How We Met
Well, our cat died about a year before we got Hula. We went up to our local animal shelter about every month to see if there was a cat there that caught our eye. One time we went up and met this kitten named Cream Puff. We were going to foster her, but the animal shelter staff said that she had diarrhea problems, so we decided not to. About a month later we went up again. That is when we met Hula ( called Gremlyn at the shelter because apparently when they took her in she was very fiesty). She was laying on a big pink and purple pillow that said angel on it. I ( Sophie ) started to pet her. As I was snuggling her she lost her balance and rolled off the pillow. We all laughed and thought that was very cute. Then we decided to buy her. She had captured our hearts. It took us two whole weeks to figure out a name for her. But in the end she was named Hula Girl. She became queen later on in the story. She has had a happy life with us.

Force people to throw you off their laps at least three times before conceding that they actually mean it.

Learn to watch everything even with your eyes closed.
Steer clear of wasps, bees, ants, and spiders. At best, they make iffy playmates; at worst, they're hazardous between-meal snacks.
For mild stomach upsets, eat plenty of grass. If that fails, try a little yogurt.
Always look astonished and perplexed when you break something, even if you meant to do it.

PLEASE READ
How is everyone going? Today ( 6/15/11 ) I have slept the whole day. Now it is around 4 in the afternoon and I have finally waken up from my fantastic beauty sleep. I would like to keep you informed of what is happening in Cohola Kitty ( Cat land, every cat lives in Cohola Kitty ). But before I start posting updates, I would like to give you a short history of Cohola Kitty.
So, a long time ago, it was in the early 1300's to be exact, a kitten was born. This kitten was named Cohola. Cohola's family was very poor, they did not have much purrs ( kitty dollars ). As Cohola grew up, she did everything she could for the town she was living in ( this town was called Meow ). When she reached the age 21 ( in cat years ), disaster struck. One of the two dog countries invaded Meow ( there are two dog countries, one that is called KulaKinakina; the one who is mean and the one called Caio which is nice). This was the revolution of Cohola Kitty. The war was very long, but the cats won. They rejoiced that now they had a country of there own ( they had fought over the state of Colorado ). But then they needed a leader and a name for their country. Everyone agreed that Cohola should be their leader, since she had donated so much to the community. Therefore, as a surprise to Cohola the cats of that time named the country Cohola Kitty.
Tomorrow I will tell you about how you elect a queen or a king, and how Cohola Kitty politics work. I ( Her Majesty Hula Girl; the current Queen of Cohola Kitty )encourages you to do the same as Cohola did; Donate to your local cat shelter!!

Hula and the Pillow Case
Here is a story about me. So about a week ago Sophie came downstairs and to sleep for the night. Purrfect I loved when she slept down there because I got to sleep with her. So Sophie woke up in the middle of the night with her head off her pillow when she started to put her head back on she saw that her pillow was unusually very high and puffy. So she thought oh no Hula girl is under here. So she lifted up the pillow but saw nothing unusual but a hanging lump. So she looked in her pillow case and saw me sleeping happily. So since it was the middle of the night she did not want to deal with getting me out of there so she laid her her head back down on the couch and went back to sleep, with me still curled up in her pillow case.Come visit me, Her Majesty Hula Girl.

Yowlin' in the Night - a story narrated by Hula
Yes, yes. Spot light on me, Hula Girl. Now, lets get on with the story. One night, my owners forgot to fill my food bowl. So in the middle of the night I was getting very hungry. So I decided I would sit in the hall and yowl as I had never yowled before. I succeeded in waking up Sophie & Honeybea. First Sophie came down. She said, "You are being really loud, Little Miss. Do you have any food?" Then Sophie checked my food bowl. "No, you don't have any food. Then she refilled my bowl. She was just about to put it back in my cage when Honeybea came downstairs. Sophie froze, not wanting to scare her. And as for me, I was still in the hall. Honeybea walked over to me and said, "Be quiet, Little One!" Then she checked the time and went back upstairs. DAILY CAT FACT
