How We Met
We were registering Bruiser at Animal Control and there was a couple sitting near us. The wife was crying as she held the white cat. Upon inquiring I learned that the husband who was with her had lost his job; they had to move and their new place did not take cats. They had brought the cat to the pound four times, this was the fourth because they could not bear to leave her. She was declawed and an older cat. Rather than letting Kitty take her chances at a "shelter" whose success rate was 30%, we took her home with us.

LAV & Purrs too
Madam Kitty you great furball you!!
How's it going now that you got a happy safe home? I love SPA time too! Everyday or twice a day if I can wrangle it and fool Mom into thinking she forgot.
the weather up North is just now changing into Spring with April Showers Bringing May flowers... or purrhaps June flowers...
And that means I'll be shedding my warm winter coat. Got a wad off me at lunchtime (hers not mine) just before my nap. Used a fine comb after brushing and found a FLEA! We are going to have a real flea and tick season because we did not have a seriously cold winter... or so the humans claim.
I am an outside/inside kitty. Always inside at night. First thing in the morning I go out, across the street to the neighbors garage where their two dogs eat and sometimes nap. I check for any good leftovers and then catch a quick nap up on their soft bed. Alas, the fleas also live there. I bring a couple home when I get a chance. Then when Mom finds one or two on me she is so pleased that she is doing some good in the world.
We rally have to take good care of our humans, huh?
