May 6, 2013--- Guess its about time!
Good Monday Morning! Have a super day! We want to apologize that it has been forever since we did a good round of blogging on CC. Now we are doing a c/p and do have to apologize to you. We are well and have told a few friends that mom is planning a big trip to visit family in Norway this summer. Also, a cousin from Norway will be returning here for a visit after. Mom has to do some painting and work on the house too or arrange for it to be done. Kitty care and a house-sitter is arranged. Doggy care is in the works. Mom got her e-ticket and her Passport came Saturday.

We also feel guilty that K.Barney did promise continued stories time to time and so far we have not! Well, we do have one for today, but will have to keep it short. Not a story mom is too proud of, because she should have listened to Angel Pasha, who you met during our Catpaign. One summer night he bit her arm to wake her out of a sound sleep and then ran to the window. To mom's credit she looked out, but did not see anything, so chased Pasha from their room. He tried to protest and kept running to the window, but mom still did not see anything and did not investigate further. Well, she did lean her lesson----- in the morning she talked to her neighbor and found out he had been gone that night and his house was robbed! Mom felt so guilty that she had not done more, but she was so tired and did not see or hear anything from where she was. She sure learned that cats may have more of a sense when something is wrong than most humans realize. Of course, there are still times when we kitties just can't sleep and we want some company.

'stuff' has been happening around here! So much,that I am way behind on my blogs! First,thanks on the well wishes for mom's mother...she is now out of rehab as of this past Wednesday,and at home. Then mom spent a lot of time deleting pages and making mew ones...the woman just can't make up her mind! Changes were also made in the cat enclosure! Dad shut off the down stairs part so he could plant some grass in it,but the boys are NOT happy about it! Brother Dixion is no longer confined to the enclosure,as he was so unhappy,he was getting very depressed and aggressive to the others,so mom let him out. Andy(inside boy) kept dashing out the door so much that mom let him GO!,because she feared he would trip her or dad up trying to escape! Now,we live out in the country,and WAY off the road,otherwise mom would never have let them out. Second,mom has an appointment with an orthopedic doc,as it seems she might have a torn meniscus in her right knee. She has had that surgery on the left,so knows the drill! Sorry for being so long-winded today,so I will wish you a happy Sunday and I am going to take a nap!~Purrs,Bart

It seems like just yesterday that I was a cute little six week old kitten, and now I’m all grown up & weigh over 15 pounds. No matter how big or old I get, I will always be Mommy’s little baby boy,

How are you this fine Monday? We are alright. just keeping momma company is all. Mom stayed in her jammies all day cause she did not feel like getting dressed and she had no place to go anyway.

It's been a mixture of wet snow and freezing rain all day today. Supposed to be cold and nasty all week long. Tomorrow mom has to take Jesse to the Vet for his distemper shot. I don't think he knows it yet. I was on the couch with mom when snhe called the Vet for the appt.

We changed all our profile pix and avatars for the Easter Season now. Working on the Avatars is kinda hard, but we took out time and we each did our own and we think they look kinda nice...what do you think?

I went and put up the schedule for WED night already. I am hosting again. I can do that as long as KCK has no game, it would kinda hard for me with us playing, maybe after I get more experience I can do it. Plus there's only 4 games, so it will be easier for me.

Happy St Patrick's Day! A Frosty +7 here!
Good morning friends. Thought we would try to make a round again on CC both of kitties we regularly visit and those new friends and some we don't know yet. Got to make this a c/p. We are still waiting to see if Zeus will have found his forever home. Spring has come and their are all lot more kitties on the streets that need rescue. no-kill rescues fill fast. Kill shelters are not a good option for us kitties anyway. That is why mom keeps doing what she does.

We are all well and healthy. The dogs have their physicals coming up April first--- April Fools dogs! When mom comes to pick you up from the vet, after staying there for Easter, they are not done with you! Shots coming up too, he-he. Think Handy Andy has a rabies shot due the end of April, but the rest of us are later in the summer.

The weather is still ice and snow here, with more snow coming this week--- will it never end? Sorry Barney still hasn't done any more stories, but promise we will work on that. Still have to get more pictures posted of our past kitties on the Inspiration page. Will try to label those too. Mom still has to do taxes and we hope that means a refund coming back-- we hope!

Now we are on our way to Pawty with Pushkin and all the other Irish kitties and then on to MHL mouse hockey tonight.

