How We Met
Auntie wanted a kitten when she was six, thinking that the "Kitten stage" would last for years and years but we grow up so fast. I became more attached to mom. I am very shy and somewhat anti social and I have a hard time revealing my true purrsonality around strangers.

No, mom does not have that app. She is not a phone person. She only has it in case of emergency. I do not know if I told you but mom finally settled her lawsuit when she broke her wrist. I am glad that you are back. Mom is calling me the barrel because I am getting wide around the middle. Rosie & I are good friends. She is wild and young. Would you like to go for a picnic today? We can not believe what is happening in this country with Boston and then Texas. Mom has an iphone 3. Let me know if you want our email. All is well here. Mom got her lawsuit settled. to celebrate the life of Angel Maggie."
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM (EST) [4:00 PM PST]
Please join us on Angel Maggie's CC page (#78317).
The service will be held by the park and duck pond nearby her home, where Maggie liked to walk and feed the birds.
*** A buffet dinner will be served by the water.***
Angel Maggie's Dad will be speaking at the start of the service.
We ask our furiends to feel free to speak of any memories you may have of our dear Angel Maggie.

Mom says that cats are like potato chips, you just can's have one. Rosie is a cutie and mom was missing Rhuby so much that she wanted another female red. They are very special. She is doing well. She came from a shelter and she was not happy about being caged all day long. She is coming a long and playing with us now. She does growl when we get too close and does not like doggie much. Did you see our newest member of the family. Mom wanted another red girl after Rhuby passed. Boy does she growl at all of us. She will not let anybody into the bedroom at night. Mom is hoping that she will calm down. She was a shelter cat and in a cage for at least 2 months. She is 10 months old. I wanted that hawk but he flew away when he saw me. I am sending big hugs and lots of love your way. We are in the clouds again and some rain coming our way this week. you have the same famous name as our mommy as we call our owner! she's janet's mom who owns us but janet her middle daughter is the one who does all the blogging for us! whew we're so happy the breakfast bash yesterday was a sure fire hit and glad it's all done and over with as janet came up with it at the last minute yesterday early on in the morning. she managed to keep ahead of most of it all and will be thanking only the ones who they didn't between early yesterday morning and early afternoon. sandy, ana, haley, angels

good morning!

Hi!!! Everyone have fun at the RRHOF??? I hope so! I saw MerryBelle getting her picture with the Lynrd Skynrd exhibit, and I saw Boo Kitty trying to play AC/DC’s guitars, and Mallow….oh Mallow-what can I say- it’s all caught on camera girls. Misty, thank you, and a fine job with the DJ booth. So today I give you all a challenge. We are headed home to hang until the holidays, so you have 5 hours until the train leaves the city. Your challenge…if you choose to accept it, is to run wild in the city shopping for…..ugly sweaters!!! Oh yes…tonight on the way home, we are having an ugly sweater pawty! The uglier, the better. I know EXACTLY what you are thinking, where can we find a sweater with Steve’s face on it-right? I have the one and only one made. Look, I have little flashing lights where my eyes should be, a flashing red nose, and if you press the mouth, it meows.
As a participant of this event, you are required to wear the ugliest, tackiest, shockingly colorful sweater you can imagine or find. We will have cocoa mug decorating, a photo booth to “capture the moment” with furiends, Karaoke singing and trimming a tacky tree. We are also having a tacky gift exchange. Oh…I have faith in all of you on this one!!! Put your furry heads together, or go it alone. It’s all for one, and all for fun! Tacky food is on the menu. Nothing but the best for us!!!

Hello…hello…*tap,tap,tap* Can everyone hear me?? Those of you in the back?? Remember on one of my blogs I mentioned about Sparkles K. and her sidekick,the decapitated tiger?? You’ll be happy to know her mother found a new one for her! Brand spanking new. Sparkles couldn’t WAIT to get it out of the bag and play with it. And, she immediately went for the head, trying to tear it off. Now…who is the lucky kitty rooming with her on the train??
Sooooo…you all want to get wild??? Want to let loose?? We are going to chug, chug to southern Ohio today. We are going to The Wilds. The Wilds is a private wildlife conservation center. It is a spacious 9,154 acres situated on reclaimed coal mine land. It contains over 25 non-native and hundreds of native species. It is the largest animal conservation center for endangered species in North America.
You wonder what we can do there, don’t you. What we CAN’T do is eat the birds or the fish. What we CAN do is choose between a fishing safari, a horseback safari, the sunset safari and, my favorite, a zip line safari!! Oh yes…you can get a flight-seeing adventure soaring over the herds of animals with the zip line safari. Way, WAY up high, squealing with delight, or screaming in terror. Depends how much you like heights. The sunset safari is purrfect for those romantics complete with a romantic dinner and a tour in an open air Jeep. I think the horseback safari is pretty much self explanatory. No riding the zebras. They HATE to be confused with a horse.

