =^..^= Mom said I can tell you of my adventure. She and Dad were leaving verrrrry early the next a.m. for the east coast. Dad was working in the yard and didn't get the door shut completely. Being clever and curious, I slipped through and headed over the fence. (This was late morning.) Dad climbed back and forth over several fences trying to coax me back home - to no avail. He finally confessed to Mom that I was out (I am an indoor cat). She was very worried about me as we have coyotes, hawks, cougars, and other not-so-pet-friendly neighbors. When I had not returned by bedtime, she figured she'd lost me. She was heading upstairs for the night (nearly midnight) when I strolled very nonchallantly through the door. (Yep, they'd left it open for me.) Boy did that door get closed fast. They still took that trip, leaving me anyway. Since that night I am the star of "Cherish, Grounded For Life". Have you any interesting tales to tell? Hugs and purrs.

How are you today? About the fish tank going over -- no, Moms isn't really sure that I did it. I have lots of step-sibs in the house and any one of them could've done it. I didn't say a word and tried to look my most innocent! It worked (I THINK).

One of the other cats pulled the fireplace mantle off the wall and broke Daddy's favorite ceramic rhino ALL TO BITS! Pops was really mad but Moms laughed. They are still finding glass (with their toesies and feeties). HAHA!

We are doing well down here in Texas. It is warming up though. Yesterday when Moms and Pops got up the AC wasn't working! GASP! We were hot and cranky until some guy came and made it work again. Pops was here so it was okay there was a stranger but we hid under the bed and stayed out of sight until the guy was gone. We didn't like his smell -- like DOGS! ICK! We are happy today because it is cool inside the house again. Yesterday we thought this must be what it's like to be OUTSIDE! The birdies look nice to eat but we think it's beter to be cool. That's too bad you don't have fishies anymore. They are my favorite thing. Oh, I also like those little foam rubber balls that Moms and Pops bring. I like to shred 'em all up. Moms laughs when she finds little pieces of blue or pink or yellow or green ball laying around in the house. ;)

What a handsome kitty! Please stop by and visit us sometime. I am the youngest one in my house. I keep everyone else very busy. I like to look at the fishies in Moms tank. I dumped the other one on the floor one night and water and gravel and plants and fish went everywhere. Mom and Pops got up and rescued all the fish and now the tank is smaller. I watch 'em though and someday I'll get 'em and eat 'em all up! I love sardines that Moms give me but they aren't alive like the ones in the tank. Do you have fishies at your house in PA? It's been awhile since I've been on. And I miss you and all my kitty Friends...Nothing really has been going on. The humans Running around telling everyone about the Baby. Me Trying to escape the Love and Cuddles of the result of this..*L* *sigh* The Female Human is Very glad that she doesn't have to clean my litter box anymore... but it's PSHAW! it's an honor!..*L* Aaaah well.. But Yes it is Burnin up here in the Great state of Kentucky. Finally got some rain. Just been so Dry here. But I don't care..I have the best napping spot right in front of the fan..=)

My job is to assist God's creatures I was born with the need to fulfill their needs I take in new family members without plan, thought or selection I have bought dog food with my last dime I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand I have hugged someone vicious and afraid I have fallen in love a thousand times and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body I have Animal Friends and friends who have Animal Friends I don't often use the word "pet" I notice those lost at the road side … And my heart aches I will hand raise a field mouse, And make friends with a vulture I know of no creature unworthy of my time I want to live forever if there aren't animals in Heaven But I believe there are! Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind? We may be master of the animals, But the animals have mastered themselves Something people still haven't learned War and abuse make me hurt for the world But a rescue that makes the news gives me hope for humankind We are a quiet but determined army, And making a difference every day There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan Nothing more rewarding than saving a life No higher recognition than watching them thrive There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play who only days ago, was too weak to eat I am an Animal Rescuer My work is never done My home is never quiet My wallet is always empty But my heart is always full In the game of life, I have already won! ~ Annette King Tucker ~

Thanks for visiting me. It's a rather sad time in our home right now so I apologize for not getting back to you. My sister kitty, Abby, sadly passed away last Friday from cancer. It was very unexpected & sudden. She went into the vet for a possible obstruction and it turned out to be cancer. She was there for a week and a half but we couldn't save her. We miss her very much!

H Cubie, thanks for visiting my site. We havnt been here for a while, Mommy was working a lot then I got sick and had to stay at the vets for a few days. Kidney problems and urinary blockage. Mommy was very scared.She has a hurt knee and now cant go get it fixed coz I cost so much to be well. And shes not mad at me!! She really must love me!
We have 2 cat trees. The one in the pic of me was from Petsmart.I got it for my first christmas at home.(The other cats say its theirs too but I know it was for ME)

Well we are now three months old, we are litter mates, when our mommie saw us at the Humane Society, she couldn't pass us by, Zac was showing off and squeaking like a mouse, he is so silly, but she couldn't take one without the other. Our mommie is so cool, she plays with us all the time, maybe she will teach us some cool tricks, like you do soon. We will send more pictures when we can, we love playing with the computer too, we play games on Pogo and are learning how to type on the computer, whe she is at work (She doesn't know ) Take care and write again soon, your new friends.>^^<
