Happy (belated) Valentine's Day!

Well, I didn't have much special planned...mom and dad are always the mushy type...you know lovey dovey and such...I just want my share of the attention.

Well, you can tell mom to get you those crazy bubbles at Petco. You will love them! You will have to let me know when you get them.

Tell your mom that my mom said happy belated birthday.

Geesh..the weather here has been sooooo cold. It's snowed some too, but the cold has been brutal. I think I'm ready for Spring now. Warm breezes and naps in the sun...yep...that's what I need.

MOL...a butch collar. Well, I guess that's quite befitting of a guy like you! You're rough, tough and brute. But you do still meow...and I like that.

Oh yeah, Little Bit will probably love these bubbles. Actually you will probably love them too. They are really addictive. Mom has to put them out of my reach because I love them so much that I will roll the container around because I smell the catnip though the container....but this is no regular catnip...so it has the potential to make a real mess if I get it open.

Boy is it COLD here today. Lots of snow falling and wind blowing. I've been snuggled inside of mom's blanket all day. The fireplace is going...and I have been thinking of asking mom for a big warm bowl of CatSip all day. I mean, on a cold day like this...it's like chicken soup for kitties!

So good to be chatting with ya again pal!

What’s mew with you? It is a very cloudy☁ & rainy day here in southwest Mississippi. I am resting on our windowseat watching the raindrops☂ hit the window. Sissy is upstairs napping in her hammock in the scrapbooking room and Casper Todd is nestled in Nana’s lap in her recliner (where he ALWAYS is). So we are each doing our own thing.

Hope your day is sunnier☀than ours. No we don't get much snow here in MS, although in 2010 it snowed 3 times.

I will try to answer your question about the bugs. Nano hexbugs are little battery-operated bugs that behave like real bugs. They flip over by themselves and they look like a roach. You can see a picture of two nano hexbugs in the 1st photo on the 3rd row at the bottom of my page. The nano bugs like to play in a cardboard box or a box top. Tell your Mom that she can find them in the children’s toy department at Walmart. I think you would really enjoy playing with them.

It's good to hear from you. How were your holidays? We enjoyed Mommy’s 10 days off from work. She spent a lot of time with us, sleeping and eating. Our motto is . . . if it’s worth doing, it’s worth over-doing!

Santa Claws was very,very good to us. He brought me a track for my nano hexbugs, a PetStages flashing firefly mat that lights up, some goldfish, & a new food mat that says “Where is that darn waitress?” (photos on bottom of my page) He brought my sisters some catnip purrmuda triangles. Santa also brought Mommy a new Dell Inspiron 17 inch laptop with a pink Chicago Cubs lid and a pink & black monogrammed zebra stripe case. Nana got a Nook Color and PawPaw got mew Taylor Made golf clubs. What did Santa Paws bring you?

I always enjoy getting notes from you.

Yep...I shredded my mom's veil a few days before her wedding. It was just so irresistible to me. It was long and it had all these shiny sparkly things all over it. Mom had hung it on the back of her bedroom door so that the wrinkles could fall out of it...and I just jumped all over it and shredded it to tiny pieces...I made mom cry. I felt really bad about it afterward...I did. She was really scared to tell her grandmother that I had ruined the veil because she had spent a lot of money on it. So mom went out and found a replacement that er grandmother never even knew was a replacement.

So your mom had a kitty that was groovified all the time...wow! What's that like? I can imagine he must have been very difficult to engage in any sort of games or playful behavior.

Things around here are kinda slow. It's so hot that I don't want to do anything fast...MOL! It's in the uper 90s...so I do everything super slow....and in the line of a/c...what do you do to stay cool Ollie?

I know I just ate some ten minutes ago,
But I felt in the mood for a snack.
And, lo and behold, when I looked in my dish,
I saw the dish bottom look back.
See? Come and see if I'm telling the truth!
Oh... this has upset me severely!
Yes I know there's kibble on that side and this,
but I can see dish-bottom clearly!

I stared in the dish and I measured the place
that was empty, and let out a cry!
What if I finished this part and that part?
It would all be dish-bottom! I'd die!
How can you cruelly ignore my complaint?
The kibble was low, and you knew it!
You're acting as if it was piled to the rim,
while I can see dish-bottom through it!

I nibbled some here and I nibbled some there
and I dropped one or two, being furious.
But nothing improved in this tragic affair,
the state of my dish is so serious!
I'm not kidding! Oh, please come and see the bare spot
on the dish bottom, do as I wish!
Then I guess you don't care if I'm starving or not,
so I'll eat from the MerryBelle’s dish.

Great to be back meowing with ya buddy!

Well, as for the catnip, I'm always in the mood for it, but I'm very mellow when I get it...not quite lovey dovey like you...but not super charged like your sister. I tend to get very "groovified". I like to just lay back and snooze or just purr contently after having catnip.

