My favorite tricks and treats are: Yes, our biggest kitty (Carbon) who is 20 pounds cowers when Maisie gives him "the look" and To come under the covers in the morning and snuggle before it's time to get up
Where I hang out: Unusually (I guess!) she likes to burrow under the bed covers, and paws without her claws as if "digging" to a deeper spot, then will lay down and fall asleep for countless hours - you don't even know she is there because she is so tiny- 4 .8 lbs at 4 years old!
My favorite grubs: Whatever someone else is having
My pet peeves: Anyone else taking away from attention to her!
What I love about my owners: She took me even though she said 4 kitties was her limit!
My cat hobbies: Get under the covers when she knows I am awake and hide out on my stomach
Pet motto: My name means "Light" in Scottish

How We Met
I had been looking for a special "fourth" kitty to compliment our other family members (all rescues) CARBON, our dominant, but gentle 15 pound Russian Blue with paralyzed tail from mistreatment, 12 pound Princeton (Maine Coon stray who had been shaved down and spray painted by a group of teens (!) and REESE- a mud puddle of a mutt who could not be adopted out due to her refusal to clean herself (which she recovered from once in a loving home!) After visiting 6+ kitties to find what I thought would be our "final" adoptee, we adopted LYRIC- a shy but beautiful 4 year old Maine Coon/Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes....we had applied for a special kitty at another shelter, and it turned out she was very much in need of a home...SO....I went to see her and fell in love with her petite frame (75% of her seems to be her big green eyes!) I started singing the old Helen O'Connell tune "GREEN EYES" to her and she came out and sat with me and purred. The shelter folks were EXTREMELY KIND- waiting for me on a Saturday since I was coming from far away and I arrived 45 minutes after closing....this showed me how much they really wanted to find a wonderful "older" animal a great home...so we took her in and she is a joy...

You are an adorable kitty! No wonder the shelter went all out for your best interest and stayed open late so you can get a new home. It was very touching to read your story.

Hi there maisie!
Yes, you would comment on my page, but it is fie either way really:)
I can't wait for fall! Sometimes, the air will smell just like rain an wet leaves... Oh how my meow-my (mommy in kitty talk mew mew) misses it! Mew see, our old home was small and cozy with maple and birch trees. This new home has zero maples and one baby birch and then just some oak and tons of pine. The house is big too which results in a nice looking home, but not very cozy at all. My meow-my likes it enough though.

Thank you for reading about me and voting for me. I can use the "vote of confidence"! My original owner age me up after 4 1/2 years due to "allergies". I don't know what I did to cause her to be allergic to me after so long but am happy to have a new loving home!
