Hi Treetrunks, Welcome!
My name is Pete, My sisters and I thought you might like a few pointers on how to navigate a round and meet new friends here on CC, so here goes.
WELCOME to CC! It’s very nice meeting you. We hope you’ll enjoy your time here & will make lots of new friends along the way. If you go to the home page you’ll find all kinds of fun things to do as well as loads of information by hitting the various links or tabs on the page. The University gives you the opportunity to test your feline knowledge & earn a badge for each session that you complete plus there are games & contests under other tabs too.
Do you know how to navigate easily to the pages you want or see mentioned in blogs? Look at the address bar (URL) in your browser. The numbers on the end are your page number. Each page has a different number so all you need to do is erase your number, type in the page you want to visit, and then press enter. Then…you should be on the page that you typed in. This makes it much easier to vote for other cats that are running for specific badges throughout the month & will also let you connect with other kitties that are visiting that cat. Another way is by using links. The links are always in blue so to answer someone that blogged to you (or you’ve found an interesting sounding cat you’d like to visit), all you need to do is click on their link to take you to their page. I know it sounds slightly confusing at first but once you get the hang of it you’ll have loads of fun interacting with others in the community.
The CC community is comprised of thousands of pages. Here are some special pages that are frequented by our feline friends:
*Mouse Hockey League (see Dean’s page #36497 for details)
*Rainbow Bridge Scoop newspaper #63509 (Angel Duckie, Editor, #51627) for kitties who have crossed over.
*CMR Catpaign and Mews Room page #46883 where kitties post their news and the cat of the day campaigns are announced,
*Birthday Central #73341 where you can register your birthday & adoptiversary or see who’s having one.
*Community Directory on page #112364.
It’s always great if you can vote for the COTD (Cat of the Day) nominee and then go by & congratulate the daily COTD (cat of the day) winners. It’s also great to vote for the COTM (cat of the month) nominee that’s currently running. This month the nominee is Cherish (#228076) so please try to go & meet her if you can. Finally it’s nice to visit with the COTM (This month it’s Queen Papoose (10366). This lets everyone know there’s a new cat in “town” & also lets you get to know some of the others that romp through each day. CC is a fun place & we hope you enjoy your time here with us.
