A little more about me
My first year with my mommy I decided to take over the christmas tree and claim it as my own tree. Now that I am bigger and older mommy has to tie the tree down to a cemet brick. What a spoiled brat I have become and I do not like it when my christmas tree gets messed with even by my mommy.

This year I decided to become really rotten and started to remove the decorations along with a light and socket from the strand of lights on the christmas tree. I put 5 decoations on the floor and my own little puppy mommy got for me got ahold of 3 of them. Boy, was mommy mad. So my mommy decided to remove the decorations from the tree and the brat that I am started to hit her but that didn't stop mommy.

I still think that I can lay in the tree so mommy has to keep fluffying the tree.

Time to start forming a new plan for next year!!! What will I do next year to the christmas tree????? Any ideas?????

Emmeline Goulden was born in 1858. She married Richard, an attorney, in 1879 to Richard. He shared her convictions about women's rights. He drafted the bill giving married women absolute control over their property and earnings, a bill, which became law in 1882.

She was a striking, charismatic woman and an inspiring speaker. "Perhaps it is difficult to rouse women, they are long-suffering and patient, but now that we are roused, we will never be quiet again." In June 1918 British women over age 30 won the right to vote. On July 2, 1928, just three weeks after her death, a law was passed allowing all women over the age of 21 to vote. Her 3 daughters benefited from her steadfast campaign for social justice.

On November 11th, we remember the brave fallen. We owe so much to the sacrifices of a very few.

**End of WWI in 1918: A day for Reflection**
In 1918, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, hostilities between the Western Allies and Germany ceased, effectively ending what was until then the bloodiest conflict in human history.

The phrase “at the 11th hour” is biblical (Matthew 20:6 — “And about the eleventh hour) and it is understood to mean “at the very last possible minute.”

After the war, a park was created at the site called the Clairiere de L’Armistice (the Clearing of the Armistice). A concrete pavilion was built to house the rail car, and a statue of Foch was erected along with a plaque that read: “Here on the eleventh of November 1918 succumbed the criminal pride of the German empire ... vanquished by the free peoples which it tried to enslave.”

Jupiter rules the night in November 2011 as it shines and beams, like a lighthouse, in the east moving westward and upward from evening dusk until morning dawn.
Meteors in annual showers originate as grains of dust or ice in space, left behind by comets. After midnight, the part of Earth you’re standing on has turned so that you face head on into the incoming stream of space debris. So you typically see more meteors after midnight – unless the moon happens to rise in the middle of the night. Although the moon may wash out some Leonid meteors, it acts as your guide to the meteor shower radiant and the red planet Mars.
The annual Leonid meteor shower ramps up a few additional streaks of light and gets underway in November 6. With the Moon currently waxing toward Full, the best views will come before dawn tomorrow and Tuesday in the hour or two after the Moon sets. Astronomers expect the shower to peak the night of November 17/18.

We gain an hour of sleep this weekend!! Dayllight savings comes to an end at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. With the clocks turned back, it will be less dark in the morning but darkness will fall earlier in the evening. Arizona, Hawaii and Puerto Rico stay on standard time all year round.
The concept of daylight-saving time may have first been proposed by Benjamin Franklin in 1784 to the Parisians. The thought was that Americans would appreciate an extra hour of sunlight and conserve energy (candles and oil back then).
Transitions may disrupt chronobiologic rhythms and influence the duration and quality of sleep as the effect lasts for several days after the shift. People who suffer with sleep disorders seem to find the bi-annual transitions more difficult. The extra hour of sleep means a lost hour of afternoon sun, which increases reliance on electricity and decreases the potential for, vitamin D-giving outdoor activities. Nearly half of the world’s population has lower than optimal levels of vitamin D, often called the sunshine vitamin.

Let the sun shine everywhere
The sun is shining despite the dark clouds looming overhead ... sort of describes the world's battle against hunger.

Lost in a maze craze
((¯`v´¯))Octo*ber news VOTE!((¯`v´¯))

You can grow it, shuck it, pop it, cook it and even play in it. It seems to be less about eating it and more about getting lost in it as the newest form of "agritainment". Some stumble onto the correct pathways and exit the maze in minutes; the more directionally-challenged wander the puzzles for up to several hours. Still a fun, clean, educational and unique recreation for all ages.

A couple got lost at Connors Farm's corn maze in Danvers, MA. It has a scale difficulty of 9 out of 10. They were rescued by a K-9 police 25 feet from the exit as darkness fell. All's well that ends well.

Another warm beautiful day in NH, hope it lasts !!

Fall’s changing colors are linked to cooling temperatures, decreasing sunlight and soil moisture. Chlorophyll gives plants their green color. Glucose is trapped in the leaves after photosynthesis stops. Sunlight and the cool nights in autumn cause the leaves to turn glucose into colors which become visible after the chlorophyll disappears.
The bright red and purple fall foliage colors come from anthocyanin pigments, orange colors from carotene and yellows from xanthophyll. Different combinations of these pigments give us a wide range of colors each fall. Brown fall foliage colors come from tannin, a bitter waste product.
