Heaven made room for one more angel today. Our household queen, my precious Aurora, my patient companion for more than 18 years, has departed on a new journey. My sweet old girl chased those dancing ribbons into eternity, and I sat with her as they turned to angels wings.

Farewell, sweet queen, we loved you as much as we ever could. Nothing will ever be the same without you. Sail on!

Education: AURORA: During a flood here I found a cat wandering by herself. She had hurt her hip and was trying to get out of the rain. I took her home and tried to locate her owner but no one ever claimed her. I've had her since February 1994.

LOUIE was just the best. Even though he was just a baby, I swear he was an old soul in a young body. Louie was so wise. And he just seemed to know what to do all the time. He learned so fast.

Either he was an old soul, or somehow he knew he wouldn't be here long. He put in more love and more living than any cat I've ever known. He was a joy.

He made me smile, he made me laugh. That's why he was "my funny little guy".

BUSTER went through surgery to remove all his teeth when he was only 2. He was always patient and never complained. Then he developed kidney failure and had to have a number of medications, and frequent vet visits, He handled it well, but he reached a point when we knew he was getting tired of the trips.

OUR SWEET AND WONDERFUL ROCKY:
Rocky also won COTD and CROTD, but I was careless when I moved him to this page and forgot to check the dates before I deleted his old page, "Rocky's Reading Room". But he still deserves to be noted for those accomplishments- .

My favorite tricks and treats are: LOUIE - Wow! I did so many tricks there should be a circus named after me.

Mom's favorite was when I would jump straight up, flip around in midair, and come down facing the other direction.

My other good trick was waiting for "Pig" to finish his "mousse" so I could finish his leftovers. I always waited very patiently and never tried to butt in on Pig. Mom always thought I was so polite.

BUSTER - I never learned any tricks. I was sick most of my life, and it was a trick just trying to stay well
........ ........ ........ ........ .............. and LOUIE - my favorite treat of all was when mom would hold me in her arms and dance around, singing the "Louie Louie" song with me. Gosh, I used to love that!

Where I hang out: LOUIE - I always loved to sit behind the living room curtains on the chest with the sheepskin on it. It drove mom crazy when I would lay on the curtain. Sorry, Mom. I didn't mean to make to mad.

BUSTER - I used to like to sleep ON the sheepskin!

My favorite grubs: LOUIE - Whatever Mom fed me was okay with me.

BUSTER - Kitty mousse, mom made in the blender from canned food. Yum!

My pet peeves: LOUIE - None. I loved everybody and everything. Life is too short to be annoyed, but it's not too short to be annoying!

What I love about my owners: LOUIE & BUSTER - They rescued us when we were babies, and they loved us so much, and they had the courage to end our suffering when it was time for us to go. We love you guys. We always will. You did the right thing.

My cat hobbies: LOUIE - I used to steal twist ties and hide them under the bed, but my absolute favorite thing was begging for crackly cellophane. Oh man, that stuff was the best!

Okay, and so was having stare-downs with Smokey and Molly. It drove them crazy when I gave them the evil eye! Drove Mom crazy, too. Sorry, Mom.

BUSTER - I used to love to paddle in the fish pond with my front legs, just dangle all the way up to my elbows and paddle furiously!