MOL...the redneck wedding thing gave my mom a laugh (and she could use one). She noticed at her brother's wedding last month how there were so many people who seemed to be under dressed for the occasion.

Yes! People do look very different when they dress up! I remember seeing my mom on her wedding day in the video...she had forgiven me for shredding her (expensive) wedding veil that made her cry the week before (we'll talk more about that later), wow was she different that how she looks around the house!

What’s mew with you? We enjoyed Mommy being home from work with us last week. We ate & napped lots, plus we scrapbooked too! And guess what?! All three of us had hairballs last week. First it was Casper Todd, then MerryBelle and lastly I was barfy with a nasty hairball. Now Mommy thinks she is getting one too! It must be catching! tee hee.

We sure did miss our CC furiends while we were offline last week, although we did enjoy our little break. It’s good to be back.

How was your 4th? We enjoyed a nice, long weekend. Thankfully it was quiet with no fireworks near us. We received some much-needed rain late yesterday, but it is still really hot & humid here in southwest Mississippi. Mommy says the water in our pool is too hot for her. I don’t go near the pool, but I do like to go outside in our backyard. Sissy does not like the outdoors too much and after Casper Todd was so very sick in 2009, he is no longer allowed outdoors. I don’t stay out too long at a time because of the awful heat. Nana & Mommy make me come indoors. They ruin all my fun!

Congrats to your Mom on her new job. Best of luck to her.

The temperature was high 81 & low was 47 this morning, now it's 80 feels like 79 with humidity 30% & wind is 10 MPH. Tuesday's suppose to be Sunny☼ & High 85.

Mom had to go to Wal*Mart this morning and got some of the monthly food and supplies for home. Mom will probably go to PetSmart later this week for our food and litter. When she got back home, mom took us in the front yard. We didn't get to stay out too long as our neighbor man decided to mow his yard.

Mom and dad worked on the wire door for the girls' room as it needed the wood shaved down in places for it to close good then they put a lock on it. Mom forgot to buy handles for it so that will be next time when she goes to the store.

Dad and his nephew panned a little gold yesterday so at least they got something to show for their efforts. Tehehehe!!!!

Most of the outside kitties are in hiding now and probably won't be seen til way after midnight. Mom still checks anyways plus she will be comforting some of us inside. I don't usually get scared, but Whyskrs 10378 really gets upset and scared.

Oscar Jon #198409 told this reporter that he often pushes it off of the chair so he can roll in it too, but thinks his mom doesn’t know that little secret about him. Oscar #198409 is a very well behaved cat that also has the special talent of knowing when his mom’s blood sugar has dropped. He’ll jump onto the bed to wake her up when he realizes something is wrong & she credits him for saving her life at least twice because of his awareness to her condition. We've gotta tell your mom that me and you gotta meow. Us hefty kitties need our meow time...MOL!

Okay...I think I can explain to mom about the mousies now, I was a bit confuzzled...but I think I got it. Fold the string in half THEN start making knots...right?

MOL....that's so funny that you would slap the doggie...I would do that with the same doggie that I would ride like a horse! That doggie was black too...they called that doggie a "mini lab"...not sure why, but mom says she looked exactly like a Labrador with legs half the size they should be. Go figure. One of the other doggies was a Pomapoo...again, not sure what that means either...but boy talk about high strung! I think this doggie must have drank some of the human coffee on a daily basis because it never seemed to stop bouncing and running and yipping and yapping! I slapped her a lot too. I don't live with those doggies anymore...because me and mom live with dad now...and those doggies belong to mom's grandmom.

So your mom's a fan of Cat College too? My mom has been really enjoying it. She just finished up her last session in 500...she was a little bummed that she finished with a 93%..she was hoping to finish with at least a 95% to snag an Honors diploma...but I think she still did pawsome (mom's a little bit of an overachiever, but don't tell her I said that...MOL)!

So you just had a wedding too? My uncle (my mom's brother) just got married last weekend (6/4)...and boy was it the longest day of my LIFE!!! Mom was gone from home for too long...it saddens me just to think of it now...all day, no mom! And to top it off, I had asked her to snag me some ham from the reception...and guess what... she comes home...and NO HAM!! What a JIP!

My goodness, I'm sorry to hear of the flooding. Is life in and near the mountains often like this or is this a bit unusual occurrence?

Sweet little Patches was homeless and wandering around when her future meowmy found her. Her mom had recently lost her calico and was just out taking a walk when fate brought the two together. Patches now happily shares her home with her two fursiblings, Julius and Freckles, and some canines her mom thankfully keeps away from her. She enjoys watching her mouse in the cage and sleeping on the couch. And she will eat just about anything except human food and who can blame her? Humans eat some weird stuff, don't they? MOL. Hiya Oliver!

It's so great to get a note from you! I missed hearing from my new pal!

Sorry to hear that your mom has been under the weather....actually mine has been too...I've been giving her lots of kitty kisses and a few massages here and there to help her feel better. But, it seems that somehow I always end up falling asleep about 2 to 3 minutes into the massage! Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?