We live 120 miles from Atlanta,so it is a nice day trip for us. We have been many times,because dad goes to the V.A. Clinic there for his eyes. It would sure be nice to meet your mom! It is one of moms fondest dreams to meet more CC moms(and dads!)Maybe we can arrange it,if she would like to! Did you know(you probably do) that Gin Gin and her mom Mary live in Atlanta? What kind of work does your mom do,that she gets to travel! Let us know and perhaps your mom can e-mail mine. If you don't have it,it gets sent out in group e-mails(Sara Belvin) looking forward to hearing from you,and almost forgot...VERY glad that Sandra is better towards you! We have a wet, dreary day today. It is 50* and raining. Been raining all day and is supposed to rain all night and all week. Yesterday we had 61* and sunny skies, but it was windy. We got to go outside in the yard and enjoy the sunny day and mom cleaned up a little bit in the yard.

I hope we will not get anymore snow though. It is almost Spring and Baseball will soon start. But we remember one Opening Day there was a blizzard and they had to postpone the game.

Mom is going crazy in the house. She is bored. She was used to working 20+ years and now she is out of a job and going crazy trying to find to find things to do. She is trying to find a job so she can work at home on her computer, but can't find anything like that yet.

If mom had lots of money she could go somewhere, but we are not rich and mom doesn't have a lot of money in the bank, so she can't travel very much.

In the Spring mom can go outside and tend to her garden, plant flowers, and stuff and ride her bike, but right now...not a lot can be done.

Stopping in for a visit,vote and hoping you have had a great week-end! Levi's passing left a hole in moms heart,but a new Tom kitty has been hanging around,and he is determined to try and fill it! He looks like our brother Samson,and mom thinks they may be related! There is a pic of him on my page,5th row,1st pic! Mom is calling him Freddie(The Freeloader). She won't take him to a vet yet,as she is still working on his socialization! If he hangs around, then she will have him neutered and shots. Will keep you posted on his progress!~Purrs,Bart

Oh your auntie will have a wonderful time on the riverboat cruise. Natchez is only about 30 miles from us. It has many great restuarants & shops. Tell her to be sure and visit Fat Mama's in Natchez if she has time.

Vicksburg is about 1 1/2 hours north of us. Nana's brother & his family live there. They also have some yummy restuarants & nice shops like Zza Zza's. Hope she has a fun time. Be sure and let us know where all she visits.

How was your weekend? Ours was nice, but very cold. And guess what?! We even had some ❄snow flurries❅❆Caturday here in southwest Mississippi. Mommy & Nana attended a scrapbooking crop. We stayed home where it was warm & quiet.

Since today is Learn What Your Name Means Day, Mommy did a little research. Merry means mirthful, joyous and Belle = beauty, fair, lovely one. Yes those descriptions fit me purrrfectly!

Mom and I are ok! It was Levi who was ill,and mom was taking some time from CC to be with him,and get some other things done around the house. Levi passed yesterday,with help from our vet. His liver,pancreas and heart was shutting down due to lymphoma! Mom is very upset,as she bottle raised him from two weeks of age,and was her baby! He was only four years ! ~Purrs,Bart

What’s mew? It was another dark ☁ and stormy ☂ day here in southwest Mississippi yesterday. Today it is chilly & very windy. As many of you know, our 91 year old great-grandmother (Nana’s Mom) fell at the nursing home yesterday. She went by ambulance to the hospital for xrays which thankfully did not show any broken bones. She is very bruised & sore. MeMe is tiny, weighing only 105 lbs and she has Alzheimer’s. She does not even remember falling. So please keep MeMe and our worried Nana in your prayers as this is a very stressful time for our family.

Hope your Mom had a nice vacation.

The temperature was high 57 & low was 35 this morning, now it's 56 with humidity 64% & wind is 9 MPH N. Friday's suppose to be Mostly Sunny☼ & High 55.

♥ Mom went to lie down late last night to sleep when she started feeling sick then had to go to the bathroom. Her dinner came up cuz she ate late and not used to lying down on such a stuffed tummy. She's feeling better now.

♥ The big brown truck stopped here last night to deliver a big box from Dish Network to mom so she could pack the DVR/Receiver and such which mom did this morning and shipped it off thru UPS.

♥ Whyskrs 10378 did it again at waking mom up several times throughout the night and Bahneetah 10641 did it once while I was a good boy and still sleeping!!!!

♥ When mom got back from shipping that box off and came back home, she gave dad a hair cut then dad decided to work on mom's computer chair with digging all the fur, lent and mom's hair out of the wheels. Mom helped him then mom WD 40 the wheels. Now she can really roll!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ Mom picked up Sylvester 11567 this afternoon when she went out to feed the outside kitties and she held him for awhile with kissing his head. He usually let's mom hold him briefly, but this time she held him longer.