Choo-choo!!! All aboard the Steveland Express!!! Seems like a long time since we were all together. Hope you all spent the time enjoying your furiends and families. We’ll be at our destination in about 2 hours. This fine machine can move like no other. While on our way, please take advantage of our fine dining car, find your rooms, and get a little something, something in your bellies. And I mean little. Today we are going to…wait for it… Cedar Point!!! Now, some may say what the heck is a Cedar Point. Actually, most of you might say that. Let me tell you, you’re in for an amusing time!
Cedar Point is a 364 acre amusement park located on Lake Erie peninsula in Ohio. It opened in 1860, and is the second oldest amusement park in the U.S. It is the only amusement park in the world with 4 roller coasters over 200 feet high. It’s known as the roller coaster capital of the world. Please remember to keep all paws and tails inside until the ride has come to a complete stop….Mallow. But wait! There’s more! (I sound like a commercial now) Cedar Point also has thrill rides, water rides and water park (this ones for you Pig) a kitty land for the kits, and is totally handicapped accessible.
OK, all you thrill seekers and those with a need for speed, we’re off!!! Those who appreciate the more laid back lifestyle; I’ll point you to the more sedate area. Like Dodgem cars or the water rides where you can all get soaked to the bone, and smell like wet cat all day. Fun huh! Or, you can all head out to see the live entertainment department. There are many different live shows at various times throughout the day. Let’s see….. My brochure says there is Snoopy on Ice..mmmmm..a little cold for me. Or there is the Extreme Sports Stadium with live stunt shows, or live singing at the Red Garter Saloon. NOW we’re talking!!! Who wants to Karaoke??? Oh yeah….that’s the ticket!!

Greetings from Steveland!
Greetings!!! I missed you all…did you miss me??? Don’t answer that. I need to thank Q.Cherish for the buttered toast experiment. That was totally her brainchild. Result: inconclusive. We ate all the bread and butter too fast! I’ve decided to clue you all in on SOME of what I have planned. I would rather prepare you now so you can pack appropriately. Dress warm and get ready to walk. There! Now you all know what to expect. HAHAHAHA!! Kidding. We are going to travel in style. You’ll be gently rocked to sleep nightly, and have access to anything you want to eat anytime day or night. No, not THAT kind of rocked to sleep. We are going to tour Ohio by railroad! I figure we can give all the pilots a break, and let them all enjoy the trips. Yep. The Steveland Express will take us from destination to destination. I have a little deal with the conductor also, so we can all take turns whistling at the crossings. Just stick your head out the window and pucker up and let ‘er rip. No, correction. You get to pull the lever, and the TRAIN whistles. We will all have plush and spacious sleeping compartments, there is a domed dinner car so you can see the sights whizzing past you, make you all kinds of dizzy, and, of course, the passenger cars.
We will be doing a fair amount of walking. For those kitties with handicaps, we will have assistive services available. Don’t forget your cameras!!! You never know just when you can catch that embarrassing moment furever on film. Any questions?? Anyone?? OK! Next Tuesday we will start our adventure at…

Good morning!!! What better way to start the day than what is in store for us today!!!! My furiend Cherish, awhile ago was game to try the cat and buttered toast experiment. So, as we’re e all rather hungry and willing to eat the evidence of this experiment, I invited Cherish to the castle to perform said experiment. Please gather around and be prepared for what Cherish has in store for us. I now turn the floor over to Cherish!
Hello everyone! I nearly forgot...… we haven’t tested the cat/buttered toast question yet. Let’s get together and make this happen. A number of you indicated you have butter stashed away for this experiment … okay, let’s call it what it really is … a Play Day! Bread is in the freezer and can be defrosted with little notice. The toasters have been checked by an electrician and are in good working order. Just bring a loaf of bread, a stick of butter, and your sense of adventure.
For those who are not in the know, or who have forgotten just what all this is about, we are testing two theories against one another. The first is that a cat always lands on its feet. DUH! The second is that a piece of buttered toast will always land buttered side down. BUT what if we strap a piece of buttered toast, butter side up, to a cat’s back, then drop the cat. Which side will land right side up, which side will hit the carpet?
Additional “tests” that will be purrformed are how far can a buttered cat slide on plastic sheeting, and how long will it take to lick all the butter off our coats when we have sufficiently tested various theories? And how big will the resulting hairball be? I’m thinking we’ll be making the record books with this one.
King Steve has graciously offered us the use of the castle for this history-making trial. There will be a few rules. NO butter on castle flooring or furnishings. NO strapping two cats back-to-back. NO catsip wine imbibing prior to any testing.”

Greetings from Steveland!
Well…today is national roof over your head day, so let’s all take a moment to give thanks for our furever homes. Now, as I said yesterday, we’re gonna be a traveling. Time to pack up the pawty plane and get underway. I had the chefs package boxed lunches for everyone with tuna sammies,chicken salad sammies,chips and the wonderful cookies we made yesterday. Where I’m I taking you, you may ask?? I would ask that also before I got on any plane with me! Today we’re going less than 20 minutes from my home to Alliance, Ohio. Means nothing to you, I’m sure. Let me tell you what is located in Alliance-the Cat Fancier’s Assossiation museum (CFA) !! Yep, got to love a whole museum dedicated to cats. It is referred to as the Feline Historical museum. Hop aboard the planes and off we go!
The Cat Fanciers Association has collected cat artifacts and memorabilia for over 20 years, and showcase the collection in the museum along with over 1500 cat books. It has breed related information, cat art work (not drawn by cats-darn it), and cat show memorabilia. It was built to acquire and conserve the history of cats. You’ll be amazed by the artwork exhibits, and paintings, some dating back to 1810. You’ll view sculptures and bronze figurines, cat jewelry and collectables.
Bring your cameras and get pictures with your furiends. I’m having a photographer get a group picture of us all in front of the museum. We can eat our lunch in the gardens of the museum, then pack it up and head back to the castle. Ok, single file boarding the plane please, watch the kits don’t pick the dried gum off the bottom of the seats, and we’re on our way!!! Anyone know annoying songs that will drive everyone crazy?? Cool! We’re on our way!

