My favorite tricks and treats are: When he wants treats he will paw at the waste basket or at a treat bag & meow until he gets them. He also has the biggest/widest tongue of any cat I have ever seem. and He loves any temptation treats
Where I hang out: looking out the back door or sleeping on his back in the middle of the front room.
My favorite grubs: iams
My pet peeves: closed toilet seat, having his eyes cleaned and a closed bathroom door. (his poor mom has no privacy whatsoever)
What I love about my owners: She loves & spoils me the most
My cat hobbies: play outside or sit on moms lap

Please vote Rosie #252822 for COTD on Monday, 5/20
Recently a cat loving family had their red female cat, Angel Rhuby cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The cat mom of this family decided she would like to adopt another red female and as luck would have it, there was Rosie at the Petsmart Adoption Center. Rosie #252822 and her new mom bonded instantly and Rosie came to her new home that day. Rosie was at the shelter for over two months and was a bit wild. She didn't like being kept in a cage and would fight with the shelter workers when they tried to put her back in her cage. This was a big reason why Rosie #252822 wasn't adopted sooner; she was scared and the people looking at her were not patient with her until her new mom came along. Now at her new home Rosie #252822 is a cuddle cat with her daddy and loves to play with her brother Yogi. She gets along with the rest of her furry siblings and is a happy cat. Rosie #252822 will not eat dry food but she will eat any kind of wet food. She doesn't like dry treats either! Rosie loves to play with her furry mouse and the laser light. Rosie #252822 is happily spoiled now in her new home and we are very happy she has found a wonderful loving home. Rosie would be so honored to have a COTD badge to display on her page. This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. Please pounce by to paw ANGEL CRASH #248838 a vote today so that his foster mom will have a fond memory to cherish & so that this sweet angel can earn the honor of making his star the most brilliant in the night sky tomorrow night.

PLEASE VOTE KAYLIN #251700 for COTD MAY 6th
Please paw by & meet this beautiful Champagne Point Tonkinese kitty. KAYLIN #251700 is not just a beautiful face she is also a CFA Champion & a Mom. She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #215700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken, that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. She Loves to make new friends so won't you please stop and give KAYLIN #251700 your vote and make a new friend.

Vote COTD 4/29 COLT, WINCHESTER & KIMBER #251320
This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

I had a wonderful birthday on 17 April. In addition to my new enclosure, I got a new toy, a brightly coloured jingly ball, and chicken to eat. And all the good wishes of my furiends, and the gifts, made it really special.
And then it was followed by COTD, and another day of celebration! Thanks a lot for wishing me and voting for me. And thanks for the chicken livers, hugs and kisses.

Patter (249085) is a beautiful 6 year old tabby, who enjoys her outside time, ( She is quite the hunter) and loves playing with the catnip toys that her mom gets for her. Her boyfriend, Hedley tells us that she has a great sense of humor and is lots of fun.
Patter & her family support the COTD and COTM candidates and they are frequent visitors to kitties in need of comfort and prayers.

Thanks for the birthday and COTD wishes!!!! I had a great birthday yesterday, Mom took me outside to sit in the nice sun, and I had special treats and tuna, overall a great day, sun and napping!!! Purrfect for me!!!! I was so happy I am COTD today, I told Mom I wanted more tuna and to go out with her again, but she said she has to work so ok to tuna, but no to outside (its nice today, but if you can believe it, we are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow ...YUCK) Hope you have a great day!!! VOTE WINDY POINT ANGELS # 237234 COTD 4/5
As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.
We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--
“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.
It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.
Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”
Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. These precious kitties are so thankful to have a loving family after they were abandoned when their previous owners moved away. Their new family, who are long time loyal members of CC, realized that Fang & Drooler faced an uncertain future because of their advanced age and medical conditions; so they decided to take them in and try to find them another home. Fang & Drooler #236550 have now taken their place among the other rescues in the family! They love to hang out with mom, enjoy spending time in their beds or on the couch, & enjoy playtime outside! They both meow their displeasure with car rides, strangers, vacuums, & trash trucks; Fang, in particular, has an aversion to feathers, preferring to play only with a shoelace! These sweet kitties are also dealing with an Auto Immune disorder: Drooler has had 7 teeth removed as a result; Fang suffers from mouth and paw ulcers, and is not too happy that he has to take medications for the ulcers, insulin to treat Diabetes, stress, & will start meds for Hyperthyroidism. Along with Luvbug, Lil Jag, Buster, Smudge, & Angels Kuce, Sphinx, & Dancing Bear, Fang & Drooler #236550 have been given a chance to live with this wonderful family, who are well known to everyone for the love and compassion they have for homeless and abandoned cats! Or the modem, or the keyboard, or any of the electrical sockets. This has a tendency to cause explosions and has the added disadvantage to being somewhat risky to your good self. Vomiting on these things is also discouraged for the same reasons (as Sass knows to his lasting regret!).
Keep your paws off the telephone.
The modem needs it to access the Web, so long distance calls to their relatives in America should wait until later. Jake, take note!!
Don't chew any of the computer cables.
Not only will this spoil your enjoyment but it will also give you a very sore mouth and a nasty headache.