Thank you for pawing by last week to check on me after my teeth cleaning. I did really well, Mommy was the nervous one. I am brave, Mommy not so much! Now my choppers are all white & shiny! I am still sleeping a lot, mostly in Nana’s lap. That might have a lot to do with our weather.

It has been raining here since yesterday & is still raining today. We are under a Flash Flood Watch. We are supposed to receive between 5 and 7 inches of rain from yesterday through tomorrow. Unreal. Yesterday we were under a Tornado Watch all day until 11 p.m.. Several tornadoes touched down in south Mississippi yesterday. The biggest one was in Hattiesburg which is about 2 hours south of us. It damaged over 300 homes & buildings and more than 60 people were injured. Mommy’s alma mater USM (University Of Southern Mississippi) was heavily damaged. The news said it looked just like when Hurricane Katrina came through there. So sad to see so much destruction and lives changed in an instant. Please keep everyone affected by those tornadoes in your prayers.

2/7/13 Finally on CC --- Happy Thursday!
King Barney here, I hope. We will see when I finish this blog and hope I can at least post it to this page and on the CMR. Will do as much delivery as CC allows. We take it that everyone has been having problems too. Other than last night and today, everything has been going well around the castle. Mom's left knee is hurting, so she is trying to rest it today.

Well today's story is a rather short one about mom's first kitten, not counting college days. It was about a year after she began living at home with Gmeow, just before A.Pasha came into the picture. Her mom's cousin Katie and her husband lived just outside a small town in Minnesota on 80 acres of wooded land. They called their home the Tall House in the Woods and it was one of mom's favorite places to visit. Katie loved cats and rescued many during her lifetime. Katie is still alive, but has severe health issues and is no longer able to live in her home and is in a care facility.

Anyway, one day mom was visiting Katie and Katie had a momcat and litter of six kittens that had been abandoned in the woods. She knew they were abandoned, because the mom and kittens were all friendly and allowed her to handle them. Mom played with the kittens that day and when she was ready to leave, Katie brought her one of the kittens, a boy named Tigger and told mom to take him home. Mom protested that she couldn't. Gmeow didn't like cats and she couldn't. Well, Katie wasn't taking no for an answer. She gave mom a litter box and litter, a kitty bed and bowls, so the kitten went home with mom. Gmeow wasn't happy, but mom promised to keep the kitten in her room and kept her promise for sometime--- a few months anyway.

Well, today's story is not merely about how mom got her first kitten, but also about Tigger's first best friend. You will remember that at this time, mom did not have any other pets, so Tigger was very special to her. If she knew all the dangers of cats going outside that she does now, this friendship might never have happened. Anyway, Tigger was in the backyard and mom went out to look for him. She heard him climbing around in a large pine tree and went to call him down. The tree had thick branches and mom stood right next to it, trying to figure out where Tigger was. Just then a head popped out, but it wasn't Tiggers--- it was a grey squirrel! Then, another head close behind--- Tigger! Mom quickly went to rescue Tigger, thinking the squirrel was after him. She took him inside to safety. Well, that might have been the end of the story, but the next day mom heard scratching on the screen door--- The grey squirrel was hanging on it, as if to ask it Tigger could come out to play! Tigger was at the door in a flash--- and wanted out to play with his friend.

Well, that is the story for today and now mom needs a bit of purr therapy after remembering that story and her very special Tigger cat. Remember to vote for Josiemae#193862, so she can be your Queen of March.

We are so happy to hear from your and are glad you are enjoying your life in your new home. Very happy to hear mom is feeling better. Hope it keeps up. As you may have heard we have a new addition. An 8 week old kitten was wandering in the parking lot meowing its little head of. Mom went and caught her and found she was starving and all her little bones were showing. She also had a puncture wound from a dog bite that had abscessed. Mom took her to the vet where they did all the test for disease and parasites dewormed her and cleaned her ears and gave her earmite medicine. The abscess was bad and she had to have surgery and a drain tube. She goes back Wed to have the drain removed. She is a sweet little doll and loves to be held and petted. She is eating like a horse and being cooperative with her meds. She laid on moms lap to watch the Super Bowl. Mom was bummed the 49ers lost but was glad they made a game of it.

Hey,we are so glad you guys are back! I was missing you! Mom went to town today,as she didn't have to work,and bought our food......and me a mew collar! She even bought extra bells to put on it! Thought I would start the New Year off with some 'little know' facts about the Peach State Cats! I hope you enjoy and I will start with myself...

BART~nicknamed Booger Boy-REASON: I got sick and nearly died shortly after mom adopted me. My little eyes stayed crusted shut with what mom called 'eye boogers',and she would bathe them open every morning while talking softly to me,calling me her Booger Boy....the name stuck,just like the eye crud!