So Lil Bit got rescued from a house of doggies? Hmm...I used to live with a few doggies....but I tended to dominate them! I think I may have mentioned this before...but before my mom and dad got married, me and mom lived with my mom's grandmother...and my mom's grandmother had 3 dogs! And I was queen kitty...they had to do as I said! I wasn't mean to them...but they just had to understand that what I said was the way it went....no touching my stuff, no laying on my stuff,no eating my stuff, and for goodness sakes no dog drool on my stuff!! The biggest dog was the one that I would wait everyday in the same spot and jump on her back and ride her like a horse! MOL....boy was that fun! I'm really glad that Lil Bit got rescued and is in a much happier environment for her now...and she's got a pretty cool older brother.

My mom says that as soon as she finds a few old shoelaces she will try her hand at making me a few of those mousies! I hope I like them....I'd really hate for mom to go through all that knot tying and then I walk away totally uninterested, but she already knows that's a risk she takes....MOL!

You know, the sun's been shining here a lot more than usual too....on average we only get 65 sunny days per year! Yep, I know....that's really not much. But, we have been sunny almost everyday for a whole week. But this morning we had a really bad thunderstorm. The thunder was so strong it felt like the entire house was rumbling....and mom was shaking like a leaf! Mom really doesn't like severe weather either. Hopefully no more storms will pop up today...although the weather guy says it's possible.

So sorry to hear about your mom's friends in the flood areas.

So, how do you make a shoestring mousy? That sounds really interesting...and maybe fun!

Yep, my mom would love to catch my humming on camera. She thinks that I would automatically do it whenever she gives me my all time favorite thing to eat....ham! But, I only do it sometimes....most of the time I gobble the ham right up and start thinking of ways to con more ham out of mom within the next few minutes...I'm a ham junkie. And, sometimes I do it when I'm eating my normal food...but it's so sporadic that poor mom would have to sit with the camera ready 24 hours a day...one day she may catch that lightning in the bottle though!!

So you have a little sister? What's that like besides having a playmate? Was she always there with you or did she come awhile after you were living with your mom? MOL...that's so funny that she always starts the wrestling...little sisters!!

I see from your pics that you seem to have a fondness for boxes and bags...me too! Any box, no matter the size I try to squeeze myself into....even if it's a shoe box..or smaller...I try until I fit, or pulverize the box.

Yeah Mom has to play Catch up now on her house work after the Company left! its so funny you work so hard to get things looking extra nice, But then once company comes, it seems no one puts anything away, or back in the right spot and then looks worse then it did before company even came! Hi Oliver!!

Goodness...the weather here is so very hot! It's nearly 90 degrees here today...and it was about the same yesterday. I've spent the entire day laying on my back completely flattened out trying to catch a breeze...I'm mostly laying directly under the ceiling fan that's right above mom's bed. The bed is much easier on my back than the floor! Mom says I look like a black rug...MOL!

Oh, so you're a bit of a noisy eater? Well, don't feel so bad...sometimes I tend to hum when I eat...MOL! Yep, I do. Not all the time...mom wants to catch that on camera because she thinks it's so funny but I only do it sometimes and she can't seem to figure out when!

Some of my favorite games are fetch, which I will usually only play with mom, and with this crazy toy mouse that I have....I never play with this mouse otherwise...he's only good for fetching. I also love to play hide and seek in my cubie...but I'll only play that game with dad. I go into the cubie and I smack at dad's legs...which makes dad stoop down and we box each other through the hole in the cube...that's really fun. I also like to play feather tag...also a dad game...this is with a really long feather...and it's where dad gets the feather dangles it in front of me and I jump super high to get it, but he usually moves it just before I get it...sometimes he's too slow and I win!

I love doing that run under the bed thing too! I usually do it at bed time...when it's time for me to go into my room to sleep...I run under mom and dad's bed...and I sit and watch dad try to get me out. My one weak point in this is when mom shakes the treat jar to get me out...I can't resist that! One day over the weekend, I came out got my treat and DASHED super fast back under the bed!! MOL...gotcha dad!

What about toys? Got favorite toys?

We hope you had a good Memorial Day? Ours was quiet. Mom really likes to hear from you! She has to use the library computer so sometimes she doesn't get over there but she thinks about you alot! Next week we are getting another kitty brother so Ma might be really busy trying to get us all aclimated and what not! She fixed a special room with a screen door on it in the house.... We all are excited but nervous to be getting a new brother. He is a year old and not fixed yet so thats something Ma has to do too, right away. He will be going to the vets, the day after she picks him up!
We will have to look to see about your little shoelace mousie in the scrapbook section Oliver! We do have bunnies here, but none in our yard! Ma had a pet bunny once which we never knew but a cat that ma had before was Fancy's (bunny) best friend! When Noah came along he would beat Fancy up! Poor bunny!!!!!Well have to run! We are really having hot weather here now ! How's Montana? Hugs!
