How We Met
Ewok was listed as a long term resident at Montgomery County Animal Shelter (MCAS). We picked her up out of her kennel, and she was the only cat we picked up that let us just hold and cuddle her. Therefore, she became our furry child.

We live in Santa Cruz, CA, on the CA Coast 75 miles South of San Francisco. We live just on the edge of the city. Near a big gully that comes down from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Our Mom is our warden, keeps us indoors. We have lots of wildlife, so we are indoor kitties. Mom doesn’t mind the deer, skunks (except for the smell - pee-U!) or ‘possum, doesn't want a raccoon, fox or coyote to snack on us. We tend to agree!

Shelby is a very beautiful kitty. She’s not quite a year old and has a wonderful fun filled life ahead of her. She’s currently focusing her attention on five sweet kittens rescued and hand raised by her gramma and granpa. Hi Ewok and Simon, Thank you so much for dashing by with a COTD Vote for my COTD campaign! I really really appreciate it. Dad asked me if I was running as a Democrat or as a Republican. I said “MOL Dad! I’m a cat so that means I’m Independent!” Of course my sister Sparkles disagreed with that. She says I’m pretty dependent on my family (I guess she’s right…but that’s okay!)
Oh yes I certainly run a lot. Mom says she doesn’t think I even know how to walk! She (and Dad too) have learned to stand still when they hear me coming. Otherwise, like you said - I’ll run them over!! MOL!

Hello CC kitties! Today we are happy to bring your attention to a very special kitty named Dasher #225951. This handsome Maine Coon kitty was waiting patiently at the shelter for a special someone to come and make him part of a loving family. On December 9th, 2011 his patience paid off, for indeed a very special lady did come in to meet him and it was love at first sight.
At first Dasher’s #225951 family named him “Kringle” since it was so close to Christmas when they adopted him and they thought that name was fitting for this fine fellow. But soon Dasher let his mommy and daddy know what his true name was and that was “Dasher” #225951 as he dashed from one end of the house to the other, full of energy and happiness at being in his forever home. Dasher soon found a companion in his sister, Sparkles K., even though she wasn’t too thrilled to have a new baby brother enter her world. But after a few weeks Dasher #225951 and his sister became friends and have been keeping their parents entertained and loved ever since. Dasher has learned the ways of his sister and they both love to chase after hair ties shot out from their mom’s hand. Dasher loves to watch birds and other creatures from the many windows of his loving home. When it is time for bed and sleep, Dasher #225951 is under the covers right up next to his mommy all night long.
This sweet and special kitty would be so honored to have a COTD badge for his very own to show to his mom, dad, sister and the rest of the CC community. Handsome Yoda was born in paradise on St. Johns, Virgin Islands and while he liked his human family, he did not like their neighbors and chose to go off on his own for 2 years until they moved to a more peaceful location where he miraculously found them again. He now happily resides with numerous fursiblings, including his brother, Easy Going. Yoda is cross-eyed, but he doesn't let that stop him from doing anything and everything a normal cat does. He enjoys laying around and watching the world go by, hanging out in the catery, on the roof or the deck. Please paw on by his page 225821 and leave him a vote for his very own COTD badge.