SMUDGE~Will meow his fool head off for mom and dad to pet him,then keep j-u-s-t out of reach so they can't,leading then around the yard!

GROWLIE~Won't let anyone but mom pet him!

SAMSON~ADORES being petted! He had rather mom pet him than eat,and will even 'grab' moms hand if she pulls it away!

CHARLIE~ His shelter name was ARMANI,but even though it suited his good-looking tux,mom changed it because dad would never have remembered it!

DIXON~Has a very high-pitched meow! No one takes him serious when he tries to be aggressive! I mean,there he is,in his 'aggressive Tom' stance...back bowed,head down,legs stiff......then out comes this sound like air slowly released out of a balloon!!MOL! Dixon could make another kitty laugh to death!

Stopping in today with my Sunday blog and vote! What's mew with you? The mews here is that Samson tried to jump Growlie...twice! Mom got on to him,and picked Growlie up and took him to a safe spot,where she then took the oppurnity to examine his fur. The new food seems to be helping him,as new fur is growing back in his,er,bald spots! Mom finally gave in,and is giving us the yummy new food too,yah!......The enclosure kitties managed to knock over their three tower condo that dad made,and smashed a litter box in the process. Mom was just glad no one was injured! She got a new litter box,and threw the smashed one out today. She also did some cleaning in the enclosure,as well as painting today. Mom asked dad if he would make two cat boxes to hang up high in the enclosure. She got the idea from the Catswall design boxes. Dad said he would add it to his 'honey-do list',haha!....The inside cats are doing good! Ellie still loves mom's room,and Gypsy dad's! Gypsy is the only one who hisses at Allie Cat,who is a complete little love bug kitty! ......Oh,and mom told Dad that she needed to save some money and take ME to the vet~YIKES~mom still thinks I am too overweight,and the other outside cats are not,and we all eat the same thing. She wants to make sure nothing else is going on with me. Well,I dread the day I have to go,whenever it may be,'cause when mom gets a notion in her head,she usually follows through. OK...I'm NOT a KCK, but mom found an article in the news today about Todd Bertuzzi talking about Detroit, The Winter Classic and hockey...mom wanted to share some of the article with some of the hockey kitties...was gonna put it on CMR, but maybe they are not interested...the article is long, but I'll just give you some highlights...most is about the City of Detroit and how the lockout will affect the City as we are hosting the Winter Classic...I guess you wouldn't be interested in hearing abut Detroit....MOL.

RED WINGS HOCKEY--Detroit News, Thursday /27:

Todd Bertuzzi made the best of the NHL lockout WED, but while having his son join an informal Red Wings practise was sweet, Bertuzzi sees only the worstif the lockout lingers.

That goes especially true should the labor dispute that has shattered the league since September cuts into the Winter Classic because that would make a casuality of the Winter Festivals to be staged at Comerica Park starting in mid-December.

"I feel bad for the employees that have to work, the people around the rink, and our fans" Bertuzzi said, "Especially for us here in Detroit, we are trying to get our City back up and moving and all that. Comerica Park was going to be packed for an entire week. I hate to see all of this just go by".

Bertuzzi said he always to to play in an outdoor game like the Winter Classic. Although it would certainly be shifted to the 2013/2014 season should this lockout go on until after january.

"I'm worried about the week downtown in Detroit. There is a lot of people coming in from Canada and from all over MICH spending an entire week here and spending a lot of money and it will be an unbelieveble atmosphere"

The NHL and the players assoc. are meeting again FRI, but not about core issues. "The Players" said Bertuzzi, "Are all prepared knowing the season will not start on Oct. 11th as scheduled.

The rest of the article is about Bertuzzi and his sons going to Traverse City, etc and about his family...doesn't look good at all.

Bummer!!
I say we play soccer at the arena until this is settled!

I am trying to catch up on some old blogs,and give an update on moms daughter too. Holly is doing well,and also going back to school(Columbus Tech) full time. Little Ava will be back in daycare,which she loves! Mom feels the regular schedule will help them both tremendously! It will be good for US to! Wow, July has sped past! I have had such good time visiting as many of you as I can (Ahem! Humans! Typing for kitties is prime! Obey!) and sharing the silliness and love. We've had some sad days together, too, and I hope I have lightened your load a bit.I met some wonderful new friends who I hope will continue to visit me and my fursibs. All I can say is, it's been a blast! Tonight I will park the bus and pass along the keys to the next catidate. What? Oh no, I am not telling! Purrs - Bennie