Thank you for your well wishes on my cotd award.
Izy girl is so deserving of this cotd award. She will love all the attention that she will receive. In the fall of 2010 she was rescued from a stray with 8 kittens. We took her inside to socialize her and the kitties and kept her inside to recover from her spaying after the kittens all found homes. He ear was tipped and we did plan to let her back outside as a camp cat but she didn't want to go back outside and she was such a perfect house guest. However, all of us campers must leave camp for the winter and she had no choice but to return to outdoor living. Now this broke my heart so I brought her to my house with Tina and Magellan but that was a bit stressful since I'm in a camper with no way but the bathroom to separate them. I did this for about a week and my dear friend Beverly (who has found homes for many many kittens but couldn't have a cat because of her mother no wanting one) anyway Beverly took her home for what was suppose to be the winter only. But because of Izy's wonderful, easy going and very well mannered ways she became part of a very loving family and she is doing wonderful. I do see her when she comes to camp with the family and she does go outside when the weather is perfect. Two of her kittens found homes with friends of mine and so I also see the kittens when they come to camp with their family's. Yes Izy was a lucky girl and she is doing well. Thank you for all the nice comments and well wishes. She deserves the cotd award today.Come visit me, Vicki, Tina, Izy & Magellan.

Neelix is a very handsome seven year old tabby who was rescued along with his brother when he was a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot. Since that tiny kitten was adopted by his loving pawrents he has trained them to be excellent staff for himself and his brothers. Regarding his brothers, Hedley and Jakar, the three of them comprise the famous (or perhaps infamous) “pawty animals”. These boys are always the life of any party, they create lots of fun at every MHL Mouse Hockey Game, and they are always the first to lend a paw on any project that benefits the CC community. They’re always there to offer comfort to the sad, good thoughts and healing wishes to the sick and congratulations to those who are celebrating. Neelix and his family always support the COTD and COTM candidates. They are a credit to the CC community!
Neelix is an outstanding member of our CC family, and since both of his brothers already have their very own COTD badges, it seems that it is time for Neelix to have one of his own. Won’t you please drop by and give this handsome guy a vote, on Monday so he can have the badge he so much deserves.

Happy Caturday everyone & thank you for your vote support yesterday! Are you ready for another zoo trip? I hope so because this is going to be a big one & you’ll be exhausted by the time we’re done walking around. I’ve taken the liberty of reserving rooms for us to stay overnight & have assured the hotel manager that all of us will behave. That’s a hint for anyone with unusual ideas again this weekend…MOL! Okay, I just got the green light for us to board the Cyclone Express tour plane so let’s get aboard because it’s going to be a long flight to Vienna, Austria to visit one of the must see places of the area, which is the Tiergarten Schönbrunn (the Zoo)!
Vienna's Tiergarten Schonbrunn offers one of the most unique and refined zoo experiences in the world. Originally constructed around the turn of the 17th century, this Austrian landmark is often considered as the world's first modern zoo. The zoo was founded by the husband of Empress Maria Theresa and was often frequented by members of the Hapsburg dynasty for their summer retreats. Today it still retains much of its original beauty and tranquil charm with magnificent 18th century buildings and a stunning botanical garden. The Tiergarten Schönbrunn was voted the best European Zoo in 2010. What makes this Zoo so special is the location, as it’s found inside the Schönbrunn imperial palace and gardens domain, so there’s plenty to see in the few square kilometers of open sky, trees, elegant gardens and magnificent architecture. The best things about Tiergarten Schonbrunn Zoo is the vast open space where animals roam almost free, with just a few cages for birds that would fly away if not restricted this way. If you bring the kits with you they’ll be delighted by the peacocks roaming at their feet and other curios animals that are walking together with the visitors. There are even visiting hours for feeding the animals! That’s the best thing about the Tiergarten Schonbrunn Zoo: it doesn’t look like a Zoo in most part, but more like an interactive educational school. If you don’t feel like visiting the Zoo you can always visit the Schonbrunn gardens because I guarantee you’ll like them too. Just make sure you don’t stand in the way of those practicing Yoga or jogging between the perfectly cut trees. There are other things to see at Schonbrunn domain besides the Zoo, imperial palace and gardens. On my list there’s the Gloriette gate, the labyrinth and the famous the Palm House. I don’t know about all of you but I’m excited to be going to Austria! We’ll be staying at the Hotel Bergwirt, which is pet friendly & enjoys a privileged location directly next to Schönbrunn Gardens. The unique character of this hotel, the informal atmosphere and the impressions of a beautiful city will make our visit an unforgettable experience. Happy Thursday everyone! Thanks for stopping by to visit me & paw me a COTM vote yesterday! Each day brings me a little closer to the finish line but there are still a few twists & turns for me to make & I’m very happy to be taking you along with me…MOL!
It’s still a very cold 18 at our house today but the sun is shining & we may actually see above freezing temps later this afternoon. That could mean that the silly dog will be allowed to stay out longer. Keeping my paws crossed on that one…MOL! Today I’m still meowing about unusual animal friendships & the one I’ve got for today is very well known on the internet via YouTube.

