My aunt and uncle have a female cat that had kittens, and there were only two manxes.
My mom said he "was pulling on my heart strings" and my dad liked him too.

The first New Year's celebration dates back to around 2000 BC in Mesopotamia. The Times Square celebration began in 1904, when The New York Times opened its headquarters and hosted a big party, complete with fireworks, on New Year's Eve.
In 1907, the paper's head electrician constructed a giant lighted ball, made of wood and iron, weighed 700 pounds, and was lit by a hundred 25-watt bulbs.
Today, it's made of Waterford crystal, weighs almost six tons, and is lit by more than 32,000 LED lights. The party in Times Square is attended by up to a million people every year.
Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but New Year's celebrations can be so delightful! And since you've got a place to go--to see the ball fall--let us go, let's go, here we go!
Other cities have developed other ball-dropping traditions:
Atlanta, Georgia, drops a giant peach.
Eastport, Maine, drops a sardine.
Ocean City, Maryland, drops a beach ball.
Mobile, Alabama, drops a 600-pound electric Moon Pie. Tempe, Arizona has a giant tortilla chip which descends into a massive bowl of salsa.
Brasstown, North Carolina drops a Plexiglas pyramid containing a live possum.
Key West, Florida, drops an enormous ruby slipper with a drag queen inside it.

my friend where are u i am getting worried
we didnt get on over the weekend as momma was real busy canning her home made veggie soup. yep it is that time of year for her, cannin and freezing stuff from the garden. she works pretty hard at it every year.
at least we have cooled down just a bit into the upper 90's instead of the 100's callin for rain next couple days with storms in some places. sure hope the bad weather misses us but we get some of the rain
our thunderfoot is fixin to start takin flying lessons with k pete so he can join the royal pilots for the castle. and help out shadowfoot and angel scooter with some of the trips . and k pete is gonna let us keep one of the jets at home for our use in gettin to the castle how cool is that

VOTE MINUIT 219773 COTD JUNE 27TH
My name is Minuit (Pronounced Menew- its French for Midnight) and I’m running for COTD June 25th! My mother was a pregnant stray who wandered into our yard and had her litter of kittens here and I was one of them! After no one claimed us, my owners took us all in and gave us all a forever home. I am now a happy 8 year old Maine Coon mix I enjoy chasing wild birds but I hate going to the vet! (Who does?) I am the brother of Tibbs Kibbie, and the twins Thomasina and Taffy I now have a shriveled up ear after some type of bug bite caused my ear to swell up and it shrunk when it was drained (Now that’s a reason why to not like going to the vet!) so I look kind of funny now, but I’m hard to get pix of so I don’t think I have any on my page showing it. momma's thumb is still a little swelled but getting better, but she still cant do much with it like picking up stuff and holding stuff. shadowfoot is doing just fine after his bum mishap!! hhhaaaaaaaa
we are all fine here and dry. no rain from the big storm down on the coast tho we could sure us some as we are behind on rainfall.
well thundie has been busy doing the spokesman's part for the motorcycle club but i think he has gotten it all done for today.

momma was with some of her and daddy's friends and they were by one of thems pickup and someone slammed the door on momma's right hand. it caught her thumb and the tip of her ring finger. the finger is kinda purple still but is oky. it boogered up the lowest joint in her thumb tho and it is all swelled but not broken and it is gettin better, she can use it a little now
is heading to the 90's here also. momma closed the windows and turned on the a/c cause daddy was grumping bout it being hot
momma would rather have the open windows and fans so she can hear the critters at nite and the birdies early in the mornin

you have to get somebody else to nominate you as it happened to us twice and then surprised us like that! guess what's new here? we have a newly adopted little sister which nat adopted yesterday from the same shelter as ana came from 5 years ago this august! she's a 2 year old domestic short haired tiger named haley. she looks a lot like janet's first/only kitty furry rear who was 28 and our first angel. we hope to meet her this coming weekend or early next week well before janet/nat leave for 4 days in maine 24-27 and nat's overnight to umass 28-29 for orientation. sandy, ana, haley, angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

What a pretty new pic!! It is COLD & wet here too. Finally, after getting all the bacon out of mom I could get this morning, I got mom to answer my kitty letters!! What is a girl to do when she is on a cruise & tries to get mom to keep up?? Sam & I are having a wonderful time & we are sooooooo excited about our Momcat, Gracie, being nominated for July’s COTM!! I sure hope you will be going to Gracie’s Full Moon Pawty with us. We left lots of catnip champagne & lots of rare prime rib for the party already!! The 25th of this month, my Sam & I will be married a whole year!! Where has the time gone? I know it has been lonely at time with Sam away on CIA missions, I am thankful to have sooooo many wonderful CC friends to keep me company. We hope to be on more regularly now. Mom got 2 shots in her knee last week & it still hurts a lot, but Dr said it could take 2 weeks to reach its full effect. It is tender & stiff, but with my nursing, mom is making progress!! I hope you will think about entering the June contest – theme is June is for Love!! That means all kinds of love – puppy love, kitty love, angel love, friend love, mom or dad love, love encompasses everything. Must scoot, Sam & Q.
