Where I hang out: The guest parlour in his London home where he hosts salon events for guests with tea and delectable treats for all. The top discussion topics are felines and other endangered animals whom Sir William also likes to defend.
My favorite grubs: Dolphin-safe albacore tuna.
My pet peeves: People who don't want or try to understand cats
What I love about my owners: They are both concerned about the well-being of creatures great and small on uniquely-beauti- ful planet Earth.
My cat hobbies: Stand up for his fellow felines against those who would defame them.

Music, dancing, appetizers - parties usher in 2013
The first New Year's celebration dates back to around 2000 BC in Mesopotamia. The Times Square celebration began in 1904, when The New York Times opened its headquarters and hosted a big party, complete with fireworks, on New Year's Eve.
In 1907, the paper's head electrician constructed a giant lighted ball, made of wood and iron, weighed 700 pounds, and was lit by a hundred 25-watt bulbs.
Today, it's made of Waterford crystal, weighs almost six tons, and is lit by more than 32,000 LED lights. The party in Times Square is attended by up to a million people every year.
Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but New Year's celebrations can be so delightful! And since you've got a place to go--to see the ball fall--let us go, let's go, here we go!
Other cities have developed other ball-dropping traditions:
Atlanta, Georgia, drops a giant peach.
Eastport, Maine, drops a sardine.
Ocean City, Maryland, drops a beach ball.
Mobile, Alabama, drops a 600-pound electric Moon Pie. Tempe, Arizona has a giant tortilla chip which descends into a massive bowl of salsa.
Brasstown, North Carolina drops a Plexiglas pyramid containing a live possum.
Key West, Florida, drops an enormous ruby slipper with a drag queen inside it.