Howdy!!! Are you all nice and rested up?? Good!!! Day two at the castle and I’m still lost. SO many hallways!!! I’ll need a GPS unit to find the litter box. Thank goodness for the outside bushes for “emergencies”. Was everyone comfy?? Sleep well?? You know, winter is upon us so if you need extra blankies, just give a yowl.
Today for national cookie cutter week, we all can chip in and make cutout cookies. As always, please be sure to use paw sanitizer first. Make and decorate how many you want to take home to furiends or family, or to simply gobble them all up yourself.
Do you know the history of the cookie cutter?? Well, you will! Its just one of those facts you HAD to know. Dazzle your pawrents with your wealth of info. Ready to take notes??? I have orange crayons and paper for those who need it.
The first cookie cutters were used in Egyptian times. They were ceramic or wooden molds used to make biscuits or bread. Quickly forward to the 16th century and the Queen of England I was famous for making the first gingerbread men. She had them decorated to resemble her guests. The popularity of the gingerbread man increased, forcing the bakers to create molds to expedite the process of cutting them out. By this time, cookie cutters were made out of tin. As Europeans migrated to the United States, so did the cookie cutter. That make you hungry?? I am!! Get full; get ready, because tomorrow we’re taking a little tour. Dress warm!!! The destination IS located in Ohio!!

Greetings Margaret Maggie Kitty!! Thanks for sharing my special night with me!! What a pawty!!!
*Yawn* what a fun night we all had last night!! I thank you all for attending, and staying for the after pawty. This is scary…King Steve. It’s going to take me awhile to get used to walking in all these fancy cloths, no laughing now. Especially the tights. For the longest time I joked with former Kings about their tights, and here I am!! Let me tell you, wasn’t easy to find them in my size either. If you look real close…no, not that close…you’ll see the magic of suspenders. Not only that, they did have to purchase them from the infant girls section of the store to get them to fit me. There will be NO making fun of the ruffles on the behind area. I’ll just walk backwards so you can’t see that.
Where was all this leading to??? Heck if I can remember. Oh yes…this month at the castle. First of all, feel free to stay as long as you like, wherever you want. I’m down with it all and pretty easy to get along with. Actually, it’s pretty lonely if no-one else is around, so this month will be one big pajama pawty! I’m going to plan some trips of areas in Ohio. Don’t groan, believe it or not, there are some sights to see. The Ohio license plate says “The Heart of it All”. Not sure what they mean by all, but we’ll find out.
For today we’ll all just relax and enjoy some spa time and eat til we’re silly. I had a special meal planned for today. One of my fav’s and I hope you all enjoy the make your own pizza bar and dessert go round. It’s a revolving dessert display-pick whatever, and how ever much you want! Its kind of fun to jump up and ride in a circle for awhile. Don’t forget to paw sanitize first!!!

I would love to celebrate Hankuah too. I love all holidays. They bring friends closer. I am shopping for a perfect gift for you. Mom is making 16 bean soup today with the left over hambone. I will bring some for my pretty girl. I love anything. I use to live by a spanish restaurant and their food was prime pickings. Sending hugs. Well…this is the last day of the month. The last day of my campaign, and I appreciate your support, time, and patience with me. I have met many, many new and wonderful furiends, and have gotten even closer to old furiends. I hope I completed my mission which was for each and every one of you to reach out and meet someone new and enjoy the great CC community we have. So, who will be the last set of sidekicks for today?? I’ll reach into my Steve bag of tricks,(it’s a big bag, and there are candy wrappers in here too) and I pulled out Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Got to love the Westerns, the heart of all good movies. And, I just LOVE little spurs that jingle jangle! Yoo-hoooo!!!! Cherish! This is for you!!!!!
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a 1969 film with Paul Newman playing Butch Cassidy, and Robert Redford playing the Sundance Kid. The film tells the story of two Wild West outlaws as they migrate to Bolivia to outrun the law, and search for a more successful outlaw career.
Butch Cassidy is the clever and talkative leader of the Hole in the Wall Gang. Sundance Kid is his closest companion, and deadly shot. They attempt and succeed at several robberies and elude the law by several clever escapes. They then escape to Bolivia as they view it as a bank robber’s paradise. They soon learn that plan is not a good one, as neither speaks Spanish.
Butch suggests “going straight” and getting a job, but after getting the job, learn going straight is not for them either. They plan a bankroll heist, and at the end, both are seriously wounded, but go down together.