One day in 1999 in Massachusetts, a kitten in a state of some distress walked onto the property of the elderly Collitos. At first they were concerned that the kitten might not survive – but before long, they noticed that the cat had a strange nurse. A crow was seen bring the starving kitten worms to feed on, and ushering the kitten away from harm by cawing at her. The crow, given the name Moses, and the cat, called Cassie, became internet sensations when the Collitos put videos of them together on YouTube. Eventually, the Collitos were able to coax Cassie indoors with cat food and she spent her evenings enjoying the luxuries of indoor cat life, but every morning at 6 a.m., Moses would peck at the screen door looking for his friend, and Wallace and Ann let Cassie out to play. The unlikely friends spent hours frolicking and wrestling outside and the Collitos filmed the playful pair’s escapades for five years until one day Moses quit showing up. American crows live only seven to eight years in the wild, so it’s thought that Moses passed away. Ann died in 2006, but Cassie, who’s now 12 years old ,still lives with Wallace in their Massachusetts home. Cassie and Moses’ story will continue to touch lives and teach lessons about friendship for years to come, thanks to a children’s book by Lisa Fleming. The 48-page book, “Cat and Crow: An Amazing Friendship,” shares the story of Cassie and Moses’ special bond and includes newspaper clippings and photographs of the two.
Now that’s what I call a true furiendship of different species! I checked out the videos & they’re absolutely adorable the way they play together. You can see them together in my gallery. We are please to introduce this week's Special Recognition Candidate, Percy #245206. Percy came to be at her forever home due to the kindness of a neighbor. The neighbor took in Percy's mom cat and once her litter was born, the human daughters at her forever home fell in love with her. Percy #245206 stood out because of her wonderful personality. Percy is a prima donna kitty until it is playtime; then watch out! Percy #245206 loves to play with her sibling, Simba, and she enjoys ambushing him. They have a grand time together playing with their toys and each other. Percy is also a talker. She loves to have a conversation and even comes when her name is called. That is smart since a treat may be involved if your name is being called, and Percy #245206 enjoys Temptation treats. She gets a little upset, though, if she is expecting a treat and she is ignored. Percy #245206 can use her paws like furry hands and manages to open things. Percy likes to sit on the back of the recliner and watch her family as she relaxes and observes what is going on. Happy St Patrick's Day! A Frosty +7 here!
Good morning friends. Thought we would try to make a round again on CC both of kitties we regularly visit and those new friends and some we don't know yet. Got to make this a c/p. We are still waiting to see if Zeus will have found his forever home. Spring has come and their are all lot more kitties on the streets that need rescue. no-kill rescues fill fast. Kill shelters are not a good option for us kitties anyway. That is why mom keeps doing what she does.
We are all well and healthy. The dogs have their physicals coming up April first--- April Fools dogs! When mom comes to pick you up from the vet, after staying there for Easter, they are not done with you! Shots coming up too, he-he. Think Handy Andy has a rabies shot due the end of April, but the rest of us are later in the summer.
The weather is still ice and snow here, with more snow coming this week--- will it never end? Sorry Barney still hasn't done any more stories, but promise we will work on that. Still have to get more pictures posted of our past kitties on the Inspiration page. Will try to label those too. Mom still has to do taxes and we hope that means a refund coming back-- we hope!
